@MrsEll I understand the comment about my tone of condescension and when we talk I have the same tone. She contradicts herself constantly and refuses to acknowledge it
@cate1234 & @mbenit4 you are absolutely correct. When she talks about what she does she almost always negates it with something religious, rather than a complementary belief. I was attempting to illustrate how frustrating it is to have theological conversations with her because of how she flip flops. #obviousfail
ETA: my spacing got swallowed
I may lose a friend after bumping my coming out as an atheist note I wrote last year on FB yesterday. I guess if they can't see I am still the friend they've known for 18 years and not some godless heathen, then they can suck a cheesy dick.
Seriously Missy! I wanted to punch some of the people on your FB post. @missyishere

She might feel judged and feel the need to explain or comment. Not defending her at all, just trying to see the other side.
I appreciate it! We are 6 years different so I tend to discount her sometimes. It always helps to take a step back and empathize rather than criticize.
My confession: I am jealous of my childless friends and at times miss my "old life"
backstory: I was in an abusive relationship and ended up pregnant after a night of too much alcohol and "oh one time won't hurt" I've done the whole thing by myself and sometimes it just gets to me when I see all my friends just going out on a whim or taking a trip to the beach after a day of planning. Of course, I wouldn't change anything because he really is the best thing that's ever happened to me. But being mommy and daddy since day one, every once in awhile, just wears me down and I find myself very envious of my old life.
Maneeek's confession was not cool at all. That shit had my blood boiling.
Confessing that you wear the same panties multiple days in a row - funny. Confessing really shitty stuff that people are passionate about and give a shit about - not funny at all.
I agree. I don't get the point of blatantly awful (supposedly) fake confessions.
I am so confused about why a friendship would end over being an atheist. So confused. My friends and I literally never talk about religion. I don't have any super religious friends, but I do have friends that believe in god and go to church. And we have literally never had a conversation where me being an atheist and her believing in a god would be a problem. Am I just in a weird corner of the world?
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:
Sometimes I comment on things just to see my siggy.
I always read your comments and the Charlie Hunnam comments because of the siggy's. A lot of others get "skimmed" or completely overlooked because of the lack of siggy hotness...like my own
@justAphase Thanks. Yeah I am still young and at a time when my friends are just now starting to get engaged. My son's father has met him a few times but has a new girlfriend now and is pretending he doesn't exist. It's just as well though, he wouldn't be a good influence at all. Hugs.
@darbie914 yeah it's the spontaneity that I miss. A lot has to do with just adjusting to this new life I suppose. He is only 12 weeks old so it's still a very big adjustment. Thank you for saying that though.
I've never baked a turkey. We've found 3 damn mice in our laundry/pantry room. They are only on the floor so no problem eating our food but still. We've killed them by using those extremely sticky pads. I put the first one in a Walmart bag then smashed itvwurhba shovel. Then hub killed the second, I got the third by putting it in a cup and slamming in into the ground. I couldn't just poisen then and let them suffer. My ways sound horrible but it was instant. I wanted to just throw them in the trash but they'd just stave to death. I still feel bad but one mouse is left and I'll kill it too if I catch it
Holy Shit. You've got some serious balls, woman! I don't think I could handle that shit.
I feel sorry for my DD's boyfriend. This is her first boyfriend and she does like him, but not nearly as much as he likes her. He is really sweet and I think she is going to break his heart in the end.

I wish it were that simple, but I do appreciate the conversation sometimes. If they ask questions, that means they are taking the time to learn about someone else's beliefs. Although it can be frustrating knowing I could lose a friend over it, I don't mind it being brought up sometimes. I would love to learn more about all religions, and I think it does everyone good to do the same.

I'm really, really excited to go to Iowa. But I'm having major anxiety about it. DD is very attached to me and barely tolerates her father right now. She's in a "I don't like Daddy" phase. She won't hug him, kiss him or even talk to him. I have no idea what's going to happen after I leave here next Friday. I'm scared she's going to tantrum for two days and H is going to send me aggravated texts all weekend.
But despite my fear, I have ZERO desire to cancel the trip. I want to meet you all so badly and I need a weekend away. I keep telling myself that maybe this will be good for them. They can work out their differences and be better pals for it. And if not, I'll be 100s of miles away and be unable to do anything. He'll have to deal and it's only two days right?
@MrsSkull1107 maybe a weekend alone with daddy will work in your favor. Once she gets over the initial tantrum(s) it may click for her that daddy can take care of her needs just as well as mommy. Look at it as daddy/daughter bonding time.

