@swerbtastic3351‌ every time I got him out of his crib and rocked a bit, he would fall asleep so I would lay him in his crib and eyes would pop open. He wasn't horribly fussy, but the poor kid seemed so tired!

I've posted a couple of times today, hoping the conversation would help.

Anxiety is kicking my ass today. Merriwether is three months today and I was so excited to celebrate it.

She's been awfully hard. She's napping, but wakes up crying like I spliced her with a knife. 

Last night's sleep was rough..she would only sleep on me. For an hour. 

My work is insanely busy. I'm writing from 9-midnight and 4-7 am because those are the only times when she's not sucking the energy out of me. I had an interview today and he was the first dick interviewee to be pissed that I had to change a blow out during the call. 

I ran today but I feel like I just want to run away from it all. I'm getting more and more overwhelmed that this is my life FOREVER. I love Merriwether to death but the forever bit is freaking me out and overwhelming me. 

I'm just feeling totally defeated. Don't need much...just a place to vent. TIA RTT.

@PoppySeedWindsor‌ you're not alone. Ds is being rough as well and it's taking a toll on me. I still cannot believe this is forever either and it overwhelms me at times. I have no advice, just sympathy.

I keep it locked back at the top of the seat. Family friend was in an accident with her kid's seat's handle left out over her infant and kid hit their head on the handle bar in the accident. =/ May not have been properly buckled in though, since it's a good foot between the middle of the handle and DD's head in ours. >.>

I freak out at the forever part too @PoppySeedWindsor. The thing that helps me the most is remembering that LO won't always be this needy, and that one day I'll be missing these early months when he's older and doesn't need me so much!

I have two addictions in life: cloth diapers and coca-cola. Coca-cola is the only non-crunchy thing in my life. And worse yet i know how bad it is for me! I'm so addicted that my midwife knew to automatically add it to whatever I told her was in my food diary. I am out of coca-cola right now, things may get ugly.

Same here, and I've lurked during said breaks, too. It happens when I don't feel like I have the time to keep up with posting and replies so I don't bother contributing, but I still check in from time to time. (Not the case this past week obviously.)

Ok, not to drag the drama out even longer, but the only time I rememberDani leaving was when she had just had her first baby a week prior and was overwhelmed by breast feeding and thought that she was feeling too low to contribute to the board in any positive way, and took a very small mental health break. Then came back because this was a place that was supportive, not cruel. So totally the opposite as a GBCB. Nobody "boo'd" because she didn't slam anyone when she left. Sorry @dani+california‌ if I'm stepping over the line by speaking for you, but I just don't see the comparison. Not everyone who steps away has to act like a dick. Or I have all of this completely wrong I dunno.

So in college I got invited to this frat outdoor bonfire boozefest overnight camping thing.  Everyone  got absolutely trashed, as was the ritual, and I stumbled back to my date's tent in the dark (really, I was a stupid freshman who knew very few people and went with and slept in the same tent as a guy I'd only spoken with a few times...).  I digress. 

I was in the tent, when outside I heard someone drunkenly batting at the entrance to a neighboring tent.  I poked my head out in time to hear a couple say, "Who's out there??" to the drunk dude trying to open their tent.  He stops what he's doing, beer in hand, and stone facedly replies

I am Batman.

Dead ringer of an impression too.  Then he proceeds to hurl.

Apparently there is butthurtness about a situation that shows that if someone comes back around and is like, "I was a turd.. My bad y'all" it is generally pretty well received. Because, um, the RTT "clique" is vicious and exclusionary.

I need the bump to keep my mental health.  If I didn't have this board to realize that babies poop and pee and sneeze and refuse sleep/pacifiers/swaddling, yadda yadda I'd go insane with worry over every little thing my baby does, and it would just be bad news bears.

In other news, I definitely splurged on a gel nail polish that doesn't need a stupid light, and so far I am in lurve. I realize I have gone a whole day without a chip, which isn't terribly impressive. But! It's so shiny! It advertises two weeks chip free but I will be thrilled with a week. My polish never stays pretty longer than like two days.
