It's ok. I'm in the minority with my group of friends too, we can still be friends I mean we both like comics!
I dislike macs very much, I also dislike some of the more pretentious users riding their high horse around. Not everyone is like that obviously but I love to tear down the people who are
I love being able to fixed my own computer and not have to send it away for the smallest problem...though I hardly every have any problems with my PC's.

@serenla - WHAT?! I thought the source of my awesomeness was in my Mac? Hahaha, yes, I totally know people who are like that with Apple products - super annoying. Which is why I give this look before saying I prefer a Mac - #:-S Just use which one you prefer! Macs and PCs are made for different kinds of users anyway - I work in digital advertising, so I've only ever used a Mac for work, because it's better for those digital developer nerd co-workers of mine
My UO, I hate dunkin' donuts coffee, it tastes like plastic to me.
That's a good one, and I agree! I'm so spoiled because there is a local coffee shop that has a tiny to-go / drive-thru shack right by our house -- beats the pants off DD, Sbux, or McDs!

I am also a huge mac fan, with no real pretensions about it. MAC is kind to educators, so all my school equipment is MAC, and I got a lovely discount when I bought myself a MAC. When I used to have a PC, transferring things between my work and home computer was a nightmare. Everything is so easy now, I can use the same plugs for everything. Life is just easier to have all of one type.
DH has a very nice PC that is lovely and super lightweight. I personally like mine better, but I'm also not lugging it everywhere.

I don't like football one bit. I don't like watching it and I think it's dangerous. My kids will never play it. I'll take professional soccer with the rest of the world all day long.
I don't like when people take naked pictures of babies. A picture is just as cute when they have clothes on. Or when they put pictures of children in the bath on the internet and don't cover them up.
Aw there is nothing cuter than a baby butt.
Baby feet
Hmmm, depends on the baby. DD was long and skinny and her feet looked like a kangaroo's.Not so cute.

I am 29 years old and JUST found a kind of beer I like this year - stouts. And that's it, I don't like any others. But the coffee and wine thing...
It bugs me when peoples kids are overly "plugged in." For example, I was tending my SIL's kids and they kept asking to use my phone, play, my computer, watch tv etc. When my kids, around the same age, ask them to play barbies or little critters, it's like they don't have the imagination to do so.
I hate capri pants. They really don't flatter anyone. And don't even try to bring Audrey Hepburn into this because A.) You are not Audrey and B.) Those are cigarette pants she wears, not the same thing.
@spasticfantastic I'm not sure we can be friends anymore. I love beer (I really just appreciate the craft of brewing and love to try new beers) and wine (ahhh I miss wine!) and I only really do flavored coffee or regular coffee with flavored creamer. I try to cut the coffee taste as much as possible My mind is blown that you don't like annnyyyyy of those things!! haha.
UO: I brought this up yesterday in the FWP thread but I hate how disorganized this board is. I'm going to put together a post later today trying to explain why it would be beneficial to everyone to be organized and I know I'm going to get flamed so hard by all of these 1x posters that refuse to lurk or search their question before posting but I'm prepared. May 2014 already has a blog and the only thing on it is basically board etiquette and it is a sticky for them. How can they be more organized than us ALREADY!?!?!

This UO thread is pretty tame...so I'm going there.
How I Met Your Mother is not funny.
The Big Bang Theory is not funny. At all. Ever.
*runs away*
AHH!! HIMYM is amazing, take it back! Haha. I also like Big Bang Theory but I tend to only watch re-runs and not stay caught up on new episodes. You guys are throwing out some very UO today.

I have a big problem with people who assume their kids/babies are invited to weddings. Most weddings in CA are child free, and I've seen friends of mine not just bring their kids, but get upset that there wasn't 'kids stuff' for them to do, and get more upset when they had to share their dinner with their kids. If they're not listed on the invitation, at least have the courtesy to check with the bride/groom and see if they should be left at home.

This! I went to a 1st communion back in May and the people in front of me had a 4 year old that was on an iPad throughout the entire mass. I understand that the child is young and probably doesn't have the best attention span, but this just seemed a little inappropriate.
Also, I think How I Met Your Mother and The Office are hilarious. However I do not think The Big Bang Theory is funny at all.....

100 x yes!!! We had a couple refuse to come to our wedding because their child wasn't invited. (No kids were.) Fine by me, save me the expense. The point is-I'm footing the bill, it's our wedding...and thus not your choice.
Same goes for people who assume they get a +1. If that's not on your invite, then don't ADD a name and send it back! Haha brutal.
I hate it when people get their panties in a bunch over wedding etiquette. My mom shit bricks when she realized we were not having party favors. Oh no, I'm providing food, an open bar, and cake but not having favors is scandalous.

I was actually disappointed that more kids didnt come to our wedding. We got maracas, kazoos, and other trinkets for them. We had a very fun backyard wedding, so I'm sure that some settings would not be kid-friendly.

Ok, my UO is something similar to what I've posted before, but, I modified it. I think reality TV is less detrimental to society than 24 hour news networks.
I guess it's cultural, weddings are celebrations with your loved ones and if your loved ones have children, well, they're obviously included.
I never cared about crying/running around/fussing that kids do and my wedding was no exception.
I'm not sure that I've ever actually been to a wedding that didn't allow children. If it was a family wedding then I would want to bring DS because everybody would be asking about him. We've gone to several friends' weddings without DS and it was nice to have a few hours to ourselves and not worry about him. Little kids don't enjoy weddings anyways, so I think it's best to leave them at home when possible.
My UO is that I hate being on the West Coast because I get behind on Bumping. Nothing exciting ever happens at night when all the East Coasters are sleeping, but I usually wake up to a 10-page thread that I have to spend all morning reading to catch up on. Part of the problem is also that I work from home, and since DS usually sleeps until 9 or 10, I don't roll my lazy ass out of bed until 9 or so.

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with kids at weddings. What I have a problem with is people bringing kids when the bride and groom Wanted an adults only wedding. But for me, that just goes back to courtesy. I wouldn't add a person's name to an invitation, nor assume that I can have a plus one unless it says I can have one. But if the bride and groom want kids, or want everyone to bring a date, fine by me. The UO goes back to sticking to what the bride and groom want, and in my experience well-meaning people who can't imagine that their children really weren't invited are the more common than the extraneous plus one.

Oooh, another UO I have has to do with the swimming pools here. Here it is required to take a shower without your bathing suit on, before entering the pool. They have attendants making sure people do this because they try to keep the chlorine levels as low as possible. I get so embarrassed when tourists (sorry to say, usually Americans) freak out over this policy. One lady had a screaming fit at one of the attendant ladies saying she was forcing her child to basically watch pornography and that Icelanders were a sick and twisted people. Seriously, its a bunch of women and maybe a few baby boys washing their bodies. Get over it or don't go to the pools here!
