I'm late to the party lol Due date is probably mid Jan, headed to the OB Thursday for the first time.
Found out because I got all the horrible symptoms from previous pregnancies and took a test.
About me: 2 older kids, left a 10 year marriage and survived the worst year of our lives. Reluctantly dipped a toe into dating again (lol the new dad has been one of my dearest friends since school and totally stepped up for the 3 of us, actually)... and OOPS here I am in the January birth month club. Stay tuned for an engagement announcement thread, too, haha
Symptoms: I have them all. My pregnancies are misery.
Introduce yourself: 3rd pregnancy, 1st time carrying this long. I'm 10w4d today
Due date: 1/15/23
How you found out: FRER day period was due.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 1 year old australian shepherd named Max, an almost 1 year old pit bull named Moana & 2 black cats (Cleo & KC). I sell car parts to body/repair shops. I'm also an herbalist and reiki practitioner. Husband and I have been married almost 3 years (anniversary is Halloween. we got married in Salem)
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? feeling okay. nauseous and constipated usually haha but happy to be here and lucky to be super supported.
I came here from another pregnancy app which I felt was not for me. hoping to make some friends and be supportive of one another through all of this! nice to meet you all

Due date: 01/14/2023
How you found out:
I couldn’t keep alcohol down and I intense hangovers that I’ve never had before. I tested the day after Mother’s Day and the test was the darkest positive I have ever seen, I was only “2 days late”.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
As I previously stated I have two sons, and I work for a student loan company, I like to shop , knit, create content for TikTok and YouTube, and spend time with my sons. My partner is so loving and caring he’s a cancer and he is also a sheriff from Memphis. Can you say “hawt”.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
Some days are better than others I have acid reflux and heartburn a lot, I am always hungry, I sleep a lot, and for the first time in pregnant I have acne… isn’t that weird?
Hi everyone! My name is Kelsea and this is my second pregnancy (miscarriage with my first). My husband and I are super excited this time with everything being so different like 24/7 morning sickness and such lol.
Due date: 01/20/2023
How you found out: I took a bunch of tests because I wasn’t feeling right and tada!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner My husband is a welder and I work at a family practice. We have been together almost 5 years. We have two fur sons. We spend a lot of time on his motorcycle and traveling with friends!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? So far so good. I had my first appt. I was incredibly sick for about three weeks. Unable to keep anything down. I got put on promethazine and it’s life changing lol! We had our first appt. A little worried because they mentioned nuchal thickness, I’m being sent to a specialist for further testing. But very excited and happy to see that our baby is incredibly active.
Thanks so much for the reply this gives me hope.. that it’s a girl 💕 I woke up this morning with a little more acne small and barely noticeable, but I know it there, ya know?
Hey! I am Catie and I live in NC! My estimated due date is 1/25/23 I am a first time Mom in my 30s and live with my husband of 3 years and my 6 year old red heeler mix. I am an occupational therapist and work in a hospital so am feeling some SI joint pain already!! I enjoy being outside- running and hiking with my dog, reading, and trying to get back into yoga- for the stretching! Also like snorkeling and traveling. I ended up finally getting COVID around week 7 that made me feel extra tired! But otherwise just have had some mild nausea that is relieved with burping (lol) and salty snacks. Also very bloated! Was not interested in sweets or coffee until this past week. We had been trying for about 4 months before something took so we are really excited- but also hasn’t really seemed real yet! Maybe during the next OB visit :)
Hello everyone and late to the game . My name is Irina and I live in San Diego, CA. I have a 3.5 year old daughter and this baby is estimated to arrive on 1/28/23, so 12 weeks exactly today, have a feeling it’s another girl due to sweets/fruit cravings. I had crazy nausea and headaches these past few weeks, but I think the nausea is slowly starting to subside. I really enjoy hiking outside and it actually makes me feel much better and have been an avid yogini even though I could not get myself to practice in first trimester, maybe soon.
Introduce yourself: My name is Ashleigh, I'm 23, Married for 13 months
Due date: 1/22/23
How you found out: I took an early test and it was faintly positive, waited a few days and it got darker.. ended up taking 12-13 test just to make sure it was a sticky baby because we had a chemical pregnancy in March at 5 weeks 😔
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We have an older son named Raiden that is 11 months old, his birthday is August 19th 🥰.. we have 1 dog that is staying with my mom because we live in a tiny upstairs apartment at the moment and she has a backyard.. we like to swim and eventually we'd like to travel 🧳.. my husband and I have been together 2.5 years married for a year and a month (yesterday)
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
Since I've hit the 2nd trimester my morning sickness has lessened a little bit as well as my food/smell aversions, which I'm so happy about Because those were horrible!
How you found out: took an at home test after trying for a while!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) One daughter, 3 yo. 3 dogs. 1 husband. I work from home and I do aerial circus arts so training during pregnancy is a goal but I have to be super aware of how I'm feeling.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Nervous! We had a miscarriage one year ago and the second baby hasn't been as easy as the first but I'm starting to feel more confident as the weeks go on. I'm equal parts excited to see my daughter become a big sister and nervous to have 2 kids.
