2 more days to go. I'm not feeling very optimistic, though. I'd assume by now if I'm pregnant, my Wondfo strips would start displaying a second line. Not the case. Plus I'm having some very familiar cramping today. I do have an EPT ready for Thursday, but it's not looking good. : (

No no no, @LeFemmeViolette... FX those tests start to change!!!

For anyone who is freaking out about sperm numbers (myself included), I remember a girl on our February IUI thread who became pregnant with 6 million sperm post wash.  It was her first IUI.  Hoping everything is okay with you @MorganL925, would love an update!!

@wifeinraleigh28 - Thanks for sharing an IUI success story.  I've yet to see one on the board since I've been purposely looking the last month or so.  It's hard to keep hope when the success rates are so low!  Some days I just wish we could've gone straight to IVF where you've at least got over 50% success rates per cycle.

@freudianmamma - I saw those yesterday! So hilarious!

AFM - I'm STILL uncomfortable 5dpIUI.  I actually went to urgent care yesterday evening because I was in tears from the pain.  Today is better.  I'm just 'uncomfortable' but not in active pain constantly - just every now & then I'll get a shooting pain.  They ran a CBC to make sure I didn't have an infection (I didn't) and a blood pregnancy test (negative) to confirm I didn't have an ectopic pregnancy from last month that just didn't show up when I POAS last month.  Been waiting all afternoon for the RE's office to call me back.

@Monica54321 I know, it sucks that successes are so few and far between with IUIs.  I feel like for all my treatment cycles and all the TWW/beta testing threads I've been part of, it's only the IVF and FET girls that report BFPs.  It really makes me want to move on too!  But every time I've gone through it on here, there are a few successes.  And I'm sure we will see some on this thread too.  And ugh, I'm sorry you're still uncomfortable.  I'm glad your testing is coming back okay though.  I'm pretty uncomfortable myself, but probably not like what you're feeling.  Hang in there!

@omarismyhomeboy I have had my HSG. The RE said my US's and HSG are conflicting. The HSG shows a arcarnate uterus, which has a dip at the top of the fundus (this can indicate a septum), but there was no septum on the HSG. My US's have show that I could have a septum. So he wants me to have a pelvic MRI to rule out septate uterus. If I do have it, then I will need to have a hysteroscopy to shave off the septum so I don't have recurrent miscarriages. I'm praying SO HARD that I don't have a septum. I'm also praying hard that my hemmorhagic cyst resolves itself within one cycle and I don't need laproscopic surgery to remove it as well.

Hi ladies! I go for my beta today from last months IUI, but all of my HPTs have been negative so I'm not hopeful. I think I'll be officially joining you in May for our 6th and final IUI before moving to IVF (hopefully we won't even need IVF!). I'm so frustrated and depressed. @NurseTMD85 sending you support today.  You are not alone in your feelings.  Mother's Day was so hard for me this year as well.  I stayed off Facebook and made the mistake of going on the next day and Facebook showed me what I missed - two pregnancy announcements from what seems like the only two people left without kids. It is so hard to have hope sometimes and this whole thing does make you feel totally crazy!  You don't want to think about this stuff all the time and you want to just "let things go" but that seems impossible to do!  FX for you today.

I love MorganL925's success story! Definitely gives me home.

@omarismyhomeboy- sorry to hear that AF showed up :( Hope it goes quickly and you are able to start a new month asap.

NurseTMD85- I'll hope for good news for your beta! I totally feel you- Mothers Day was really hard this year and I don't know why I didn't stay off facebook. 3 pregnancy announcements on my feed. hang in there and hopefully May will be your month!

