I know we've done a few posts that include this info, but I'd figure we'd do a concise one with more questions!

Re: Introductions!!
EDD/ weeks + days: 8/17; 4w5d
How you found out: I was a bit surprised with this one. We use FAM. In October we decided to stop actively avoiding, and start actively trying in June if nothing happened in the meantime. Thanksgiving weekend we went on a small getaway and odds were good. I started testing last Wed (11 DPO) and every day after. Period was due on Sat and before testing there was spotting that lead me to believe it was right on time and a light flow day (on track for Day 1 for me). I counted that cycle out and told mh as much since my period arrived. Sunday was just some brown spotting, which isn’t common but has happened before with my flow. By midday Monday (16 DPO) I suddenly realized I had only been dealing with almost nonexistent brown spotting, so I started a 4hr hold and tested. Faint line at 6pm and I almost fell over in shock. I know we had a chance, but also I was certain we were out this cycle.
1st appointment date: 1/8
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 37, married to mh (36) for 8 years. I actually haven’t told him yet. Since I already told him I started my period I figure now he won’t be wondering, and I can keep the secret until Christmas. I have a cute idea that I’m hoping I can pull off in time.
We have 2 boys: 11 (mh has been in his life since he was 2), and 2yrs. We also have 2 dogs: an Australian cattle dog (almost 14), and a Rhodesian Ridgeback (8). I work in a tech support managerial role and mh is in a construction-type industry. I also have a small side hustle making crafts for moms in my town when they’re in a pinch. We are always on the go. My oldest is on a very competitive hockey team, and when he doesn’t have practice or a game we’re usually out swimming or biking or running. We all participate in triathlon (except the toddler … although he does “help” us all train via the stroller or the bike trailer lol). In my last pregnancy I completed a Sprint Tri at 36 weeks (with Dr’s approval). This baby appears to be due the weekend of that triathlon, so I may have to skip this season lol.
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): So far I’ve been mildly crampy and gassy, but that’s about it. Breast sensitivity may be starting too, which I am not looking forward too with all the toddler hugs lol. Emotionally I’m mostly just excited! I’m excited to see my big kid be a big brother again, and the little one get to step into that new big brother role too. So far I’ve told the toddler and that’s it, and I’m bursting!
order labs/schedule my first appointment. My OB schedules the first appointment between 10-12 weeks but my anxiety cannot handle waiting that long so we scheduled a heartbeat confirmation ultrasound at an ultrasound spa and got to see the little heartbeat flicker last weekend!
How
you found out: we both knew even before I ever took a test! It was the craziest thing. Once I was late we tested and got confirmation, but leading up to it things just felt different.
1st appointment date: Jan 24, 2024
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?: I have 2 step sons, 1 dog and work in tech sales
Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I love baking, gardening and spending time in nature. My partner enjoys these things as well as golf!
FTM/STM/TTM+: I am a first time momma and so overjoyed!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): very tired and very emotional lol as soon as my workday ends I’m ready to eat and get in bed and I cry at most things
This time around i have ALL the early pregnancy symptoms! Moody AF, sore breasts, and this "morning sickness" for the birds. EED 8/6/24 seems i only get pregnant in November my older kids are 8/14 and 8/28 first visit is 1/12/24
EDD/ weeks + days: I am 5 weeks today (but the app is showing 4 weeks 4 days.) Due on August 20th!
How you found out: My husband and I have been trying for just shy of three years and have pursued many things due to unexplained infertility. 3 rounds of letrozole, 4 rounds of IUI, 1 egg retrieval, 12 embryos frozen, 1 frozen egg transfer… and now… one pregnancy! We found out thru bloodwork and a phone call from our sweet nursing team at the clinic.
1st appointment date: Jan 3rd for a 7wk ultrasound!
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have been married for 3 years, have a husky lab named Max, and recently moved to a small town in Manitoba, Canada. I am a marketing consultant and specialize in HubSpot Implementation. We are a Christian couple who are just so thankful for this gift from the Lord with this sweet baby.
