Does anyone else's baby HATE the car seat? I thought he would get past this, but he still screams bloody murder whenever we go somewhere. It makes even running to Target so stressful!

I feel so bad not being able to soothe him, but I can't be stopping the car every few minutes! Ugh!

I'm a skinny baby mom, and for a while I did feel bad that my LO wasn't chubby. I'm over it now. Besides, without the skinny babies to compare to, there would be no chubby ones!

I posted a picture of my tall, skinny baby and he got move love tits than the chubby ones. 30th percentile is cute, too!

As a skinny baby mom I don't feel bad at all. 20th percentile and super cute! I just wish more people realized not all babies are chubby. I'm getting tired of explaining that she isn't a newborn and she also wasn't born super early.

So, the other night was DDs first cheer practice and there was a mom with a baby about the same age! I got excited about my future mom friend, but when I tried to make conversation she was having NONE of it. So we just sat awkwardly next to each other while she side-eyed me. I'm never going to have RL mom friends

DD1 was born super big but lost all of her weight and ended up a less than 20% baby. At 2years old she is 10%. This baby I do nothing special with at all and she was and still is a 98% baby. I think the things we were told to do to help DD1 actually hurt her in the long run.

@purespark At first it was on my right side and hurt most when I lifted my leg. So I initially freaked out thinking it was my appendix. Now it's just across my entire lower abdomen but no fever. I otherwise feel fine.

I'm going into the city Saturday for the Big Latch On - anyone else participating?

I'm more excited to swing by the thrift stores and pick up a high chair and a bouncer and such, though.  I think DS will love it and it may give me a break.

I'm participating in the big latch on! It's before work and just down the street. In pretty excited.

DH just made blueberry pancakes. He used my pancake recipe and added fresh blueberries from the farmers market last night. They were gone in under a minute. Yum.

We're about to get ready for Harley's doctor appointment. It's going to be a fun day. Also, I've been up since 630.

As a cheer coach I can quickly explain-cheer moms are crazy.

Penny is currently having a two hour nap! So I had a chance to read some RTT. How is everyone handling the heat?! Penny and I ended up in the basement after trying to get her down for close to two hours last night. Finally we went down there at 11:00 and she passed out on the boob in the cool air. No AC blows! I might take her to the spray park when she wakes up

So I just googled Big Latch On locations in my area. The only one nearby is at a store for breastfeeding supplies/mommy stuff. If the point is to increase awareness of BFing moms and normalize BFing, doesn't it seem unnecessary to do it a business that already does those things?

Thanks for the response @mom2boxers.  I do think he is getting hot, because I often find him a sweaty mess when we get to our destination despite blasting the AC.  I think he just works himself up so much that he sweats profusely! 

That's a good call on making the switch to a convertible carseat, we might just have to try that.  We will have to switch eventually anyways, so what do we have to lose?

Do EBF babies start having different color/ consistency BMs around this time? The solid bits in B's last diaper are a little darker - light/med brown compared to the rest of the yellow. She's not acting fussy or anything Normal? Call ped?

I go back to work in 10 days. DD is not a great napper, so I was planning to spend this week working on that.

Nope! Instead I've spent the week cuddling with her during naps. I figure she'll eventually get things worked out sleep wise, but I won't be able to get our snuggle time back.

Our big latch on is at the county office of education. Which is usually where the local birth network meets.

There are two events here.  One is in a rented room in a community center.  The other is tomorrow morning at 10:30 in a local park.  I would attend that one if I didn't have to work.  (BOO.)

Our big latch on is at the BCEC I believe. There's a mommy convention going on there, I don't like that one because everyone is just going to be around other moms so what's the point? Plus who knows if it will make any FF mommas upset for a personal reason . I would feel bad if my BFing made anyone else feel guilty .

This is a good point.  As much as I am pro breastfeeding, some women simply can't do it and I would hate to make them feel bad because their bodies just don't produce milk.  I also wouldn't want to make a Mom feel bad for choosing formula for some reason.

Overall, I just think that the public has way too much say in how we feed our babies.  Breastfeed in public and you are making people feel uncomfortable.  Formula feed, and you're a bad mom for depriving your baby of breast milk.
