So... when you travel to a city like NYC and you need a cab. How do you travel with a baby? I heard taxis are exempt from car seat laws but that still scares me. An accident can happen at any time! I've heard that there are separate car companies that have installed seats that'll drive you around but the seem spendy and you have to make reservations prior, which doesn't really benefit me if I'm sight-seeing.

Take the bus!
This, or the train! We did bus/train in Chicago in October and it was really easy with A. We didn't use our stroller except the time we took the bus, since getting the stroller up/down to train stations was a bit more difficult.
My grandma is in the icu. She had a massive stroke this weekend and my mom just made the decision to not continue life support. I'm here in the waiting surrounded by crying people holding a sleeping lo.
The room next to her has a 16 year old boy whose parents they just told isn't going to make it. The chaplain is in there.
Well it finally happened, my anxiety got out of control again and my normal coping mechanisms didn't work. I went to the doctor today and I got a prescription for Zoloft, and I'm calling a therapist today to make an appointment in the new year. I feel some relief that I got help and it's going to be okay.
So sorry that you are going through such hard times right now, @allyandmike24 and @lokimau.
@Shelbysteffens good for you for taking care of yourself! Recognizing things are working and actually getting help is one of the hardest things to do. So much respect for you!

Thank you everyone! The anxiety issue runs in my family, now in life I just can't manage with it as well as I used to, hopefully this helps get me back to my happy medium.
I had some left over eye drops from her last flare up that have helped the inflammation, we will be ordering sunglasses after her appointment on Friday! Hers her this afternoon getting her last bathroom break before the high point of the day
DS has the worst diaper rash he has ever had. He has been pooping almost constantly for 3-4 days. He just had a tooth break through so in pretty such it's all teething related since he is in good spirits. But his rash looks so painful and he screams when we try to wipe. Any suggestions? I've tried grandma el's and desitin. Tonight we are trying A+D to see if that helps.

Had our first baby, Samuel Robert, on April 17, 2014!
My post showed up as a double post and now the first post disappeared.
So, @hordol this is what we did for terrible diaper rash. DS still has sores from it (rash started last week), but it's getting better. @celticlullaby was very helpful last week when this happened, she gave me most of this advice.
-a&d treat not the regular stuff, or you could do triple paste -hydrocortisone cream for any sores per my pedi -let the butt air out two or three times a day. This helped us the most. -probiotics in 2 bottles per day to help with the tummy -baking soda in the bath to soothe the butt -wash in the sink or bath after each poop so you don't have to scrub his butt. This still hurt DS, but it was less painful then wiping.
Congrats! Even though it's a crap retail job you probably get a sweet discount, and you will feel better about making money/being useful outside of the house!
Thanks so much for the rash tips!! I almost want to take the day off work tomorrow so I can let DS air out his butt at home since the daycare lady would not be a fan, but unfortunately tomorrow is my busiest day at work in a long time. But his butt is so, so bad. It makes me want to cry looking at it. He has the a and d treat on it right now. I wish I would have thought to maybe let him air it out overnight before we put him to bed! Don't really want to wake him up. Although it's guaranteed he will shart at some point overnight so maybe I wouldn't want to let him air it out anyway...ha. But if it's still bad tomorrow I will do that.

We are preparing for the storm of the decade (so they tell me). They have also promised me 2-3feet of snow in SNP and Yosemite over night...
I am jealous. I would like snow pls.
I'm at 300ft above sea level, I won't get to see the snow unless I drive up. The rain we need. I need to turn the dripper off to my trees tonight, I think winter has finally arrived in Cali!

What happened to her eyes? ( or pg number, I missed it)

Hope she's comfortable.
She has pannus, about twice a year she has flare ups, this time it was a little worse, it looks like she will probably have to have two check ups a year for her eyes, and probably a daily medication for them.
@RedDawnsRevenge the newspaper here is reporting possible 7 foot waves on Tahoe. That's just crazy! I'm not sure we will see any snow at my house, we're at around 5000ft, but we are supposed to get lots of strong wind

We have had the strong wind advisory warnings issued here too. But I'm glad I'm not in Santa Cruz...100mph is no joke.

Oh bummer! That's common in German Shepards so something I have to watch out for...