FTM/STM/TTM+: This will be our very first baby!
How are you feeling: I didn’t believe the tests because I have mostly been feeling fine (I know we are still early too). But a VERY sore chest that has kept me up at night has been my biggest symptom. Next to mouth watering hunger for quarter pounders from McDs for some reason. Haha!
So lovely to meet you and I am so thankful to finally be part of this group with you all.
Enjoy every second of your precious pregnancies!
How you found out: I was over a week late but thought it was just stress! I bought a pregnancy test and was shocked that it was positive - my husband and I had gone off birth control a couple months ago but honestly had not been actively trying or keeping track of anything in terms of cycles, because we figured we’d “get serious” about it maybe next spring/summer. Thrilled though!
1st appointment date: Jan 5 for the ultrasound and Jan 9 for the rest of the doctor’s appointment - I wish it were sooner!!!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I work for a tech start-up and have one very loved dog, and in my spare time I love to read. My husband and I have been together since university - we’re in our early 30s now :)
FTM/STM/TTM+: first time mom, first pregnancy.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Excited and nervous. This is all very new, trying to temper expectations in case something goes wrong but hoping it all goes right! Crazy heartburn and sore breasts, and I had quite heavy cramping around week 4 that I thought was PMS… looks like it was probably implantation cramps instead. Since then, occasional cramps but quite low and goes away quickly. Low level nausea constantly :/ but no throwing up yet!
How you found out: i have a 7 month old baby boy, and 2 weeks before i tested he was extremely fussy! he was already in a great routine, with a very calm attitude.. but out of nowhere he became extremely irritable & my mom and sisters kept saying “you’re probably pregnant, he’s acting cheepy” and then my husband started getting very excited & he wanted for me to test already 😂 i waited till a day after my period was due & it came back positive!! my ob recommended i stopped breastfeeding & ever since my baby switched to formula he’s been back to his calm, usual self. i have a theory that he felt the changes in my body through my breastmilk 🤷🏻♀️
1st appt date: it was 12/11
Tell us about yourself (Other children / pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
i’ve been married to my husband for almost 6 years & we have two sons together, a 5 year old and a 7 month old. i’m a stay at home homeschooling mom 💕 we have an american bully, her name is lulu! and we have 2 guinea pigs.
FTM/STM/TTM: 3rd time mom, 5th pregnancy
How are you feeling (any symptoms/emotionally): the nausea is strong this time around, i’ve never actually thrown up but i feel sick all day long. i’m also always extremely cold to the point that i’m shivering looking for blankets all around the house 😂 but the most annoying symptom i’ve had is daily headaches, i also had them everyday with my last pregnancy. emotionally i’ve had a couple outbursts of either excitement or sadness, i saw my boys sleeping at night & i cried cause i missed them so much 😭😂
How you found out: Was taking strip tests since 10dpo (estimated) and finally got a positive result on the day my period was due.
1st appointment date: Appointment with a GP December 20th to get a referral for an obgyn.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been together just over 7 years now, and got married earlier this year. We have a cat & a dog together, and they are my absolute babies. I have a 9-5 office job and love spending time with my family.
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM (and absolutely terrified)
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): As mentioned above, I'm absolutely terrified. I've witnessed close family and friends experience loss and infertility, so when we got pregnant on only our second month of trying, I was shocked and immediately nervous. Because of the fear, I'm adamant that I don't want to tell my family or friends until I'm further along, so right now it's just my husband and I... and although he's great and amazingly supportive, I'm definitely missing having someone knowledgeable I can go to with questions and concerns. I'm becoming someone who constantly looks online for every small feeling.
My wife and I have a 14th month old son from our first frozen embryo transfer with reciprocal IVF. He is my wife's mini me. He's been doing the thing where he looks between his legs for the last two months (for his sibling), so we're excited to be pregnant. I'm in healthcare and my wife stays at home with our little one. We have a large poodle-St. Bernard mix and an African grey parrot. We love to dance and travel. We have a family vacation to the Azores planned in the spring. I also love to cook and read.
