Other random pregnancy thing: does anyone ever feel like their belly is vibrating? DH could feel it last night and today it feels like it's vibrating again (on top of feeling movement inside my body). Pregnancy is weird.

This happens to me all the time. I can even watch it.
There's nothing I hate more than grocery shopping on my budget during the time when everyone's EBT cards are reloaded. The jealousy is so real when I'm in line with a few things and the chick front of me has a cart full. I just wanna meet her in the parking lot and mug her for her groceries...... BUUUT then I realize how unhealthy all the stuff in her cart is and I go home
I've missed so much while deep cleaning things today. The house has officially been un-Christmas'd too. Earliest I've ever done it, feels weird.
Jealous. I so don't want to take down Christmas decorations because it is too much work. And my house has minimal regular decorations so it looks boring.

My mom has expressed interest in throwing me a shower, but I guess she wanted it to be a surprise. Fair enough. Is it rude of me to ask that she host it at my house? She lives in a condo that no joke couldn't seat more than 10 people comfortably, that's on her couch and at her 4 person table.
I don't want to offend her and I don't know if that's even something I should expect to dictate, but I reeeeeally don't want people to be standing awkwardly and be uncomfortable for the time they're there. I don't think she'd rent a hall /room either because options where I live are limited and expensive.
Advice appreciated!
Offer up your place nicely. Something like "hey mom do you wanna host the shower at my place for more space?" You never know, maybe she's got a plan for it to be somewhere spacious as a surprise.
Shower etiquette question:

I'd ask and not mention the space. Many of my friends have had theirs at home just for the ease of not having to lug a bunch of gifts home afterwards. You can always site convenienceas a reason.

You guys, I might die on this ride home tonight for reals. I effing hate the snow and that I had to work till 5 and drive home when the storm starts hitting me. Thank god DH is driving. I am concentrating on my phone and trying not to look up or over out any windows.
Winter driving sucks! I used to be pretty good at it but it only took one accident to drop my confidence. Unfortunately, my H is even more nervous driving in snow than I am...not a good combo for living in MN. Make it home safely and enjoy some hot chocolate!

Does anyone else notice their heart racing every once and awhile? I'm sure it's just normal pregnancy stuff since I'm pumping extra blood to the baby right now, but holy shit did it feel like my heart was going to jump out of my chest a few moments ago.
I started breathing slowly and it slowed down, but freaked me out a little.
Happens to me too and I feel sick when it's racing. Really freaked me out because my SIL had preclampsia so badly they had to induce her early....so, not that I want any of the rest of you to be freaked out or suffering - but I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
24 weeks pregnant and getting bitch-slapped by nesting when I have to be watching my 18 month old all day is no joke. (More like 15.5 month old since she was 2.5 months early.) My poor tortured brain. I just want to clean! And nap. What am I going to do with two under 2? HALP!

Just signed up for cloth diapering 101 class this Saturday. I'm a big slacker and didn't start looking into classes until this week and they're all full or starting NOW! Saturday will be my first and this teacher is ridiculously excited to be taking baby classes! Bring on the learnin'!

I never took a real class, but there is a also a good YouTube CD 101 series if you haven't seen it yet. I figure there is so much information on CDing out there, I take it from everywhere I can.
My first day back to work and it feels like someone is squeezing my head there's so much snot and congestion and I feel like hell (
Omg, the sinus pressure! I can't go a day without awful sinus headaches, it's been so rainy and stupid here and that's definitely not helping. And fuck Tylenol, it doesn't help at all.

Thanks @Fireflygirl12! I know there are tons of resources, which is honestly why I'm taking the class. I've done SO MUCH research for this baby already, and thinking of wading through all the blogs, FAQ's, 101's, and conflicting opinions on the internet right now makes my head spin. Especially on this topic, because unlike which stroller to buy, opinions are VEHEMENT. Even just going through the FAQ's on the CD group here was overwhelming. Everyone seems to have an opinion, and they all differ, so I'm going to our local store and just taking their advice to save my sanity. It's a how-to class as well as exploring all the different kinds of diapers, plus I'll get to find out about their diapering service vs. washing myself at home. They carry all the "best brands" that tend to be recommended on all the CD websites, so I think I'll get a pretty comprehensive look. Once I'm done I'll probably feel grounded enough to continue research on my own, but right now it's a matter of info overload making me feel like I don't know where to start.

I agree that all the information is crazy overwhelming. It's going to be sooooo helpful to see a bunch of the diapers yourself. The "big brands" sold in my area are BumGenius, Fuzzibunz and a few from the Grovia line. I ended up ordering 1 of 8 different diapers when we first started so that I could try them out since I couldn't see most of them in-store. There is also a huge b/s/t page on Facebook if you are OK buying used. You can get awesome deals on almost new diapers (especially newborn since some people don't always even use their whole stash).
The only thing I've done today that required some effort was take DD outside to play in the snow until our hands were too cold to play any longer and now, 7 hours later, making chilli for dinner. Once my pillow came in it was game over. I now refer to it as my "nest" and I never want to leave it!
What are people eating tonight? I had a sudden surge of hunger and a meat craving (which happens once in a blue moon). So beef sticks, pickle, crab Rangoon and garlic bread it is!

yes, this has been happening to me frequently. Scary as hell. And uncomfortable!

Me, but if my brain did the math right, I think we may be due too close together.
Wow. So I just read all 257 pages of this epic thread, took me four or five days. This thread is probably the best thing ever.
Also, I'm not really big on intros, but since I've never really posted one, here goes:
DH and I are due sometime around April 11th with our first, a baby girl. We're in NE Wisconsin, getting ready to move closer to DHs work and get the fuck out of my in-laws' house before I go Ed Gein on everyone here. Other than that, I'm not really sure what to say. So hi. >-

I'm still in need of someone, although I am fine if it's a random too... I'm due 4/24 with a girl. I just don't feel like I can pick someone out and be like "I want you!" without feeling weird about it.
