Just had my Nuchal Translucency scan today, I’m 12w6. The scan is beautiful and mfm says baby looks perfect. It was a relief, but I’m still waiting on my NIPT results too
@bunniecee what company are you waiting on your NIPT results from? I sent my stuff in last week but the website says they're having processing delays right now. The company we're using is invitae... Last time they were really fast though, like under a week turn around time.
@caroduke I’m going through Natera. I got a text from the lab saying they were processing my sample officially on 10/17, even though it was drawn 10/12. Then they needed my insurance info a couple of days later, and I haven’t heard since then. I was really hoping to have the results already, so hoping to get them like any minute lol Every time my phone goes off now, I jump for it
Baby lookin good! We are measuring further along than we thought so they changed our due date to 5/12 (original 5/21). Just Waiting on nipt (natera) results now and I’ll breathe a little easier!
Nuchal translucency ultrasound today at 12w0d. Everything looks good and the little bebe moved around a bit for me! Now we’re just waiting on NIPT results from Natera. I took the test on 10/25 and just trying to practice patience. I had a dream last night that the test results said we’re having a boy… we’ll see!
Has anybody's sonographer had difficulty measuring for NT? Mine seemed to struggle to get a good measurement yesterday and then sort of waved it off saying it was all normal looking (baby was wiggly). I am awaiting NIPT, so perhaps NT will become less important within the next week, but this was not a totally reassuring US.
Mine said the baby had to be in a certain position to get a good measurement and my baby was very active. The sonographer was finally able to get one, but the NIPT is so much more accurate as a screening tool than the NT. They also look for a nasal bone during the NT as an indicator. Hope this helps!
14 week ultrasound. I’m not 100% convinced. Right before the ultrasound I asked the technician if we would be able to find the gender and she said it’s probably too early. Well towards the end of the appt, she asked if we wanted to know. And we said yes if she was sure of it. She said she was 95% sure. What do you think?!
I didn’t take a picture of our ultrasound pictures they are at my in-laws. But I got my NIPT results earlier than I thought and everything is fine 🙏🏻 and got our second confirmation of baby being a boy! I still don’t believe it. This pregnancy is our miracle and I still pinch myself. I am still high risk and monitored bi-monthly but taking every week as small victories.
As soon as I knew I was pregnant, my doctor had me come in to the lab for blood work to check the quantity of HCG (the baby makin' hormone).
I did this at least 3-4 times ( 1x weekly until my ultrasound appointment.) This allows you to see the HCG levels increasing and gives you the peace of mind to know its progressing.
I'm so sorry. This happened to me twice at the beginning of the year. I wish you the best and that you allow yourself the space to mourn.
If it gives any hope, we are now 20 weeks pregnant with our little boy. It may be a rocky start, but that's not the end of your story. And there are WAY more of us than you realize who know how it feels. ♡
Re: Ultrasound Thread
I’m not 100% convinced.
