Introduce yourself: I am 32 and this is my first pregnancy. I’m in a LDR and we were planning to move in together this summer. This pregnancy was a big surprise!
Due date: 1/19/2023
How you found out: 5 days late, took a test. Positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): No other children, but I have 3 dogs and he has 3 cats, so this will be a full house! Right now I am focused on this move and getting settled over the next couple of months.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I was incredibly overwhelmed when I first found out, but my partner and immediate family have been so supportive. Physically, I have sore breasts and I am exhausted. Other than that, things are great!
Intro: I'm Laura, and I'm 31, about to turn 32. This is my second (confirmed) pregnancy. (I wonder if I had a couple early, missed miscarriages, but will never know). I have a 1 year old daughter, about to turn 2 in a few weeks. She's a handful, and I don't know how we'll manage with 2 tiny humans, especially if this one turns out as active as she is. She is so active and loves climbing and jumping.
DD: 1/7, but I expect to end up with gestational diabetes again this time, so the bean will likely be a December baby.
I found out when I took a home pregnancy test - I'm looking forward to the doctors appt next week to confirm.
How am I feeling: my sugar induced nausea has kicked in, so I'm going full cold turkey on sweets and anything with added sugar in a desperate attempt to keep morning sickness at bay. It's sort of working. I have a lot less cramping so far with this pregnancy than with my girl, which is good.
I also am just getting over covid, so am a little worried about any impact of that on the pregnancy. But I figure if bean has stuck around so far, we might make it all the way.
Introduce yourself: Hello, my name is Brandi! First time being pregnant.
Due date: 1/12/2023
How you found out: Took a couple of pregnancy tests.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have 4 very spoiled furbabies and a husband, who I’ve been married to for about 7 years now. We’re very outdoorsy and love to travel and go hiking, backpacking, camping, etc.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Not going to sugarcoat it, I had many emotions at first after seeing the positive sign on the tests. I have generalized anxiety and I’m very anxious/nervous but at the same time, I’m starting to feel more calm after each week. No major symptoms other than slight cramping, bloating, and exhaustion.
ETA: I posted this before I read the discussion about changing my username. Oof! 🤦🏻♀️ So sorry - it’s changed now!
Introduce yourself: Hey everyone! This is my first time posting on a forum like this. I’m nervous! This is my first pregnancy so everything’s still so new but I’m so excited and optimistic!
Due date: 1/19/2022 but my brother’s birthday is 1/9 so…yeah, there’s that possibility. :D
How you found out: I started getting cramps around the 9th but just assumed that it was PMS because I usually start around the 14th. May 19 came I still hadn’t started but was cramping (still am) every now and then (not nearly as intense as a period cramp but still noticeable). I took 3 tests and now I’m posting!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 28 years old. My husband and I recently celebrated 7 years married. We have a 1 year old dog named Manny and just bought our house last August. I’m a total nerd that loves astronomy, Japanese anime, and K-pop (looooong before it was “cool” or “interesting“) and I’m even learning Korean in the hopes of becoming a translator. My husband and I wanted a baby but admittedly, we weren’t actively trying at all! True surprise but the best one ever!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Cramping (dull, pulling variety), sore boobs, slight nausea, pure exhaustion and LOTS of anxiety! :)
Introduce yourself: my name is heather! I’m 31 years old and am a physical therapist. This is my first pregnancy.
Due date:1/26ish
How you found out: I was about to go on vacation and just had a random feeling to test before drinking on a 5 day vacation. I tested at 3 weeks and had 5 positives! Came back from vacation, and tested again with the same result.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am in NC, husband is military this will be our first child. We love to travel and be outdoors, we have 2 dogs and 2 cats!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Honestly, this week feeling good, thirst roll into week five and expect this may change, having some digestive issues, acid reflux, fatigue, sore breast, been super hungry and peeing literally ALL THE TIME! 🥲
Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm Katie. I'm 35, will be 36 by the time the baby comes. This is my first confirmed pregnancy.
Due date: 1/11ish
How you found out: We'd been trying for about a year and I was tracking my temperature and all that jazz. Period seemed to be a few days late and I took a test, then did 4 more in the morning.
