They said since I've never had one they don't want to risk a reaction. And apparently the midwife and hematologist have never done a transfusion on a pregnant lady unless she was sick (leukemia, for example) or after a trauma.

Since all my levels are "normal" expect my iron... They don't want to risk it until I've tried several weeks of iron. If it drops then they might consider it, but if I maintain or rise they'll wait it out.

I'll get to deliver with several units of blood sitting by my bed, ready to go, since I can't handle dropping more.

As a baker that puts a lot of effort into the stuff I make, I'd prefer someone tells me if they don't eat home baked goods. I understand people have their "things" and it won't offend me. I'd prefer they tell me that they're going to chuck it, so I can eat it instead.

People don't usually tell me ahead of time they are making stuff. If so, I would. Just don't assume people want to receive baked goods unless it is family and you know this about them. Ask. Even then people might not tell you the truth. I would.

I don't generally make things for random people. My neighbors hint around the holidays about cookies, so I know they aren't chucking it. I was recently in a treat exchange and I straight up asked if the person was opposed to homemade stuff.
