Re: What does a positive pregnancy test really look like??

  • I’m going to the doctor but it’s Labor Day weekend and I found out on Friday. Do these test look positive to you? Some were taken at night and two (brightest two) were first thing in the am. Along with the test I also have tinder breast, been sleeping like crazy, hate the smell of different things i usually love. There are two photos and the one with a black background is darkened, sorry the lighting in my bathroom sucks!

EDIT * they are darker than the lighting makes them look which is why I edited it*

They do look positive but I’d go get pink dye tests ASAP, first response probably your best bet. Blue due test are notoriously hard to read and can be inaccurate!

  • First post after some lurking. Hope I'm doing everything according to TOU! Also on my phone so I'm not sure I have access to all the options.

Got my BFP this morning and took two more throughout the day to confirm haha. On Saturday I took an online cheapie that was negative. Wish I had gone for the expensive stuff sooner!

My last period started on 7/16 so I am completely clueless as to when I ovulated and conceived. I honestly thought I was out and waiting for AF to arrive after CD 60 or visit the doctor. Any thoughts based on the darkness of the FRER or not really a good way to judge?

  • @lisush at this point, you shouldn’t even be taking these tests. They will get lighter at this point in pregnancy if I’m not mistaken. My lmp was 7/6, so I’m 9w2d pregnant. I haven’t taken a test since the first week of August. I would suggest calling your doctor.
  • @ejoseph16 Thanks for the response! I have an appointment with my OB/GYN already scheduled for Tuesday, so I'll probably just wait for that. But I'll give them a call today anyway =).

I have actually been taking pregnancy tests pretty consistently since early August and this is the first time I've gotten a positive! So either the ones I was using were REALLY really bad (possible) or I ovulated very late, or both.
