Re: Introductions!!

  • EDD/ weeks + days: 5w

How you found out: Took a test a few days ago because I had a suspicion when my smelling senses were going crazy over every smell.

1st appointment date: January 15th (ughhh...so far away!)

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a stepson who is 9, and a son who is turning 2 in Feb. We have a very affectionate golden retriever (no I don't think she can sense that I am pregnant  :D). I love to hike, read, cook, craft, and play pickleball and board games.

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM (birthing) and TTM overall ;)

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): I'm feeling okay right now! I'm nervous for the next couple of weeks because I was quite sick with my son (almost the entire pregnancy). A little bloated and tired.

How you found out: I was a bit surprised with this one. We use FAM. In October we decided to stop actively avoiding, and start actively trying in June if nothing happened in the meantime. Thanksgiving weekend we went on a small getaway and odds were  good. I started testing last Wed (11 DPO) and every day after. Period was due on Sat and before testing there was spotting that lead me to believe it was right on time and a light flow day (on track for Day 1 for me). I counted that cycle out and told mh as much since my period arrived.  Sunday was just some brown spotting, which isn’t common but has happened before with my flow.  By midday Monday (16 DPO) I suddenly realized I had only been dealing with almost nonexistent brown spotting, so I started a 4hr hold and tested. Faint line at 6pm and I almost fell over in shock. I know we had a chance, but also I was certain we were out this cycle.

    1st appointment date: 1/8

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 37, married to mh (36) for 8 years. I actually haven’t told him yet. Since I already told him I started my period I figure now he won’t be wondering, and I can keep the secret until Christmas. I have a cute idea that I’m hoping I can pull off in time.

We have 2 boys: 11 (mh has been in his life since he was 2), and 2yrs. We also have 2 dogs: an Australian cattle dog (almost 14), and a Rhodesian Ridgeback (8).  I work in a tech support managerial role and mh is in a construction-type industry. I also have a small side hustle making crafts for moms in my town when they’re in a pinch. We are always on the go. My oldest is on a very competitive hockey team, and when he doesn’t have practice or a game we’re usually out swimming or biking or running. We all participate in triathlon (except the toddler … although he does “help” us all train via the stroller or the bike trailer lol).  In my last pregnancy I completed a Sprint Tri at 36 weeks (with Dr’s approval). This baby appears to be due the weekend of that triathlon, so I may have to skip this season lol.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): So far I’ve been mildly crampy and gassy, but that’s about it. Breast sensitivity may be starting too, which I am not looking forward too with all the toddler hugs lol. Emotionally I’m mostly just excited! I’m excited to see my big kid be a big brother again, and the little one get to step into that new big brother role too. So far I’ve told the toddler and that’s it, and I’m bursting!

  • EDD/ weeks + days: I think about 7 weeks, or 6+6 depending on which calculator I use.

How you found out: similar to @mouseymotherpucker we were also practicing FAM to avoid pregnancy since my last baby and stopped preventing in October. We were open to one more but not planning to actively try. Figured it would happen eventually but not necessarily so fast. Had a tiny bit of spotting around 9dpo (never had implantation bleeding before but this made me suspicious) and took a test the next day.

1st appointment date: I have a phone call with the nurse on 12/22 and she will
order labs/schedule my first appointment. My OB schedules the first appointment between 10-12 weeks but my anxiety cannot handle waiting that long so we scheduled a heartbeat confirmation ultrasound at an ultrasound spa and got to see the little heartbeat flicker last weekend!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?
Job? Things you like to do? I live with my husband and three boys, ages 1, 3, and 5, and one cat. I work as a clinical psychologist. We like to get out and about with the kids as much as we can, zoo/aquarium, libraries, playgrounds, etc.

Spouse/partner?): my husband and I have been married for 7.5 years.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: 4thTM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): emotionally I am excited but have been having a lot of anxiety as well. The ultrasound helped some with anxiety but I’m also nervous about juggling four kids, the financial implications of having four kids, and honestly worried about how people will react when we tell them. By the fourth kid, I feel like a lot of people will be surprised and might say judgmental things instead of just expressing excitement. I know I shouldn’t worry about this but it does pop into my head when I think about telling our families etc.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 8/6 / 6+3

How you found out: After a year of fertility treatments, we decided to take a break and try on our own. I only tested because I was going to make holiday cocktails while we decorated. It was definitely a shock to find out we were pregnant on our first cycle!