Tell us about yourself: I'm from the US but have lived in Bogotá, Colombia the past 10 years with my husband, who's from here. Big city, teeny tiny apartment without so much as a nook or spare drawer for a baby! We'd like to move to the US in the near future. Love to read, dance, work out, watch movies, and cook. I work from home as a freelance translator and editor.
How are you feeling: Tomorrow will be 7 weeks and really no symptoms at all outside of the odd prickle, twinge, or very mild and fleeting cramp. I kind of wish I had something just to make it feel real and reassure my nerves, though I know I'll be hating myself for thinking that once they show up with a vengeance. Emotionally, pretty good. I don't have any mom friends here, though, so I'm a bit worried about that ... guess I have till January to scout around for some. For that and many other reasons, I'm really enjoying this group!
How you found out: kind of a crazy story. So I did a fertility treatment in March that had “failed” as I got my progesterone tested twice both which said I’d don’t ovulate. I also got a negative pregnancy test on April 26th so I started birth control in order to start another fertility treatment cycle. As I was waiting for my withdrawal bleed I started feeling super nauseous and nothing tasted good. I thought I’d just take a test in case and as soon as I peed on my cheaper HCG strip the control line was WAY darker than the test line. So then I took a clear blue and it’s said 3+ weeks. I just got my betaHCG back and it’s at 33250 so likely 4/5 weeks along. So yeah I somehow got pregnant between fertility treatment cycles while on birth control. 🤯
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a son that is almost 18 months old that I am still breastfeeding and who was conceived with fertility treatment! I have one 3 year old bichon/Maltese puppy that was my first baby and my husband and I have been together since we were 15 years old and have been married for 4 years now! I am a registered nurse currently got a new job working in my community which has been amazing! And I am a certified yoga instructor which is my main hobby!
Overall I am just so shocked and excited to be here.
Introduce yourself: I'm 35 and my husband and I have been trying since Feb 2021 (was hoping we would get pregnant right away and end up giving birth before my 35th birthday in Dec 2021)
Due date: Jan 24 - found out today she will be an aquarius baby with garnet as her birthstone ❤️
How you found out: We went through an IVF cycle so we found out over the phone from our doctor but I did sneak a test in the day before we were supposed to find out cause I wanted to surprised my husband but I ended up not figuring out a clever way to tell him before our doctor called
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have a noisy long haired Chihuahua, Mochi, that loves to bite toes (concerned about this for when baby arrives). I work in pharmaceutical clinical research and my husband and I are gamers on our off time. I also like doing all kinds of arts and crafts as well as gardening.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I wasn't feeling emotional when we went through the IVF cycle, but I did cry randomly and got upset with my husband once after our egg transfer - I'm blaming the hormones since the last time I got upset with him was at least a couple of years ago. I was concerned last week (w4-5) thinking we might have done something wrong and our little egg was in danger, but our ultrasound visit today eased those concerns a bit! Fingers crossed for the hCG results later today!
Introduce yourself: Hello! I’m 36 and this is the first confirmed pregnancy with an ultrasound! Have had two prior but didn’t get past the first ultrasound so praying we continue to have good news. 🌈
Due date: 1/11
How you found out: Took a test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 1 spoiled GSD, no other kids. Love to hike and trying my hand at gardening recently.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I was beyond nervous for the first scan today due to bad news in the past but we had a great scan and the doctor is pleased! Right on schedule-this helped calm my nerves but they will always be there as we cross milestones.
Introduce yourself: I am a 34 year old first time mom
Due date: 1/8/2023 ish
How you found out: at home pregnancy test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a researcher and study linguistics. My husband and I have 2 super cute Yorkies. We love to play board games
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Physically, I’ve been feeling terrible, especially this week. Until this week, it’s just been really intense heart burn and fatigue, but the nausea and vomiting hit this week and it’s been rough. I’m so tired and I feel both ravenously hungry and repulsed by food. Emotionally though I think I’m maybe starting to feel excited! (I’ve been very worried about a MC and have had a hard time letting myself get excited)
Tell us about yourself: I am married with 1 daughter who's 3. We have 2 St. Lucia rescue pups (Potcakes) I'm a planner/urban designer and I also have a custom cake business on the side.
