@bluebird2318 How do you sell baby clothes? I feel like they wouldn't be worth very much...
I just joined a local mom-to-mom resale group on Facebook. It's not that each outfit is worth a ton, but they just have so many clothes that it adds up. I think the most I've ever gotten for one outfit is $12. I typically ask for $3-$5 on average, with onesies being cheaper ($1-$2) and some of the nicer dresses being more like $8-$10. She just has SO. MUCH. STUFF. I donated her preemie clothes to the NICU that cared for her and the rest I've just been picking away at for sales.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
So I was back on Giant Foods to read comments and creep on people... And I see @ashleypixie and I click and I'm like "WTF, she is super gorgeous-that bitch." And then a friend request pops up and I thought "HOLY SHIT the internet knows I'm creeping and told her!"
Who long will milk stay frozen with the power out? We haven't opened the freezer. At least til morning, right? It's a freezer drawer beneath the French door fridge.
I'll send DH out on a dry ice run if we don't have power back by morning.
If your freezer is full you should be okay til morning, don't open it.
It super depresses me that my mom says that Merriwether looks nothing like me. Boo.
Vacation with PPD blows.
I never get why people say this, it just makes people feel shitty. Babies looks can change so much as they get older. Plus as Merri develops her personality there will probably be loads of similarities there too! Hugs, lady, you're both gorgeous!
And A is freaking out now. He went to sleep in like 2 mins before without any help or crying and now is is crying no matter what I do.
I wonder if the lightning strike gave him a headache? I was only near them twice, but when transformers within a block blew I almost instantly had horrific migraines. They're the only migraines I've had in my life that were bad enough to make me puke. I don't know why, or if a nearby lightning strike would do the same. I'd imagine it could, being so much more powerful. =/

Catching up. Can I just say re: the horrible FF employee, I am so freaking proud to be an A14 mom! You ladies rock my socks.
@macgrs I have the same complaint! I've been hijacking all the "boys" superhero stuff! You know, Batman = Batgirl etc. Have an overpriced etsy shop I can patronize?
You guys are awesome. What that store employee said was friggin' outrageous.
I had to defend my formula use at LO's pedi appointment yesterday. Our usual pedi was out, so it was a different Dr. He was kind of a nut, I think.
He was all, "Any reason why you are not exclusively breastfeeding? Studies have shown breast is best blah blah blah. You really need to BF. Also Formula is terrible in coffee, I tried it once."
I was all "My child's appetite outstrips what I can give her, and also I have to work for a living."
Then he backed down. I think I stood up for myself pretty well, seeing that I didn't expect to be attacked, but I still thought of about a dozen better comebacks after I left the appointment. Grrrr...
DS fell asleep immediately after his bath. DH took him to bed and passed out too while I showered. Since DS didn't eat, I pumped. Considering sleeping on the couch so I don't disturb them, but of course I'm wide awake.... @-) DS will wake up as soon as I'm tired/falling asleep. He has a radar for that sort of thing.

I love excel. When I was an engineer and work was slow, I created spreadsheets to do design work. I had one that designed retaining walls, including the rebar placement. Another designed footings.
Were you a structural engineer? Did you work at an architecture firm?
My degree is in civil engineering. I worked at civil engineering firm in their transportation division doing transportation structures. So bridges, culverts, retaining walls, noise walls, stuff like that. I did a lot of work on the new construction along I-95 around Baltimore (well, my portion of the project has been done for a while, but there's still lots going on right now in the area).
This might be dumb but I'm a paranoid mom. DS fell asleep early last night at 7:30 (usually goes to bed between 8-9). He woke up at 7:30am and I nursed him. He definitely pooped cause it smelled really bad...like really bad. I was going to change him after he nursed but he fell back asleep and has been sleeping ever since...it's 9am right now! Should I just let him sleep and change him when he wakes up?? I'm scared because his poop has never smelled like that and I feel bad that he's been sleeping in it...

I would change the poop one.
Agreed. Poop + pee = ammonia which burns skin. I wouldn't wake to change a wet one, but I'd risk waking if poop was involved every time.

I change my little dude after a bottle regardless of whether he just fell out; if he's that sleepy he'll go back to sleep momentarily. I realize this makes me kind of a spoiled mom in the sleepy kid dept.

I may be a horrible mom but I've let her nap in a poop diaper. I just can't make myself wake a sleeping baby and if it's not bothering her I'm not gonna let it bother me. Mom of the year right here
Dani, I feel the same way. Especially when they get catty with each other over it. These women are damn fools over a guy they probably wouldn't be into without the completion factor involved.
Speaking of the bachelor, I had a friend who was on the bachelorette. He made it to the end because she liked HIM, but he wasn't into her at all. He ended up just telling her after the home visit, but it was really all about the entertainment aspect of the show. The producers even set his parents house up with furniture and all but scripted the entire thing.

Update: I ended up waking him up to change it...he was pretty much awake when I went in there anyways. Poop looked normal, there was just A LOT of it! Dressed him in cute white raccoon onesie. EXPLODES through his diaper all down his leg!!
RIP cute white raccoon onesie

Just saw a commercial for Elf on a Shelf. Nobody better buy Liam one of those. Damn thing is freakin' creepy!!!
I saw a book at Target a couple of months ago about Elf on a Shelf and birthdays. So now you have an elf moving around your house 2+ times a year depending on how many kids you have in your household.