AFM- had another U/S and BW with the RE this morning. Have 4 follies at 20-21mm, so looks like ill trigger tonight and do IUI Friday morning. I feel very hopeful, but besides having more follies than last IUI on clomid, there is nothing different for this round than last (and we havd 118mm post wash was 83% motility last IUI- can't get better than that!). While I am so glad we don't have any MFI, its definitely that there is something wrong with me if it doesn't work. I am really wondering if there is something wrong with the implantation process. My RE mentioned an endometrial biopsy on day 26 to check the lining and for Beta 3 Integren (SP?) as an option. Apparently there are some studies that say if this is missing, its very hard for the embryo to stick. This isn't accepted by all REs though. Has anyone done the endometrial biopsy before or had their RE mention it? My RE is recommending IVF if this IUI doesn't work, but I am wondering if this isn't something we should check out first. I would hate to move on to IVF and then have those embryo's still not stick...

BFN today as suspected. If my cycle is like every other one I had, my last IUI will be May 26th and my beta on June 10th. It's amazing how regular I am and how good our numbers have been and we still can't make it happen. It's also amazing that my heroin addict patient is on her 4th pregnancy (all of which have been removed from her care) and we can't even get one. It makes me hate the world. Oh well, off to have some cocktails while I can.

So, I just came back from IVF consult. Looks like even though I am pre-authorized for IVF it will still take 2 weeks to get approval? Which makes no sense to me. Anyways, that means if this cycle is a BFN, then I would have a cycle off of treatment before starting IVF. I was told I can't do another IUI during that time, but what do you guys think of requesting a clomid/TI cycle? Or should I give my ovaries a little vacation before IVF? I just hate to feel like I'm losing a chance, which is definitely more psychologically motivated than anything.

Let me know too if you think this is more something to post on the main board instead of this thread. Thanks for your wisdom ladies!

@NurseTMD85 I work in a addiction/mental health healthcare setting as well and see many patients who are pregnant/actively using. It's painful.

NurseTMD85 - So sorry to hear this. I totally understand your frustration. Just wondering if for your last IUI, your RE would maybe consider injectibles? My RE insists on an IUI with injectibles before IVF (since its the same drugs- with lower doses usually) to see how the body responds to them. That way if we move to IVF, she will know better what doses we need and there is less risk of cancellation or over stimulation. Just a thought! I am doing injectibles this time and besides the cost, its really not too bad.

Hi ladies- I've been MIA for the last couple of days because I was serving jury duty. As crazy as it sounds it was such a great distraction from my TWW. It was an interesting trial so it was nice to focus on something else completely. So far I'm so/so about this cycle. I go between being optimistic and completely negative. I'm trying not to overthink it and I'm trying to stay as calm as I can and hope this is my rainbow cycle.

@NurseTMD85, If my current cycle does not work, I will most likely have my IUI around your timing as well. I am sorry for your BFN. We all know how frustrating this process can be. Take good care of yourself. And I'm soory about your patient- that's beyond frustrating as those of us struggling here have made sacrifices and lifestyle adjustments to help facilitate a healthy positive pregnancy if we do indeed finally get our BFP and these women blink and get knocked up.

@omarismyhomeboy I'm sorry AF showed up- I hope next month will be it for you.

@Freudianmama- congrats on those follies. GL!

@MorganL925 Congratulations! It is fantastic to hear IUI success stories. Thanks for the intro @wifeinraleigh28. You mentioned keeping warm- my acupuncturist also  suggested this to me. I have a space heater under my desk at work and have been drinking room temp water or hot water. In chinese medicine they suggest it keeps the uterus warm. Who know really, I am willing to try anything these days.
@Monica54321- I hope you are doing ok and the RE can figure out why you are in so much pain.

@omarismyhomeboy - I'm so sorry :( I hope your adorable Omar gives you good cuddles this evening!

@NurseTMD85 - Sorry to see you over here in the May thread :(  I can't imagine seeing what you do at work while dealing with IF.

AFM - After a morning at the RE, they think I'm allergic to some component of DH's semen, causing general irritation & spasming of my uterus.  As explained, most of the semen content doesn't make it up into your uterus naturally, but with the IUI even though they wash the semen to reduce as much of the other 'stuff' as possible, still more than normal makes it in there.  Since I had a similar reaction to IUI #1, they suspect I'll have the same reaction to future IUIs as well (reaction level varying depending on how well the sample gets washed).  RE said that between the allergic reaction & general difficulty they've had placing the catheter for IUIs, he recommends going straight to IVF because there's nothing else they can do to lessen the pain/discomfort.  I scheduled our IVF consultation for July 18th (first available appointment) and I haven't decided if I'll do another IUI (or 2) in the meantime.  I may just switch to medication TI.