How are you feeling: Pretty calm for the most part....morning sickness has started (yay?!)
Hi Mel! It’s not letting me tag you (so I hope you see this), but I’m an urban planner too!!! Actually an urban planning professor now, but I worked “in the field” before my PhD. I do transportation and health stuff. What about you? Small world!
How you found out: AF is the only punctual thing about me, but she was a no show! BFN on 1st late day... finally BFP on 10th day I was late.
Tell us about yourself: I'm in a LTR - we'll be a blended family. I have identical boys and SO has a DS and DD.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Tender BBs & my lower abdomen feels heavy, or full. Not sure the significance of this (if any?) and I'm extremely TIRED.
Introduce yourself: Hi! This is my second pregnancy, with my first ending in miscarriage on Christmas day 2019.
Due date: 1/12/23
How you found out: i was a few days late after a weekend away with friends so I took a test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am an Insurance agent in MI. I have been married for 5 years, and we have a mini golden doodle named Tiramisu
How are you feeling (any symptoms) I am mostly just tired all the time. I am also starting to get some interesting food cravings like pickle pizza. I am emotionally going through a rollercoaster. I had some light spotting last week, but went in and got more blood work and an ultrasound the same day. Everything is measuring as it should and blood work came back excellent! I am already farther along based on my ultrasound than I was before which is very comforting. I am so excited and cautiously optimistic!
US scheduled for May 31 (Tuesday). I'll be 6 or 7 wks (I avg 35 day cycles). I have 4 kids (21, 18, 11, 8) and I'm 40, and my husband has 2 kids (20 & 22). We also have twin 2yo granddaughters. This is a huge surprise and blessing.
How you found out: I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last weekend. I knew I was late but didn’t think much of it. Since I knew we’d be drinking mimosas in the bridal suite, I took a test just to be sure and sure enough!! A week and a half later, I started having some spotting… ended up in the ER and they ran some tests to make sure it’s not ectopic. We ended up with another surprise… TWO fetal sacs…
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in higher education. My partner works in tech. We have two kids - a 5 year old and a 9 month old.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Really freaking overwhelmed and excited all at the same time. Also still scared if MC - I’ve suffered two before.
How you found out: took an early test before we left for vacation
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 34, my fiancé and I have been together almost 15 years. We recently decided to start TTC and it happened much quicker than we were expecting, only took 1 cycle of trying! I’m an RN and he works in finance.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Ecstatic!! We are over the moon! A little nervous but who wouldn’t be? So far my only symptoms are breast tenderness and growth and the fatigue has started to set it in full force.
Introduce yourself: Just turned 36. This is baby #5, very unexpected.
Due date: End of January, unsure of exact due date.
How you found out: I was feeling super emotional about the way someone responded to something, and my coworker asked if I was expecting my period soon. Took a test on the fly, not expecting it to be positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) we have 8, 5, 3, 17 month old kiddos. Boy, girl, boy, girl.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally) I am feeling super emotional. I got accepted to the program of my dream career on Monday, and a positive pregnancy test on Tuesday. Working it out emotionally. I know it will be ok, but also grieving plans that will just be postponed. :-)
Introduce yourself: I’m a nurse! I have two kiddos already- daughter who’s twelve and my son who will be 3 in a few days. Married to my sweet hubby. We had a miscarriage a few months ago, so this is our 🌈
Due date: Jan 20/22
How you found out: I just travelled home from a work trip from Toronto. Became deathly I’ll (gastro) then realized I was late. Took a test while at work and got a BFP!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I guess I kinda did that up there already! Haha met my hubby on tinder! We have a pooch named Tucker!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally) I am beyond nervous. I’m still testing daily despite knowing that I’m pregnant. I did a blood test to confirm, but because of my loss, my anxiety gets the best of me and the only way to relieve it is by testing.
How you found out: Fertility clinic just got my 2nd beta hcg back today and the numbers are good!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) No children, been ttc for 8 years, the last 5 or so through ivf. I have had 3 ectopic pregnancies, 2 miscarriages, a chemical pregnancy, and an embryo transfer that didn’t take. I am cautiously optimistic about this pregnancy because I had my tubes out to prevent any future ectopics and this is my last shot! I live with my wonderful husband and our 15 year old dog.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Some heartburn, a little bit from nausea once and a while, and super tired. Emotionally, just nervous. 🤞🏻
Introduce yourself: I'm a 36 years first time mom.