I missed the fake confession/uo/whatever but isn't that maneek's deal? She does that every single week, right?
If she wants that to be her schtick then she could at least have the decency to stick with confessions that people don't care about. I really don't think her confession was a joke at all, to be honest. Either way, I think she's a shit person, especially because she is taking the "sorrynotsorry" approach.

Impressive... Name calling
Oh come on. You dropped a shitty confession and then watched as people got angry and tried to play it off as a joke. You haven't addressed any of this and are just calling us out for "beating a dead horse".
I am not upset with @Manneek1977 cause in my mind she is at Target parked in the first handicap spot shopping and bumping in her drawers from yesterday.
I still wish I had a sibling. I feel silly for still hating being an only child.
I technically have a sibling, but he's a useless, terrible person and I haven't spoken to him in 5 years. I've always wished I had a reliable sibling that I could be close to, and confide in and be friends with. I literally have no good memories of me and my brother. It makes me especially sad that when my parents eventually pass, I'll be left to deal with it by myself. It scares me actually. Sorry I'm rambling now.

I haven't washed my hair in a week. I could still go out in public and no one would know.
I hope to haven't answered this already, but I have not read the whole thread yet. Do you do baking soda and acv? I have not washed my hair with shampoo for two weeks and my hair is transitioning...I hope it won't seem so oily soon. How long did it take for you to get to the point where you could go 4 or 5 days without a wash?
I don't use products, mostly Bc I'm cheap. I've been washing every other mostly all my life. I started stretching it to every 3rd day about 5 years ago. When I decided to SAH after Ds, I realized I could go 4-5 days with washing! I notice the longer my hair, the easier it is to let go unwashed for some reason. But my friend uses a dry shampoo and she looks great with going 4-5 days in between washings...

I don't post much on my BMB anymore. I think the vibe here is more my style. I learned a lot from the ladies there, but I enjoy the funny and diverse topics we talk about here.
This. I don't post a ton but I do give tons I love tits. :x
At least once a week when DH is working late, I take my pants off and practice twerking in our bedroom.
Like, I turn away from the mirror and look over my shoulder at my ass and try to twerk. I usually have the music blasting and it's so embarassing that I think I would faint if someone caught me "practicing." I won't even let our dog watch.
FTR, I cannot twerk. Yet.

@riversong82 our bmb blew up this week! I'm pretty much over it but I do like a few ladies there. But there's a lot of people who need to calm their tits on a regular basis.
I saw that. I definitely didn't want to get involved in the religion talk there.
I do like some of the women there for sure and learned a lot. I just feel like I fit in better here.
OMG @Darbie914 I'm laughing so hard! That's hilarious!

In general, I don't like using the bathroom at work, as it's one of those public bathrooms that women in the whole building can use. It seems every time I go in, there are at least 2 people in there and at times, you can tell that someone is trying to 'wait out' the other person so they can finish doing whatever they gotta do.
Yesterday I really, really had to poop (sorry TMI). I go in and just my luck, there are two occupied stalls. The 3 of us had this weird, unspoken 'waiting it out' showdown. Like, there wasn't the rustle of TP, the trickling of tinkle, nothing. It went on for about 5 minutes.
I won.
LOL this is cracking me up. Also I'm glad you "won".
I refused to use the upstairs bathroom yesterday at work. I was not flushing that morning and although maintenance "fixed" it.... I knew the minute I went in there I would not flush and I would have to call someone. OH and DIE of embarrassment!
I just dropped DS off with our nanny for the rest of the day. He normally doesn't go on Fridays but I told DH and the nanny I have meetings. I have one conference call. Then I plan to get my eyebrows done and a pedicure. I feel 0 guilt.
DS's first tooth poked through right at 5 months and I'm still pissed about it.
(Not a confession, just commenting on teething talk)
Dd had 6 teeth by 7 mos and I was like that's some bullshit! She's a nurser and a biter. Feel all your sorries for my nips. Does your LO bite @lexilupin?
Not a biter yet, @Laurelbee. He's just going through that sort of distracted phase while nursing though where he pulls away without letting go, which is starting to make me just a little nervous as those teeth come up...
ugh. Dd does that too! And she'll coyly look at me while doing. Lil brat

@Darbie914 I regularly have bathroom showdowns. Awkward! I also try and time it so that when I leave a stall, I can wash my hands and get out of there before anyone else comes out. I hate encountering people in the bathroom!