Hey Ladies. I've been MIA for awhile. I wrapped up my 10 days of provera on Saturday and still no AF. Typically it shows around 3 days post provera but this is making me nutty. Last time I didn't get AF after provera, I was KU.

I am still reading and following all of your cycles. I'll update when we actually get going! @Monica54321, I'll update the tracker as I might not get to my IUI in May!

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes. My little Omar is definitely a comfort :)
Weird reaction by my RE, though- I called to let them know and schedule my CD 3 baseline. My nurse said day 9 is REALLY early and asked if it was a full flow. I told her it was quite light, because it was, but it was more than the light spotting the night before. She talked to my RE and they had me pick up progesterone suppositories! They want me to take those for 4 days starting today. And then if its negative on Sunday we can call it quits.

I am confused though because I am really bleeding here, so how could I possibly be pregnant?! Anyway, it just seems like a confusing and pointless delay of my next cycle, but I am going to listen to them of course. At this point I won't even know what CD 1 is. Why is nothing ever simple?

monica54321 - sorry about the news! Maybe there will be a cancellation and you could get in earlier? its scary to think about IVF, but there seems to be so much success without, so hopefully this will be the key!

omarismyhomeboy - sorry to hear about AF :( maybe they think its possibly implantation bleeding this early or something if they prescribed progesterone? Will hope for an amazing success story for you!

Hello everyone. I know I'm a little late, but I just got word from my RE today that I am able to start my first IUI when my next cycle starts. I'm on CD 24 right now, but will most likely need progesterone to induce AF on day 40. I was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago and anovulation. My DH also was told he has mild MFI based on his first SA, but his second SA came back much better and RE said if anything it is extremely mild MFI. She wants to try Letrozole this time because we did 3 cycles with Clomid when I was just seeing my obgyn and only ovulated once. We also didn't do IUI with the Clomid so I'm excited to start it. She also wants to do the HcG trigger shot at the mid cycle US.  So here I am anxiously waiting AF and our first round of IUI.  Keeping our fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone here and I hope we all end up with BFPs! Has anyone had better luck ovulating on Letrozole than on Clomid? I'm wondering if it will work for me. :)

@madasm0530 Last time I took provera it took 10 days before AF came after I finished. Usually I start a day or two after I finish the pills. But my RE only prescribed it for 5 days, where my ObGYn was doing it for 10. I think that made a difference. Can I ask what KU means? I've seen it a couple times and can't figure it out. Lol.

@BornReady I had my IVF consult after IUI #2 before I found out they weren't going to cover it. They told me that it takes 2 weeks for with but that I could start the birth control pills while we wait, as I would be on them 3-4 weeks before starting my injections. Maybe you could suggest that so you get the IVF train rolling and don't miss any time. I hope it works out!

@jamieh2000 I've only been on 50mg of Clomid for my cycles and I always produce 3 mature follicles. My last round was almost cancelled. Since I've been responding so well they think that injectables may overstimulate me and I'll end up with too many. But you make an interesting point about the doses. I'll have to email my nurse to see what they think before I fill my meds. Thanks for the advice!

@roxgibbons I'm glad you got a little distraction! Fx and positive vibes coming your way!

@monica54321 I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I hope they work everything out and you can get another round in before IVF! And thanks for the chart! You're super organized

@Monica54321 I'm sorry about what you're going through, and double-y sorry that you have to wait until July for an IVF consult!  How frustrating.

It sounds like a lot of us will be moving on to IVF after this.  I personally cannot wait.  That is what I wanted to be doing this month anyway.  I'm ready to move on!  If we are unsuccessful, I will start screening for the clinical trial in early June, and will start stims with my NEXT period, likely near the end of June.  We will have to take a month off in between because the trial requires lab work for screening.  But I like having a plan in place!
