I can't keep up with this thread. Whoever mentioned Chinese food I hate you. All I can think of now is egg rolls and crab Rangoon and fried rice. My husband and I got into a legit argument last time we had takeout because he finished the pork fried rice. I feel like we have this argument every time we get Chinese.
Mmmm...crab rangoon.  Would it be bad for me to have nothing but that for lunch tomorrow?

    Ooo, crab rangoon.

I read an article about Philly cheese steaks at about 2:30 & we had them for dinner because I couldn't stop thinking about them, lol. Such problems.

  • Thanks guys. The police officer I spoke with said I was the 9th reported robbery today. The 32nd this week. I feel a little bit uncomfortable because they have my address from the checks. I wish DH would hurry home.
I sure hope you called the bank to let them know your checkbook was stolen so they can be on alert for EFT transactions and incoming checks! Otherwise these assholes can get full access to your account and/or write a bunch of checks and clean you out!

  • my vote is P.F. Changs to go with egg drop soup, chicken lettuce wraps, crispy honey chicken with broccoli over brown rice and the banana spring rolls for dessert. and if anyone would be willing to come drop some off to me, i will love you forever and make you black forest cookies! :x
This totally makes my spaghetti with homemade meat sauce seem so...so...inferior. Crispy honey chicken is my FAVORITE!!

  • So today I had a conversation with another mom that has a two year old. We were talking about our kids and their biodads. She made the comment that she didn't want to confuse her LO by introducing her son to her husband and the biodad as "dad", which I can understand. Then she made the comment that she thinks it will confuse him and distract him from school..

So now my question is.. Am I totally screwing up DD because she calls both DH and her biodad "dad"?? DH has been around her since she turned a year. She's three now so obviously he's a father figure to her.

I sure did! I have to go down tomorrow to change account numbers. My account is frozen now.

I don't think so. One of my very best friends is very very close to her stepdad and she always called both bio and step dad. She has done it for as long a I can remember! As long as they are in her life and influence her in positive ways I think of it as a positive! She's extra loved! I call one of my friends parents mom and dad and always have and probably always will.

  • J&NL IMO if they are both playing active and positive roles in her life I would not worry. My DD is a lot older but calls her biodad and my SO dad. As your daughter gets older you can explain the difference between the two and let her decide. I never forced my daughter to call SO dad but she is comfortable and trusts him enough to do so on her own.

I think you're ok... Kids are smart. My neice has a "dad" (her stepdad) and "daddy jay" (biodad)... It works for them. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You're doing a great job I'm sure :)

I don't think so but you know your daughter best and if she seems to be fine with it than its proably fine. I grew up with a stepdad, he has been in my life since I was about 5 and I've always referred to him as one of my dads.

  • We use the Costco brand of free and clear
  • I've never forced her to call him dad, she just kind of started. Plus, her biodad only sees her a few times a year. He isn't a bad influence or anything for her but he's also not exactly a parent to her either. DH sees her every single day and has for the past two years. Her biodad is very unreliable and I'm worried he won't be around one day so I want her to still feel like she has a dad. Either way. I wouldn't just let anyone come into our lives and let her call them dad unless I knew they were worth it and DH is more than perfect for the job.

  • I had a terrible dream DH and I split. It was so sad and I woke up sad. I hate that! Stupid dreams. Its probably because I wanted to sleep and he was keeping me awake.

  • Ok here is my crazy person confession of the day. Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous and I acknowledge that before I even type it.
Everyone keeps saying things like "you can't even tell you are pregnant!" "Your belly is so small!" And other assorted things. I've gained weight for sure but it's low and looks like I ate a ton... More of a pooch than a baby. And after hearing this for a week my mind keeps going "is the baby not growing? Is the baby ok in there? What if something is wrong?" I have zero signs of anything being wrong, but I can't help it. I feel like I'm insane for thinking something is wrong because I'm not huge and pregnant looking.

Ok rant over. I feel even more crazy typing it out now. These hormones are a bitch.
