UO

Aaaaaaand GO!

I haven't started one of these before. If I'm going to be getting notifications all day, you better be entertaining.

Also, no level 10 crazies, please. Level 1-9... Have at it.

  • @aimee223 I totally agree with the gender reveals. My SIL did one and even though it was my first nephew, I really wasn't into it. I just think that people really don't care as much as you do. Will they be happy? Sure. I just think they are too AW and nms. But to each their own I guess.
I do however, love the siggy contest. I giggle everytime I scroll through posts.

I am currently trying to think of my own UO. But I swear someone covers mine every week before I get the chance. Stupid time difference.

  • My hair has gotten long... my baby just turned 1 a few weeks ago, and I don't think I've had my hair cut since before she was born. Honestly, it's a combo of tight budget and not wanting to get a $10 haircut from a cheap place...

At any rate, I have been getting so many compliments on my hair... normally, I wear it up (usually just a pony tail or some similar variation) because it bothers me being so long (midway down my back) but with a few Christmas functions in the recent past, I've worn it down to be "dressy." DH loves it long, and other people apparently do too, some have even said they hardly recognize me.

So, to sum it up, my UO is that I have really nice pregnancy hair, yet I still don't like it. :-p
  • As soon as I see someone use "lol" or "LOL" here or on Facebook (non-ironically) I write them off as an idiot.

But how else are you suppose to know I am laughing? I do think it's used excessively though. Like when it's written after every other sentence. Geeze that girl is a laugh machine!

I don't enjoy New Years Eve/Day. Never have. To me, it's really just another day and always anticlimactic. I'm completely indifferent to staying up for midnight. The last few years, I've just done the night check in my barn an hour late and given my horses apples at midnight. Some celebration.

This year, DH bought tickets to see Blue Man Group, which will be cool in and of itself, but doesn't make New Years any cooler, IMO.

I agree... DHs birthday is January 1, so that sort of improved the holiday once we were married, but the staying up late thing never held much awe for me either... I was never a big party person, so when I was younger, I always stayed up with my family just cuz it was tradition, and after midnight, I went to bed with no new revalation... very anticlimatic, as you said. I don't know that DH and I even stayed up last year.

But will your husband spank you if you cut it?
Whaaat? What'd I miss? Is this Laura Elaine reincarnate?

I'm with you! It effin' pisses me off when people come to work sick and try to be the bloody hero or want to save their sick days. if I get sick from you and have to spend my sick leave because you're too selfish to keep your sick to yourself, you should expect negative outcomes. and when I say "negative outcomes" i meanEPIC MISFORTUNE (and not by accident).
  • If you're sick STAY THE FUCK HOME. I had a coworker who apparently came in all last week coughing and hacking over everything (she doesn't cover her mouth btw) and now, another coworker who had the misfortune to work with this sick selfish piece of shit, is in the hospital due to how severely the sickness affected her.

Good job you fucking bitch. I hope you coming in last week was worth it.

    *end rant*
i'm with you on this one. i fucking HATE those people. we have plenty here at my job, that are convinced the entire office will grind to a screeching halt if they don't come in. bitch i can't take nyquil, don't give me your plague!! you aren't that important. GO HOME!

I don't like to see pictures of babies with pacifiers in their mouths. One picture, whatever, every picture, ugh. What does your child really look like? I can't tell with that thing constantly in their mouth. Take it out for a cute pic!

I'll see your pacifiers and raise you faces covered in food goo.

This is something parents say "just you wait" about. Except my kid is almost three and I've managed to keep his face clean for photos. And I also hated pacifier photos so I took it out of his mouth if I wanted to take a picture. I think it's something that bothers some parents and not others.

I think not liking cinnamon rolls is enough to get me through this week. Although I will add Velveeta to the list since I'm feeling kinda saucy today. Nasty.

Bold. I don't agree, but I like your style, you daredevil, you.
I'm hoping to be nominated for the next May crazy.

  • I'm sticking to the one I came up with the other night: eggnog is nasty.

I don't mind babies with pacifiers as much as I mind 3 year olds with them. It just seems so unnecessary at that point.

Egg nog IS nasty. Currently there is a container in my fridge that a friend brought over, I gag everytime I think about pouring it out.

I dunno. I did one because my mom, sister and MIL all specifically, and excitedly, asked if I would do a cake. They're generally NMS, either, but my family actually was so excited about it that it was cute. *shrug* Same reason we actually had a wedding and I didn't insist on the courthouse. I don't care either way, and I think it's sweet that our family wants to celebrate together.

I also really hate the siggy contest this month and I can't stand seeing most of the pictures people used because they're so gross.

I am also not a fan of this moths siggy challenge because it continually confuses me. I keep thinking all these ladies already have multiple kids and then I realize there's something wrong with the picture. :\">

  • I thought of a UO the other day, but it wasn't the appropriate day so I waited and now I've forgotten.

For now I will say my UO is TV in a LO's bedroom.

    Too soon? oh well.

I don't like the words preggo or preggers

How do you feel about pregly?

To expand on this, how about pregly wegly? Or pregorific?

My son and I eat cookies and milk together while watching the ball drop. We dedicate the day to games and movies. It is now one of my favorite days of the year.....before this tradition came along, I didn't care about it at all!

  • My husband and I have a whole week to ourselves at a beach house over Christmas and I don't feel bad about not making the effort to visit family.

  • @mamacheez - Eww "ripe". Gross.

  • I agree that sick people should stay home HOWEVER I have the misfortune of working a retail job and it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to call in without threatening your job. In my opinion more companies should have this mentality. Everytime I'm sick and try to come in my boss gives me obvious advice in how to feel "better" and expects me to come in anyway.