    1st appointment date: 12/21

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): this is will be my first baby. I have a little dog that thinks she’s my baby. My husband and I are coming up in our two year wedding anniversary. The last two years have been consumed with TTC and fertility treatments, but we love traveling, hiking, camping and a good book.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): I am exhausted and nauseous every day. Emotionally I’m thrilled, but I’m also scared since we had a loss in September. Next weeks appointment can’t come soon enough!
  • EDD/ weeks + days: Aug 22 (35 weeks + 1 day)
    How
you found out: we both knew even before I ever took a test! It was the craziest thing. Once I was late we tested and got confirmation, but leading up to it things just felt different.
    1st appointment date: Jan 24, 2024
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?: I have 2 step sons, 1 dog and work in tech sales
Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I love baking, gardening and spending time in nature. My partner enjoys these things as well as golf!
FTM/STM/TTM+: I am a first time momma and so overjoyed!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): very tired and very emotional lol as soon as my workday ends I’m ready to eat and get in bed and I cry at most things
  • I was 10 days late and took a pregnancy tedt to rule out pregnancy... Hashimotos untreated i thought it was more likely that i would hve to get the meds to start a cycle and was just checking to make sure... fast forward my hubs is lossing his mind; because we are newly weds with a blended family; I have 2 sons (16, 10) he had 2 daughter's (13 and 11) and we are in our late 30s.

This time around i have ALL the early pregnancy symptoms!  Moody AF, sore breasts, and this "morning sickness" for the birds. EED 8/6/24 seems i only get pregnant in November my older kids are 8/14 and 8/28 first visit is 1/12/24
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 6 weeks + 2 days!

How you found out: I was over a week late but thought it was just stress! I bought a pregnancy test and was shocked that it was positive - my husband and I had gone off birth control a couple months ago but honestly had not been actively trying or keeping track of anything in terms of cycles, because we figured we’d “get serious” about it maybe next spring/summer. Thrilled though!

1st appointment date: Jan 5 for the ultrasound and Jan 9 for the rest of the doctor’s appointment - I wish it were sooner!!!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I work for a tech start-up and have one very loved dog, and in my spare time I love to read. My husband and I have been together since university - we’re in our early 30s now :)

FTM/STM/TTM+: first time mom, first pregnancy.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Excited and nervous. This is all very new, trying to temper expectations in case something goes wrong but hoping it all goes right! Crazy heartburn and sore breasts, and I had quite heavy cramping around week 4 that I thought was PMS… looks like it was probably implantation cramps instead. Since then, occasional cramps but quite low and goes away quickly. Low level nausea constantly :/ but no throwing up yet!
  • EDD / weeks + days: August 5th, 7 weeks!

How you found out: i have a 7 month old baby boy, and 2 weeks before i tested he was extremely fussy! he was already in a great routine, with a very calm attitude.. but out of nowhere he became extremely irritable & my mom and sisters kept saying “you’re probably pregnant, he’s acting cheepy” and then my husband started getting very excited & he wanted for me to test already 😂 i waited till a day after my period was due & it came back positive!! my ob recommended i stopped breastfeeding & ever since my baby switched to formula he’s been back to his calm, usual self. i have a theory that he felt the changes in my body through my breastmilk 🤷🏻‍♀️

1st appt date: it was 12/11

Tell us about yourself (Other children / pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
i’ve been married to my husband for almost 6 years & we have two sons together, a 5 year old and a 7 month old. i’m a stay at home homeschooling mom 💕 we have an american bully, her name is lulu! and we have 2 guinea pigs.

    FTM/STM/TTM: 3rd time mom, 5th pregnancy

How are you feeling (any symptoms/emotionally): the nausea is strong this time around, i’ve never actually thrown up but i feel sick all day long. i’m also always extremely cold to the point that i’m shivering looking for blankets all around the house 😂 but the most annoying symptom i’ve had is daily headaches, i also had them everyday with my last pregnancy. emotionally i’ve had a couple outbursts of either excitement or sadness, i saw my boys sleeping at night & i cried cause i missed them so much 😭😂
  • EDD/ weeks + days: August 19th, 5w1d

How you found out: Was taking strip tests since 10dpo (estimated) and finally got a positive result on the day my period was due.

