Ugh. So, I have a friend who I started working with when H and I were just dating. We worked together for 5 years. We are friends on FB and we run into each other periodically, but we don't "hang out". He asked me out before he realized I had a bf, and I think the feeling stuck for him. Anyway, he has went in spurts dropping off the face of the planet every so often, and appears back. I know he has a history of depression. He just posted what pretty much comes off as a suicide note. I don't have any way of getting a hold of anyone who could check on him or anything. So, basically, I'm left to sit here and pray that he was just venting about life and nothing will come of it.

@chicagochic82 He only has like 25 fb friends. I recognized the one that I met once, but she lives in Philly. Not a whole lot she can do from there. But, she said she is trying to get a hold of somebody too. Things haven't been great these last few months for him I guess. I really hope it's a ploy for attention, but that's not really his style.

Our police department here has a direct number, like a hotline that is. 1-888 thing. In a situation like this, I would call that number and speak with someone about it. They would probably send an officer out to check up. Do you have something like that?

Eta- I just read that, the number is not 1-888 thing, don't start calling it people.

Honestly, I'm not sure. And, I don't know where he lives However, the girl I messaged is trying to get in touch with his family. So, at least something is being done. Hopefully, he is fine. Just makes me sad for him. He is a really sweet guy and just really wanted to settle down, but never found the girl. There was a girl once, but ended up getting a great job offer out of state and took it. I mean, it could obviously still happen, but he turned 38 in August and I think he feels like if it hasn't happened yet, it isn't going to.

So depressed. My data plan on my phone is about to go over (I'm at 95% now) so I won't be able to bump all day tomorrow until my phone resets on the 21st.

I stole DH's phone to post this message while I nurse the midnight snacks that this baby's requiring while we are away. If only my in laws set up their wifi. Not cool
