I'm DEFINITELY over the oatmeal posts on FB and TB. I also just moved the high chair into the living room and gave LO a mum mums, a banana in a mesh feeder, and some formula in a sippy cup (she just ended up wearing it) while letting her watch Ghostbusters. And ya know what??? She had a blast, and my H and I got 15 minutes to breath. It was glorious.

@JANCANDANCE, if you want to feel annoyed, mosey on over to the Aug14 board. They're talking baby registries, Chinese birth charts, cheese fries, and belly bands....and they've been pregnant for a minute. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to join, and I truly appreciate all you STM putting up with all of us FTM.

@34blondie Nice I lived in Mke for 4 years and spent many days there playing beach volleyball! I also lived in Hawaii, so the beaches don't compare but it's better than nothing!

It looks like I'm gonna win my fantasy football championship game tonight. Suck it, team You Chose Poorly. I am the token girl in a league of football-obsessed dudes and this feels good. Almost good enough to forget that my firm is going to downsize again and no attorney is safe. My boss called me in Friday to make sure I wasn't planning to leave to be a SAHM any time soon, yikes.

@subliminalrabbit thank you for that post. I have been drafting and not posting anything for a while because I was worried about a negative reaction or rubbing someone the wrong way. I eff up somehow with Beckett or DH every day and then I figure something out (on my own or from advice on this board) and feel like celebrating. Please call me out if you see me on a high horse because I certainly have no business there.

ETA I really should say Beckett AND DH, I think I made both of them cry today. ETA to be honest I definitely made both of them cry today, shame on me.

Rabbit...I'm not talking about you! I have one in particular who ALWAYS asks the dumbest most common sense questions ever! I get the typical first mom questions but when you only post to ask about feeding solids as a purée or not, about your "snacking" infant, and now a new post about rocking your LO... I CANNOT handle anymore. I also said I feel bad for having a short fuse about the questions. I think you all (FTM) are totally valid in the way that you feel and the questions you have. It is also frustrating when a question is asked and then it isn't what the OP wants to hear. So not you...I love you and lil E!

Ita @subliminalrabbit I am more attachment with DS than dd, but she had colic and liked the independent play as she grew. Who knows what will happen with subsequent kids, ya know? If I told my whole story I would get side eyed like crazy from certain types of moms, and it's whatever. You are a fantastic mom, however you're doing it! Not to mention, you make ridiculously cute babies!

OK FFSC: I am beyond terrified of flying. We are flying to Cali after our cruise, and I'm glad DH will be with me, because I have to get loaded, otherwise I'll have a break down. I don't get how he flies for a living. ::shudder:: it makes my hands sweaty, like breathing into a paper bag anxiety.

OMG DH took me to dinner tonight and it turns out he planned a surprise dinner with our closest friends for my birthday on Tuesday! Everyone surprised me at Ruths Chris! Amazing! Major points for DH!!

@cindyrelluh I wasn't a nervous flyer until I had LO. On our flight back from Christmas I was a nervous wreck and started crying when we hit turbulence lol.

My LO doesn't have any night feedings but makes up multiple times crying. I bought the book The No Cry Sleep Solution but it was honestly a waste of money in my opinion. I can establish a routine without a book. I haven't pinpointed why LO wakes up so much at night. I doubt he's hungry because he'll have just eaten 45 minutes earlier. We moved his crib in our room hoping that that might help a little but it didn't seem to have helped last night. We're just doing a bunch of trial and error stuff and hopefully find something that works other than a swaddle.

@nursemommy13 me too! When I flew to Germany, alone, I could only take Tylenol pm because I was pg with dd, and I lost my mind. The girl next to me was super sweet, and helped keep me calm, but we hit a patch of rough air over the middle of the flippin' ocean and I about hyperventilated!

On a separate note: AF reared her ugly head this morning. I'm currently snuggled in the fetal position with DS next to me, but I'm glad it's here now so I'm period free on the cruise.

@colieann31 That's what it always is, trial and error. I learned that very early! When DS wakes in the MOTN, I always run through a quick checklist in my head: Wet? Poopy? Paci? Too cold? Too warm? Teething? Being pinched? Scared of the black abyss that is his ginormous closet?