1st appointment date: Appointment with a GP December 20th to get a referral for an obgyn.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been together just over 7 years now, and got married earlier this year. We have a cat & a dog together, and they are my absolute babies. I have a 9-5 office job and love spending time with my family.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM (and absolutely terrified)

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): As mentioned above, I'm absolutely terrified. I've witnessed close family and friends experience loss and infertility, so when we got pregnant on only our second month of trying, I was shocked and immediately nervous. Because of the fear, I'm adamant that I don't want to tell my family or friends until I'm further along, so right now it's just my husband and I... and although he's great and amazingly supportive, I'm definitely missing having someone knowledgeable I can go to with questions and concerns. I'm becoming someone who constantly looks online for every small feeling.
  • EDD: August 27, 2024
How you found out: TTC, first positive test at 10dpo
1st appointment date: Haven’t made one yet
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I’m married and a SAHM to 5 kids whom I homeschool. Our other kids are all 8 and under but we’ve been ttc #6 for 3 years now.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): I’m really nervous about this pregnancy since it took us so long to get pregnant this time, I’m emotionally drained.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: Aug 25, 4w3d

How you found out: We had a frozen embryo transfer and had a faint positive on day 7 after transfer that has been confirmed with rising beta HCG levels! It's so amazing to see that second little line.

1st appointment date: 2 weeks to an ultrasound with our fertility doc and then back to our regular OB after that

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
My wife and I have a 14th month old son from our first frozen embryo transfer with reciprocal IVF. He is my wife's mini me. He's been doing the thing where he looks between his legs for the last two months (for his sibling), so we're excited to be pregnant. I'm in healthcare and my wife stays at home with our little one. We have a large poodle-St. Bernard mix and an African grey parrot. We love to dance and travel. We have a family vacation to the Azores planned in the spring. I also love to cook and read.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): I'm very, very fatigued. Mild nausea and a strong craving for pickles with cheese.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 17th August 2024

How you found out: we decided to start trying last month and looked at when I’d be ovulating and boom I was pregnant 10 days later. I know how lucky I am - this is our first baby and I’m 35.

1st appointment date: I don’t have this scheduled yet but looking at everyone else’s responses I guess I should get on that pretty quickly!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
We just have a ragdoll cat named Stella. I work as an Operations Manager for a Health Care company and my husband is in finance. Really looking forward go being first time parents!

FTM/STM/TTM: we had one miscarriage back in January so this is our second pregnancy and really hoping everything goes smoothly.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): just bloated and gassy and breast tenderness. I am also constantly crampy. No morning sickness which I find odd but maybe I am just lucky. Hope this is all normal.. I have nothing to benchmark it against
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 31 August/no idea what that makes me

How you found out: we had sex once since my 1yo was born, then my period was late 🤦🏼‍♀️ didn’t get a positive result until I was 35 days since my LMP

1st appointment date: Haven’t booked any

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m married with 2 kids. We live in Australia. I’m an engineer in the mining industry.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally):  I was offered my dream job yesterday so to be honest this isn’t great timing. Other than that I just have some mild cramping.

  • EDD/ weeks + days: Aug 30
How you found out: had a feeling and took a test. Have since taken 5 more 😂
1st appointment date: I haven't called yet, I will tomorrow!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): 7 yo daughter and 4 yo son. I had a miscarriage in 2021 so this will (fingers crossed) be my rainbow baby. This will be my SO's first though. We're both 34.
    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Tired and nauseous off and on. Gassy lol. Emotionally, I'm excited but still in shock/disbelief. We've been trying for a couple months and it just doesn't seem real
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 4 wks+ 5 days = August 30th 2024

    How you found out:
MH and I just got off a cruise for our 1st year anniversary/ Christmas trip and, I was expecting my period to start a couple of days before we left. Then, I assumed it would come sometime on the cruise since this is the 2nd time in our 1 year of being married I have had a late period. Day 1 of the cruise I was good, even had some wine to celebrate our anniversary (oops :-/). Day 2, at dinner, I finished my appetizer and felt extremely nauseous. I assumed it was motion sickness, went back to the room and laid down. But after relieving myself I felt better and thought to myself, my period is late and I’m having this feeling it might be time to take a test. We picked up one that had two testers the next day and each one came back positive. This is after we have been intentionally being active for 2 months.

