@sctiger everyone leaving at once and during the thick of the "storm" that led to people getting stuck. They are still stuck! Children are on the school bus and some children are still at school. I can't even deal with it.

So my sweet baby that used to sleep, now finds it to be overrated. The last few days we are up every 45-60 mins all frigging night, then at 5ish he is up for the day. Then he's been a total crankapotamus during the day. Add in the 4th snow day for DD1, and DD2 being in her own mood. We're all cooped up in the house. My H is still working stupid hours and I'm seriously drained. Yah I know... wahhhmbulance. How do people do 3? Seriously, I'm asking. How?

I think it's more that they don't have any way to treat the roads. Up in ma they start sanding and salting the roads as soon as the bad weather starts and a lot of that stuff (Nasty shit that turns your car white) stays on the roads and helps in future storms. If the roads have never been treated AND they don't have the plows to keep up, even a tiny bit of snow can be really slick.

Our trash pick up comes on Tuesdays and Fridays. Last Friday we had an ice storm that crippled the city. Eye roll. Obviously no pick up that day. Yesterday, another ice storm and no trash pickup. Eye roll. Now we have so much trash that I'm not sure I have a place to keep it until they run again! I'm seriously thinking of draping a sheet over it and trying to pass it off as a giant bush that I'm trying to keep from dying in the freeze. Yep, suddenly there is a big bush in my driveway. You haven't noticed it before????

It is icy with snow. But we don't have the equipment or infrastructure to handle this. We look like a joke and I hate it.

Thanks. This was going to be my question too. I saw something on the news about the snow in GA this morning, but was busy getting breakfast ready for M that I didn't catch the details. Being from Canada I just couldn't picture how it was causing such chaos. But that totally makes sense if you guys aren't properly equipped

@pitchslap DS1 has asked me questions about god before I have even had coffee in the morning. Things like, I know god makes the rain and the sun mom, but what else does he do? And when is his birthday? I thought I had more time to get my act together on the god thing!

From what I've heard from people on the roads in Atlanta, it's snow but mostly ice now.  I'd take driving in Chicago while snowing over driving in Atlanta while snowing any day, and it's not just because of the snow plows and drivers.  I swear in Atlanta as soon as it starts snowing it immediately turns into a thin/thick layer of ice on the road.  Since I'm so used to that, the first few times driving in Chicago while it was snowing had me really worried.  Now I've kind of realized that it doesn't do that as bad here.

I guess so, Grayson had been sleeping like a champ for two weeks and then bam! We were up all night, I made a feather bed palate(sp?) on his floor. I got sick of going up and down the stairs. I try not to get on TB it makes it harder for me to go back to sleep!

Then if it's something like cartoons that doesn't make sense we usually just conclude, "that's silly! a talking mouse! that's crazy!" and then move on.

I spilled coffee all over our cream carpet yesterday. I resolved it scrubbed and vacuumed today it's still a much darker spot. Anybody know something that works? :-/

I did the same thing and could never get it out! Please tell me if you find a solution that works. I even rented a carpet shampooer and that didn't work... Maybe a professional cleaning would help... I don't know.

The part that sold me on the Nextfit and the Radian RXT really was how easy I could put my kids in them. I went to BBB, tried buckling one of my twins in the seats I liked, and decided which ones were easier than others. Very scientific I know! I figure they all have great safety ratings and after reading about them on csftl.org, it really came down to which were easiest to use.

Took Grayson to the doctor. His ears look fine and he doesn't have the flu. His doctor just said to put lotion on his rash and if it doesn't get better to bring him back. Not sure where the rash came from and we're still dealing with a fever. I am beyond frustrated because we didn't get any answers.

@Colieann31 Glad he doesn't have the flu or an infection but bummer there isn't anything to "treat" Babies get a lot of different kinds of rashes with various viral illnesses, so that's probably what it's from. It probably doesn't even bother him so try not to stress about the rash