How you found out: I was literally playing around with a hpt and it came out positive😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) *I have two other children, ages 4 & 2, 1 dog, 2 cats. I’m currently a SAHM and I love to bake! My husband and I have been married over 10 years. How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I’m in my 2nd trimester and am still sleepy. It may be because of the fact that I have smaller children to run after as well. Congratulations to all of you here!!
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone, I'm Annie and this is my third pregnancy. Entering week 22 - this is the first time my partner have gotten this far after two miscarriages.
Due date: 1 - 19 - 23
How you found out: Late period accompanied by a hunch
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) - Husband, dog and I have been a trio for 4 years and children were never something we wanted until we lost our baby girl last year and it became a huge hole. We decided to give it a go and try to get pregnant again. My partner is in oil and gas and I am a marketing analyst, our lives is filled with travel and music, we are both terrified and excited of what's coming next.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I want to be real with you, will try to articulate to my best ability - after two losses I was petrified of getting pregnant again, simply because it's such an unbearable pain to go through. Once we found out, I was at my docs office every week, making sure the baby is still there, the heart is beating and everything's going according to plan. I am not kidding - pretty much every week for 9 to 12 weeks. I feel a bit more chill now at 22 weeks but the fear is always there. Now that fear aside - I never felt overtly maternal nor I particularly like kids - I have a question for fellow mamas. Is it normal to feel detached from your baby? I read and hear about all these women spiritually connecting to their uterus and their baby as it grows inside of them and I just find that to be the most bonkers thing ever. I'm aware of baby's existence and definitely growth as my stomach stretches etc but do all of you can honestly say that you have that bond with your unborn already? Sidenote - everyone is unique and I would appreciate a discussion
How you found out: my monthly was 2 days late and I was pretty regular I figured it was time for a test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This is my first Pregnancy, I would like to go back into professional makeup artistry but I’ve been too sick
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? worst symptoms: nausea Excess saliva Extremely dry lips Food aversions But I’m extremely excited and January can’t come faster
Introduce yourself: Heyy my name is Aleigha aka Lei! I’m just now finding out about this platform and that stinks bc I’m almost due. I am 23 years old, married I’m in school and I work from home.
Due date: January 1st 2023
How you found out: I went to the doctors on Mother’s Day bc I was throwing up blood, they did a ultrasound and turns out I was 6 weeks pregnant!!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have an mini Australian shepherd mix. As I grew in my pregnancy the more he started giving me a rough time. He’s currently staying with my mom.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?: emotionally I feel ALONE. I feel like nobody understands what it feels like to be limited in a way. If I had a dollar for all the times someone told me just don’t stress think about the baby … I’d be rich. I’d like to be around women who understands the mental battles of being pregnant. As I move closer to the end of my pregnancy my blood pressure has been through the roof and my morning sickness hasn’t left my side since day one!!

Looks like someone's got a bun in the oven! Congrats on the first pregnancy and the recent nuptials. #babyontheway #newlyweds #pregnancystruggles
Goodevening, I am Ivy. I'm a stay at home mom to a child of 8. I have a spouse and I realized I've missed my period some 8 weeks back. I'm showing already with no usual pregnancy symptoms( vomiting, nauseous feeling and tiredness). Everytime I take the pregnancy test I become grievously ill into my 2nd trimester and I'm scared. I'm racking my brain on whether I should do the test or not. Every other symptom is here( tender breast and now light flutterings etc, this is my 4 pregnancy. I lost 3 with twins at 36wks so I'm being careful. Thank you for listening.
I am Paula. I am 52 married to a younger man who is 37. I found out last week that I am 8 weeks pregnant. I am due in October. I have 2 other adult daughters. My husband likes to tell everyone he got and older women pregnant
Thank you for introducing yourself and sharing your story. It sounds like you've been through a lot, and I admire your strength and resilience. Here are some thoughts and resources that might be helpful:
Understanding your feelings:
It's completely understandable to feel a mix of emotions right now, including excitement, cautious optimism, and anxiety. Your history of pregnancy loss makes these feelings even more complex. Allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling and don't judge yourself for it.
Talking to a therapist or counselor specializing in pregnancy after loss can be incredibly helpful in processing your emotions and developing coping mechanisms for anxiety.
Support resources:
SHARE Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support: nationalshare.org
March of Dimes: marchofdimes.org
American Society for Reproductive Medicine asrm.org
The National Council for Grieving Children & Families: nagging
Additional thoughts:
It's great that your initial prenatal tests looked good. Remember, every pregnancy is different, and this one could be very successful.
Be kind to yourself and listen to your body. Rest when you need to and don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor for any concerns.
Connect with other women who have experienced pregnancy loss and understand what you're going through. Online communities and support groups can be a valuable source of strength and understanding.
Remember, you're not alone in this. Many women experience pregnancy after loss, and there are resources available to support you throughout your journey.
Wishing you all the best for a healthy and happy pregnancy.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need further support.