1st appointment date: Have to schedule one when I get home.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? I am 38, I work with college athletes and coaches as a chaplain. My husband, 34, is a strength and conditioning coach for collegiate football. We’re excited to be future parents. Lol he wants a girl, I want a boy. But open to whatever the Lord brings us.

FTM/STM/TTM+:How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally):
FTM, excited but nervous since I’m older and I know they would consider me a high risk. Also, I had a myomectomy (removal of multiple fibroids, one was as big as a baby’s head) so in the past my doctor has stated my uterus might be a little sensitive.
Symptoms: Already having food aversion, strong sense of smell, slightly nausea and lightheadedness at times, bloating, and signs of being overly emotional.
  • EDD/ weeks + days:
    I am 5 weeks & 5 days today and due 8/23/24

    How you found out:
Did 1 round of IVF (9 embryos; 8 frozen & 1 freshly transferred on December 6 as a 5 day embryo)- got a call from fertility nurse with positive blood test at work on 12/15/23.

    1st appointment date:
    1/9/24

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?
Hi, I’m Daria. I am 31 years old. I am a Middle School Choir Teacher. I live with my husband and 2 GSPs Havoc & Raid (in avatar picture).

Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I love walking/hiking/running, scuba diving(I miss it!), watching movies, playing board/ card games, and pheasant hunting with my pups and husband. My husband, Cody, is a Senior Project Engineer at Polaris.

    FTM/STM/TTM+:
1st pregnancy through IVF/fresh embryo transfer after 4.5 years of unexplained infertility.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally):
I am feeling a little anxious. It was not an easy road to get here so all I can think about is things that can go wrong instead of trying to enjoy the positives. I am physically feeling ok with tender breasts, slight exhaustion, and minor cramping. Hoping this embryo keeps sticking and growing! Still in shock that this thing worked- hard to believe!
  • Hi, I’m Becca!
    EDD/ weeks + days: 7 weeks & 5 days
How you found out: I took a pregnancy test when my period was late. We were surprised but so thankful for this little baby 🩷
1st appointment date: We had our first appt. 12/20 and got to see our little one on an ultrasound.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I’m 22, so I’m a relatively young mother. I’ve been with my husband for four years, but we just got married in May! We also have two sphynx cats.
    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): LOTS of nausea and anxiety, but lots of happiness and excitement, too!
  • Hello! Angela from Alaska here!

I will be 5 weeks on Friday and my EDD is 8/30.

We have been TTC for two years now, had a pregnancy this January that unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. Had several procedures this October (laparoscopy to confirm and remove endo, hysteroscopy to remove fibroid, and a hysterosalpingogram). This is month 3 after trying since the procedures and every month once it hit 3-4 days before my period I would start testing. My period has been 27-28 days to T for 4 years now so pretty regular! Tested on day 3 before missed period and had a positive!

I’m 34 and have been with my husband for 7 years-married 5. We have 3 dogs and 5 cats. I love to read in my free time and we are so excited to finally be adding to our family.

I have been exhausted, having some headaches, as well as some mild cramping. Did hCG testing to check my numbers. First day was 1179. Go back tomorrow for number 2. Very anxious to see my numbers and schedule my first ultrasound!
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 8/23, 6w3d

How you found out: faint at home pregnancy test 7 days after embryo transfer - honestly expected it to be negative just like all of the others for the last 2 years, asked my husband to confirm positive, laugh/sobbed together in glee

1st appointment date: 12/18 tested hcg, 12/20 tested hcg levels, 12/29 first ultrasound and saw that heart flicker ❤️

Tell us about yourself: interior designer, DH is an engineer, so basically we make stuff work well

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

How are you feeling? Everything I'm experiencing is heaven compared to the side effects during my retrievals and failed transfer. No complaints. Just so grateful. Feeling worried about baby's health and safety, but my understanding is that I'll probably be worried about my baby's health and safety for the rest of my life, so that's totally fine with me.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 8weeks & a few days, EDD is 8/7/24

How you found out: very late period (which is not abnormal) & weird short term memory loss (abnormal! 😅) compelled me to take a test.