I have had 4 girls, 1 passed away shortly after birth. She had a lot of fetal surgeries and was delivered at 29w5d. I am divorced from their father and this is my boyfriend’s first child. I am a RN and probably moving from the west back to the south soon.
We just have a ragdoll cat named Stella. I work as an Operations Manager for a Health Care company and my husband is in finance. Really looking forward go being first time parents!
How you found out:
MH and I just got off a cruise for our 1st year anniversary/ Christmas trip and, I was expecting my period to start a couple of days before we left. Then, I assumed it would come sometime on the cruise since this is the 2nd time in our 1 year of being married I have had a late period. Day 1 of the cruise I was good, even had some wine to celebrate our anniversary (oops :-/). Day 2, at dinner, I finished my appetizer and felt extremely nauseous. I assumed it was motion sickness, went back to the room and laid down. But after relieving myself I felt better and thought to myself, my period is late and I’m having this feeling it might be time to take a test. We picked up one that had two testers the next day and each one came back positive. This is after we have been intentionally being active for 2 months.
1st appointment date: Have to schedule one when I get home.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? I am 38, I work with college athletes and coaches as a chaplain. My husband, 34, is a strength and conditioning coach for collegiate football. We’re excited to be future parents. Lol he wants a girl, I want a boy. But open to whatever the Lord brings us.
FTM/STM/TTM+:How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally):
FTM, excited but nervous since I’m older and I know they would consider me a high risk. Also, I had a myomectomy (removal of multiple fibroids, one was as big as a baby’s head) so in the past my doctor has stated my uterus might be a little sensitive.
Symptoms: Already having food aversion, strong sense of smell, slightly nausea and lightheadedness at times, bloating, and signs of being overly emotional.
I am 5 weeks & 5 days today and due 8/23/24
How you found out:
Did 1 round of IVF (9 embryos; 8 frozen & 1 freshly transferred on December 6 as a 5 day embryo)- got a call from fertility nurse with positive blood test at work on 12/15/23.
1st appointment date:
1/9/24
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?
Hi, I’m Daria. I am 31 years old. I am a Middle School Choir Teacher. I live with my husband and 2 GSPs Havoc & Raid (in avatar picture).
Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I love walking/hiking/running, scuba diving(I miss it!), watching movies, playing board/ card games, and pheasant hunting with my pups and husband. My husband, Cody, is a Senior Project Engineer at Polaris.
FTM/STM/TTM+:
1st pregnancy through IVF/fresh embryo transfer after 4.5 years of unexplained infertility.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally):
I am feeling a little anxious. It was not an easy road to get here so all I can think about is things that can go wrong instead of trying to enjoy the positives. I am physically feeling ok with tender breasts, slight exhaustion, and minor cramping. Hoping this embryo keeps sticking and growing! Still in shock that this thing worked- hard to believe!
I’m 22, so I’m a relatively young mother. I’ve been with my husband for four years, but we just got married in May! We also have two sphynx cats.
I will be 5 weeks on Friday and my EDD is 8/30.
We have been TTC for two years now, had a pregnancy this January that unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. Had several procedures this October (laparoscopy to confirm and remove endo, hysteroscopy to remove fibroid, and a hysterosalpingogram). This is month 3 after trying since the procedures and every month once it hit 3-4 days before my period I would start testing. My period has been 27-28 days to T for 4 years now so pretty regular! Tested on day 3 before missed period and had a positive!
I’m 34 and have been with my husband for 7 years-married 5. We have 3 dogs and 5 cats. I love to read in my free time and we are so excited to finally be adding to our family.
I have been exhausted, having some headaches, as well as some mild cramping. Did hCG testing to check my numbers. First day was 1179. Go back tomorrow for number 2. Very anxious to see my numbers and schedule my first ultrasound!
How you found out: very late period (which is not abnormal) & weird short term memory loss (abnormal! 😅) compelled me to take a test.
1st appointment date: 12/14 & my next real ultrasound (of a hopefully full baby!) is scheduled for 1/11.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?
Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): perfect husband, two other babies (2 + 3 yrs), terrible (actually great but I can’t stand him) dog. I quit my job after I had my second daughter, and aside from doing contract work on the weekends, I’m a SAHM and I love it!
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM+ fourth pregnancy, but prayerfully third baby.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): very sick with nausea, not enjoying food 😭, nothing fits, short temper 🙃, but now that we’ve been super sick with cold/flu/covid or whatever it is, everything else doesn’t seem so intense. 😅
EDD/ weeks + days: August 2, 9 weeks & 5 days
How I found out: Decided to take a test after noticing some weird food cravings and aversions and periods of nausea. I didn’t have a period last month, but chalked it up to being my first month off hormonal birth control and on Phexxi. Test was IMMEDIATELY positive so here I am
First appointment: TBD
About me: this will be our third child. We have been married since 2014 and have a 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter. But honestly, the baby stages were so long ago that I totally feel like a FTM again. I’m a pharmacist and my husband is a sales analyst
Symptoms: Nausea occasionally, a weird cramps pain in my lower abdomen when I get up from sitting or laying that I also had with my previous pregnancies. Some food cravings and aversions too.
EDD/ weeks + days: EDD is August 2 +/- two weeks (hoping for a July baby since our family has so many August birthdays)
next appointment is in a week and a half! (:
next appointment is in a week and a half! (:
How you found out: Husband & I had a feeling so I took a test, then I took 2 more to confirm.
1st appointment date: 01/10
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Born & raised in the Bay Area. I'm 32 and pretty introverted. Before we found out we're expecting, I was thinking about picking up some new hobbies/starting to bake again, but now it feels like all I do in my free time is try to figure out what I can do/eat & what I shouldn't do/eat.
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Physical: Breasts are tender (less than they were a couple weeks ago), aversion to certain foods (mostly things that aren't good for me anyway), tired/some problems sleeping. Emotional: excited, but nervous/feeling underprepared & I'm still in disbelief that we're expecting even though we heard our baby's heartbeat Wed.
•My period was 4 days late and I decided to test on 12/26 (the day I was leaving for Mexico for my brothers wedding!). Needless to say, I was shocked when the test came back positive as we were not trying to conceive. Thank god I did so I made sure to avoid the margaritas and tequila shots! (Which was hard given that no one knows yet!)
•First appointment is January 17 ahhhh! Anxiety is killing me
•First time mom! Ahhhh
•I am tired and SO HUNGRY but also nauseous all the time which just sucks. Many things I normally loved eating make me want to puke so doing my best to get as much nutritious food in as possible. Working hard to keep my workout routine up despite the fatigue.
EDD/ weeks + days:
August 4th / 11w 6d
We have been trying for 3 years, I had been ovulation tracking for almost 2 years, and I had a surgery to help with my infertility issues this past August. But the month we found out I decided to stop tracking or worrying about any of it anymore because I want to just focus on wedding planning. A couple weeks later I was feeling sick again after just getting over something. I had to use the bathroom more frequently than before and I realize my period had not come. I checked all 3 of my ovulation tracking apps and each said I was 3-5 days late. So I took a test, expecting like every other time for it to come back negative and then my period to start with vengeance the next day. Well it was positive! I cried so hard and walked around my house thanking God for at least 10 minutes. Then I got busy preparing to tell my fiancé when he got home from work.
Jan 2nd was the first one, and the second one will be the 30th. Can not wait to see our little bean again!
My fiancé asked me to marry him in October while we were visit family in Scotland! We are both registered nurses, he works in the ER and I am a charge nurse on a step down unit. We have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I love to garden, read, travel, craft, and cuddle.
First time mom!
I am constantly exhausted. I have to eat small meals every 3 hours or I'm nauseous and if I eat too much I get nauseous. Thankfully everything stays down though. I hate any strong smells, I have to stuff my nose. I have to pee very often and I'm definitely emotional. So emotional it's comical when I think back to it. I know symptoms could be way worse. I'm just ready to not be so exhausted.
