I got to see him today. He was bouncing up and down a lot. My hematoma has shrank some. Not as much as I had hoped but shrinking and not growing is still good news. It was almost like an early anatomy scan. She took measurements of his entire body and looked at all of his organs.
Here was a quick 5 minute ultrasound that I didn’t expect to get but baby was waving! And the baby was spinning around! So his/her head was pointing down. 18 weeks here
Had a hilarious time finding the sex of baby as HE is a squirmy worm! Baby BOY is growing right on track, and so glad we came to a new OB. 😊 17weeks and 2 days.
Anatomy scan pic from 3/9 (19w). I had coffee right before I went in, so the constant alligator rolling could’ve been my fault 🫣 bad news is that we have to go back for more pics bc of that (I think mainly around the heart and kidneys). Good news, we get to see baby again. She kindly included several face forward shots. I told her we didn’t need any of those and she gave me like 5. Now I won’t be able to sleep 😂👽
Had an unexpected u/s last Friday due to some spotting on and off. Everything is good though and baby is healthy. She said she could tell me the gender if I wanted to know, which was exciting! But then baby would not cooperate, so I have to wait until the 6th for our anatomy scan. Little booger kept moving around too much.
Had an elective ultrasound tonight to let my daughter "meet" this little one. She kept jamming her face into the placenta so we couldn't get a very good look, but managed to get one creepy skeleton picture. But then after wiggling around for most of it, she crossed her ankles and hands and I think went to sleep. Such a lady! We go for our actual anatomy scan next week, but this was just a "for fun" one and we got to take home a little stuffy with a recording of her heartbeat inside that my daughter listened to the ENTIRE drive home.
Had my anatomy scan done today. Was very excited for it! They were not able to see some parts of the baby, like opened hand fingers etc and parts of the head so they rescheduled us to come back in two weeks. Also, they said baby is weighing more than expected. Due aug 1 but baby is weighing 1 lb and 1oz! 👶🏻
We had our anatomy scan today too! Little Miss was QUITE open about showing us she's a girl, but wouldn't let us see profile or heart so we'll be back in a month for that. Meanwhile she did give us one glance that makes her look like a nightmarish turtle, but my MIL pointed out we do (AFFECTIONATELY!) call her Gremmy, as in our little gremlin, soooo we probably should have expected this. 😂
anatomy scan went well - baby boy was so active and weighing 13 ounces. Wasn't able to get all views so have to go back in 4 weeks but it was so lovely to see him again and how big he's gotten!
Got the 20 week scan last week (21 weeks today) and it was so fun to see her more grown! Like others on this thread, I have to go back as she was moving too much and they couldn't get the nose / lip measurements.
Had my monthly checkin and dr wanted to show me arms and legs. The first pic is the frontal skull view, then legs, arms, and I can’t make out the last one haha but happy she printed extra for me
Thankful to God my son is healthy. On the smaller side though, supposedly in the 13% but the doctor wasn’t concerned. But my placenta is still covering my cervix so it’s still a “complete placenta previa”, but OB said there’s 50% chance it can still move so hopefully that happens! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m so happy I got to see my baby boy 💙 his hands are so cute!
We just had our 20w scan. Baby is perfect except for his heart. We are seeing a pediatric cardiologist tomorrow first thing and I’m so grateful to be at such a big hospital with excellent care. The MFM doctor didn’t give me a diagnosis but has a speculation. I didn’t even catch what it was but he mentioned surgeries. I’m so scared. I can handle anything as long as he is alive. Please pray for this baby. Here is his perfect profile.
@ccmrc143 I’m thinking of you and hope that whatever happens it is manageable for all of you. So sorry you are going through this scary and uncertain thing.
Wanted to share our second anatomy scan with everyone. This was really an amazing sight and somehow caught part of it in the photo. We were able to witness baby swallowing the fluid at least 5x!!! The baby’s mouth opened and closed and bubbles were forming from swallowing. You can kind of see the tiny bubbles near the mouth and baby’s hand is the round circular thing about the bubbles. Really amazing to witness.
So, we had our follow-up at MFM this morning, but the machine jammed, so no pictures. Booo.
They needed pictures of the right foot, jaw, and heart that they weren't able to get last time. This time they were able to get the foot and *some* of the heart, but not all. My children are very uncooperative in utero. Baby was head down and turned to the side, so bad angle for jaw and it apparently creates a lot of shadows and isn't the best angle for the heart. We go back, again, in 4 weeks. If they can't get them at that point, we go to pediatric cardiology. Seems to be a trend with my pregnancies that we end up there. I'll be over 28 weeks by then and possibly longer if we get a cardiology referral so I really hope we have more certainty by that point.
I'm just curious if I'm the only one who's partner has zero interest in going to see any ultrasounds? I mean, I can understand not wanting to go to all the appointments but I thought he might have some interest in the anatomy scan or the next one done at the specialist....where my Dr strongly recommended he go with me ( I guess in case I got bad news) which he didn't. Same way with baby number 1. I had hoped this pregnancy would be different and we'd get the chance to get out right this time but nope it's actually been worse.
@spottedheifer your not the only one, I think it’s pretty common. My partner doesn’t attend any of my other doctor’s appointments in life, so we both think it’s a little odd that it’s so encouraged for prenatal care. He did attend the anatomy scan for our first, but wasn’t interested this time. He said it was hard to tell what he was looking at (sounds like he was bored?)
Thanks for the replies. Makes me feel better to know it's not just my partner When I hear about so many other dads that want to go and be there at least for the ultrasound I think it'd be kind of weird for all the regular visits though.
@spottedheifer My husband isn’t even into the actual baby until the baby starts waking up and interacting more. Don’t get me wrong, the day his first child was born he cried like a baby but he just doesn’t know what to do with them and they are constantly attached to a boob in the beginning. He gets excited when they start smiling at him and he can interact more. So don’t be worried if your husband is the same.
Had our anatomy scan Friday and we got so many pictures of our little man. I was only disappointed because this is our last kiddo and the patient screen was broken, so I stared at a the ceiling for an hour. DH on the other hand had a front row seat to the techs screen. The tech did turn the screen at times and at the end so I could see a few things but I didn’t really get to see him move around and he was very wiggly! The tech thinks he got everything so I shouldn’t need a follow up. Glad things look good so far!
We found out we are having a baby boy! We are so excited to welcome another boy into our family! Well, my 4yo daughter is adjusting to the idea…everyone else is stoked! He likes keeping his hands up by his face, so it was tough to get photos of his face.