1st appointment date: 12/14 & my next real ultrasound (of a hopefully full baby!) is scheduled for 1/11.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job?
Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): perfect husband, two other babies (2 + 3 yrs), terrible (actually great but I can’t stand him) dog. I quit my job after I had my second daughter, and aside from doing contract work on the weekends, I’m a SAHM and I love it!

FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM+ fourth pregnancy, but prayerfully third baby.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): very sick with nausea, not enjoying food 😭, nothing fits, short temper 🙃, but now that we’ve been super sick with cold/flu/covid or whatever it is, everything else doesn’t seem so intense. 😅
  • Hello! I'm Kathleen from Alaska

    EDD/ weeks + days: August 2, 9 weeks & 5 days
How you found out: I decided to take a test a couple days before Thanksgiving. My period hadn't started yet and I'm pretty regular. I was also having some spotting.
1st appointment date: Just had it! 1/3. It feels so real now!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I recently got married again this past September. My first husband of almost 5 years passed away in 2021 suddenly. I feel blessed that I get to experience great love twice in my life. But there is still the sad feelings. My first husband and I wanted a family. My desire to have a family continued and fortunately my husband now feels the same. Though he wasn't expecting us to get pregnant so quickly! We were not trying but also not preventing. We have two dogs that we love and we are sure that they will love this little baby too! I currently work full time but will be a SAHM when baby comes.
    FTM/STM/TTM+: First time momma!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): A couple weeks ago I started to have a little nausea and last week it got worse. I feel like I have better control over it now but I can't wait for that symptom to go away. Mostly I feel tired. I'm loving my bed right now! Mostly I'm feeling happy and excited. A little bit of moodiness.
  • EDD: 8/21/24?

How I found out: Decided to take a test after noticing some weird food cravings and aversions and periods of nausea. I didn’t have a period last month, but chalked it up to being my first month off hormonal birth control and on Phexxi. Test was IMMEDIATELY positive so here I am

    First appointment: TBD

About me: this will be our third child. We have been married since 2014 and have a 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter. But honestly, the baby stages were so long ago that I totally feel like a FTM again. I’m a pharmacist and my husband is a sales analyst

Symptoms: Nausea occasionally, a weird cramps pain in my lower abdomen when I get up from sitting or laying that I also had with my previous pregnancies. Some food cravings and aversions too.
  • Hi!! Making a little bit of a late entrance but excited to be here and get to know you all!

    EDD/ weeks + days: 8/16 (8w1d)

How you found out: this is an IVF baby, so took a hpt 5dp5dt (10dpo) and got a super faint line. Kept darkening and got a positive blood test on 12/8

1st appointment date: I’ve had 4 u/s with my RE, but graduated with them last week. My OB phone intake is 1/17 but won’t have another scheduled u/s until 12ish weeks. I may try and talk them into a peace of mind appointment lol

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m a preschool speech therapist, and have been married to my husband for 7 years. We have a 2 year old daughter who was also a fertility treatment baby (IUI). We also have an 8 year old cat who will not be thrilled with adding yet another tiny human to the house lol. I love exercising, but haven’t been doing much of that recently. I’m also getting really into baking bread!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): I know there’s a couple other IVF peeps in here who may get this but I’m a basket case. I’ve been wayyy more anxious this time around compared to with my daughter. I had 2 chemical pregnancies before this transfer stuck, and I am just now starting to feel optimistic about this pregnancy. Physically, my symptoms are way less than they were at this point with my daughter. My boobs are sore, and I’ve been on and off queasy but feel better when I eat. And I’m exhausted!
  • Since I am now ten or eleven weeks and this is starting to seem real, I'm back on the Bump and thought I'd check out the forums this time around!

