Yes, yogurt is actually good when you're trying to prevent constipation.  The live cultures help to keep you regular.

I am officially a believer in pickles and ice cream. Chocolate ice cream. DH was so impressed that I kept going back for more pickles that he had to try... Not impressed. More for me!

I have been wanting to put pickles on everything. Not so much ice cream, but, I was eating ice cream last week and maybe 20 minutes after finishing, I totally wanted pickles.

@jennypenny1014 I don't know if it was the tornados...they were pretty scary and basically turned that particular area of town into a war zone. Police controlled where you went and when for a while. A lot of people were without power and water for weeks. It was actually a very upsetting time here. Many parents lost their children when a school was hit and families were separated for days. It was one of the worst tornados we've had in this area.

I know I spent a lot of time in the bathtub during. (It's actually the reason I insisted we install a storm shelter in this house. If we had been in the direct path of the storm we wouldn't have survived. Nothing above ground did)

Now a regular old storm I belie could've been it. We get hail a lot around here and it's also one of those times you stay inside, but not as scary.

DS is doing a bit better. We had to resort to a little CIO. Started 2 nights ago and that was the worst night. Last night was much better and he is staying asleep better now. I really don't like doing it since I always feel guilty but he is almost 2 and we tried everything else. Hopefully it keeps going in the right direction. Thanks for asking.

I feel you. Although, I seem to cry at every birth story I read. Its not fear, its just, instant tears. So weird. Big hugs!

Doing all of the above.. Lol
A lot has been going on with my family, my mom and step dad are separating and my grandma is in the hospital while my grandpa isn't able to take care of himself so it's just been a lot and I haven't been feeling ultra social.. Plus add the roller coaster of pregnancy and it's been a little more than I could handle at the time.. Things are getting better.

As far as the Super Bowl foods question- DH and I are going to a Super Bowl Party and I am making a 7 layer Mexican dip....I'm seriously considering making 2 and keeping 1 for myself...I could live on chips and dip alone...

Where ya been?

Pricing out venues for my kids' birthday party today. Some places are ridiculous. For nearly $300 I would expect more than 1hr 15 min of time. And I'd have to supply all the food. I'm gonna go into the birthday party business.

My SIL just got hired in L&D where we are set to deliver. She has some idea that she's going to be my nurse because "she doesn't have any issues with it". Ummmmmmm I DO!! No way in hell will I let my family check my cervix, watch a baby come out my vag, check my pad afterward and be all intrusive in our time with baby. I know she thinks she's going to have easy access to the baby and has made comments like "I'm going to be the first to hold the baby." Again no..... That's my job then DH then the grandparents. She is driving me absolutely insane. I've already talked to my doc she said just tell our nurses and she won't be allowed into our room unless she is off the clock, but she is driving me crazy. I've also got people asking me why I can't keep the baby in. My grandma asked if I wasn't making a nice home for him. Seriously people... Like I want to have a baby at 30 weeks and a long ass NICU stay. People suck today.

Mamamonzo, that is straight up awful.  I would hate that also!  Are you kidding!??  You deserve some cake.  I am sorry people don't understand boundaries.  The last thing you need is that kind of stress.  Ugh.

People just flat out piss me off today...

1 - A fellow teacher, who apparently can recognize me by my shoes, decided to tell me while I was in the bathroom stall that I "DEFINITELY" look pregnant today.  All I wanted to say was "Gee thanks, I appreciate you telling me that I look huge today!"  This is also the same woman who when she found out I was pregnant approached me and said, "I heard you are knocked up... I can get you the phone number of a person who can take care of that for you."  Damn bitch, she is lucky that I the stall was blocking me from punching her in the face!

2 - Student who complains that he didn't get his quiz back the next day.  I have 75 students in this prep, each of who turned in 3 documents to me the previous day... do that math thats 225 documents that I have to grade.  Apparently it is not fair that I not get all those things graded when this student has to get his homework done each night.  You're right, homework for 5 classes is the same as grading 225 documents.  This is also from the kid who didn't turn in 2 of the 3!

3 - Student who announces to the class "she's just moody because she's pregnant."  This drives me NUTS!!! No I'm not moody because I'm pregnant, I'm moody because you aren't doing what you need to be doing!  

Sorry, needed to get that out.  This is a day I could really go for a few glasses of wine... chocolate will have to do... At this rate it is going to be a long 10 more weeks!

I live in the Atlanta area and got rear ended on my way home from work yesterday. I'm sure LO is okay but it is frustrating that I can't even get ahold of my dr to let her know I was in an accident since the whole city is basically shut down!
I go in for another ultrasound on Friday anyways, so I'm sure if I did get ahold of someone they would just say to monitor her kicking till then. Fingers crossed she is okay!

We have 4 cats and they all like to sleep with us.  One sleeps by my head, one on top of me, one by DH, and one between us.  We're not bed sharing but we are planning on having the crib in our room so I'm a bit concerned.  I hope our big, warm bed will be more appealing than a small crib with a squirmy, noisy baby in it.  If not, I guess the furbabies will need to sleep in another room.  It makes me sad for them to think about it.

I think LO is going through a growth spurt--I took a three hour nap today, can't seem to stop eating, and every time I roll over it feels like I pulled a muscle in my groin. So much for dishes and laundry getting done!

No luck on the house search today :-( Bummer.
2 of them were way too small (Like only a bed in the master bedroom small)
2 of them would need A LOT of work and it isn't worth it for the $
1 of them had MAJOR foundation issues (Like house very well might sink into the ground shortly)
1 was a townhouse and we just didn't love it enough to deal with the lack of privacy.

Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

@mamamonzo I am praying for you already that your SIL conveniently is not at work and no where near the hospital when you deliver! Jeez! Learn boundaries woman! I am beyond annoyed for you!

@Serenla @thomas930 I've been thinking that newborn onesies are kind if pointless (depending on how big baby is) since the labels say 6-8lb. for NB and 8-12 for 0-3 months. If what you're saying is accurate for my baby, my baby will probably be over 8 pounds at birth. Are there other things to consider when buying NB clothing other than that weight on the label?

@jellysparkles If baby girl is anything like us in that case too, she'll almost be 2 feet long at birth! I was 22". I guess it doesn't matter since we already have a bit of both, but my MIL always wants to buy NB any time we look at baby clothes. I just hate to buy it if she's not even going to be able to wear it. Seems like a waste of money.
