When did you start a bedtime routine?

Right now DC doesn't have a regular bedtime or even a rigid bedime routine. We usually start getting ready for bed anywhere between 9:00 - 11:00. She isn't getting a bath very often just yet, so we usually change her diaper, put on her sleep attire, I BF her and then we put her in her bassinet. Should we start being more rigid about the time we do this every night? Any other tops to introduce a bedtime routine?

    the first couple of months were just all about survival so we did what DS wanted when he wanted. Around 8 weeks we noticed DS was going to sleep around 7 everynight, so we took his cues and started getting him ready for bed around 6-6:30. Worked like a charm!

    We just started a bedtime and wake-up routine this week at about 2 months.  I was like you DS would go to bed at anytime.  I try now to start his bath around 9:15 or 9:30, pjs, bf, book, swaddle and crib and prayers.  He seems to sleep through most of his routine but its more for me.  Then we wake up between 7:30 - 8:30am.  Open shades and goodmornig.  I wouldn't worry about starting anything until 6 weeks to 2 months.

    We started around 6 weeks.  Around 830 we get her ready for a bath, bathe her, then its changing and lotion time.  Around 900 we rock her with the lights off and her white noise machine on and feed her a few ounces and she is asleep pretty quickly.  This is all after her last bottle which is anywhere between 6-715.  It has been working great for us and she's been sttn since about 7-8 weeks.

    Not until about 2 months. We started to notice a pattern-- he would go to sleep around 8:30 and sleep 3-4 hours. We now start bedtime at 7 pm and he is usually asleep by 8 pm. We dream feed between 10-11, he wakes at 3, then again at 7 or so. He is not yet 14 lbs so I am not expecting STTN quite yet.