EDD/ weeks + days: EDD is August 2 +/- two weeks (hoping for a July baby since our family has so many August birthdays)

How you found out: On my way out the door to brunch I saw my box of tampons in the bathroom and realized I hadn't gotten my period in a while. I bought a pregnancy test on the way and took it in the restaurant bathroom. It was very hard not to blurt the news out to my two best friends!

1st appointment date: had a few weeks ago

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a 15-month old daughter and work at a law firm. My husband works in cybersecurity. I like to bake and walk by the water and currently am into watching cult documentaries (no matter how crazy my life is, at least I'm not in a cult)

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Mostly alternating between feeling sick and feeling starving, though that's luckily going away a bit now. Also very tired. And still can't really stand the taste of coffee, which should have been a clue since I had that in my first trimester last time. Emotionally alternating between being delighted at this wonderful surprise (our first daughter was conceived through IVF) and freaked out at the thought of going through the sleep deprivation and PPA again.
  • I am 6w5days.  I found out by taking a pregnancy test 3 days before my period because I’m inpatient and had to know.  My husband and I are so excited and feel extremely blessed.  I am 32 and we are newly married, about 7 months in.  We have been together almost 4 years.  We have a dog name Dawson (he’s the best!) and we both work full time jobs!  I am feeling ok, mild cramping with some light spotting occasionally. I’m tired with headaches and my breasts are tender.

All in all not too bad EXCEPT we have to wait until January 23rd for an appointment. Brutal….
  • EDD/ weeks + days: 10 weeks + 4 days
How you found out: I woke up one morning feeling like my boobs had grown 3x their size!! Took a test that night, along with 3 others the next morning for “double checking” all a resounding positive!
1st appointment date: just had it, 1/9!
Tell us about yourself: i’m 26, married for 2 years! Living abroad in Japan!
    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

  • @knottieae5364d89226a004 DH has to travel to Japan for work and he's wanting me to come.  Do you think it's a fun place for a pregnant foreigner? Seeing as I can't eat sushi or go in the hot springs....

  • EDD/ weeks + days: 08/04 - 10 weeks 5 days

How you found out: Husband & I had a feeling so I took a test, then I took 2 more to confirm.

    1st appointment date: 01/10

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Born & raised in the Bay Area. I'm 32 and pretty introverted. Before we found out we're expecting, I was thinking about picking up some new hobbies/starting to bake again, but now it feels like all I do in my free time is try to figure out what I can do/eat & what I shouldn't do/eat.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): Physical: Breasts are tender (less than they were a couple weeks ago), aversion to certain foods (mostly things that aren't good for me anyway), tired/some problems sleeping. Emotional: excited, but nervous/feeling underprepared & I'm still in disbelief that we're expecting even though we heard our baby's heartbeat Wed.

  • •Due August 30, currently 7 weeks 3 days
•My period was 4 days late and I decided to test on 12/26 (the day I was leaving for Mexico for my brothers wedding!). Needless to say, I was shocked when the test came back positive as we were not trying to conceive. Thank god I did so I made sure to avoid the margaritas and tequila shots! (Which was hard given that no one knows yet!)
•First appointment is January 17 ahhhh! Anxiety is killing me
•I’m an Indian Dutch Surinamese girl living in Houston, and have been married to my Portuguese husband for 7 months now. We were trying to enjoy our newlywed bliss for a bit longer, but life doesn’t always go to plan.
    •First time mom! Ahhhh
•I am tired and SO HUNGRY but also nauseous all the time which just sucks. Many things I normally loved eating make me want to puke so doing my best to get as much nutritious food in as possible. Working hard to keep my workout routine up despite the fatigue.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: August 7th
How you found out: I thought I had a UTI and went to urgent care. They said I had no uti and negative pregnancy test. Took an at home pregnancy test about a week and a half later because the need to pee was so bad and it was positive!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have an *almost* 2yo son. I’m a kindergarten teacher, my husband works in IT. We like to travel when we can, and now that our son is older I’m hoping we venture out to new experiences for him.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally): We underwent months of treatments to have my son, so we were pleasantly surprised to conceive on our own this time. We had a scare early on but everything seems to great now!