Due date: 1/30/2023
How you found out: My cat came and lay down on my belly which he never does. This was very unusual and it made me suspect something. A week later, my period didn't arrive so I took a test and it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Hubby and I have a cat.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? No major symptoms as of yet. But going through a whole range of emotions: happy, scared, worried, etc.
Introduce yourself: Hi! First-time mom living in Denver.
Due date: 1/27/2023
How you found out: Took an early test the day before my missed period and it was positive! Took a few more over the next week.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I just got married in September but have been together since Feb 2015. We live with our German Shepherd, Lola who is five and our only “child” at the moment. I’m a high school science teacher! Actually pretty nervous about maternity leave… any fellow teachers have recommendations as to when to tell my principle and how to set up a sub??
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?: Only symptoms right now are sore breasts and I get out of breath a lot quicker when I work out. And I fall asleep watching TV at like 7 every night haha. Emotionally, I’m very excited! Just nervous and anxious when it comes to my work and taking maternity leave mid-year.
Hi @knottie, I am from the December group and an engineering teacher in Mass. For maternity leave, I told my department chair and assistant head of school early (around week 6) because as we are going through the interview process for science position openings for SY 2023, we are also making a list of potential candidates that might be a good fit if we do not offer them a position for full time next year.
Introduce yourself: first time mom, office manager and part time artist!
Due date: 1/25/23
How you found out: took a test 5 days before missed period!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) hubby and I have been married for 3 years. We have 2 fur babies - a cat and a dog! we have been trying for a year and half without any success and then had an IUI to get this little peanut.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? feeling tired and have some hunger pangs in the morning but other than that pretty good! have not been sick or anything (unless I don’t feed the hunger beast in the morning)
Hi knottie! Please change your username to something unique to we can get to know you better! You can find out how in the “if you have a knottie username” thread
Introduce yourself: Alyona, live in South Lake Tahoe, first timer
Due date: 1/25/2023 - also my moms bday
How you found out: i felt it. Tinder breasts were different from regular PMS, so decided to do a test coming to long Memorial Party weekend - and here we come.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): work as Senior Fin Analyst in Disney, have a puppy corgi named Potato. I love yoga, walking to the lake and taking long baths
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I am very excited, but also nervous. Even though I was ready and wanted this to happen, it happened from a first try and I was very surprised. Talking to women and learning that there are so many outcomes that can happen, especially early on, I am just trying to enjoy this every day and not think of the bad, but be prepared for anything. Can’t wait to se my doctor at 10 weeks. That will be very comforting
Introduce yourself: Sara, been on and off TB since 2017 when we started trying for our first. This pregnancy and DS were via IVF.
Due date: 1/22/23
How you found out: Home test at 4dp5dt
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 40, a SAHM currently to our almost 3 year old son. Old married cis-het lady. I’m a lawyer but not practicing right now.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Optimistic at this very moment, we saw our little embryo looking great yesterday and will be going weekly to the RE until I graduate. I’m in therapy and on meds (see below) which is helping.
***TW loss Before we did IVF and was able to have DS, I had four first trimester miscarriages. Last year we transferred for a sibling and the single embryo split into mo/di twin girls. The pregnancy was complicated, high risk, and traumatic. I basically lived at doctor’s appointments until 17.5 weeks when we lost both twins. I’ve had a ton of additional testing for possible blood clotting disorders and am on Lovenox this pregnancy.
Introduce yourself: hii I am so excited to join the community. 1st time posting. I’m a 23 yr old, surprise pregnacy, 1st time pregnant ever!! Fingers crossed, and at the best point in my life so I am so ready for this
Due date: January 23, 2023
How you found out: Well I was waiting for my period and it never came. I’ve been through this before, where I fall into the pregnacy dellusions and get my homes up that I’m pregnant only to get my period. So this time I kept saying, no way, I doubt I’m really pregnant. Plus my stomach seemed unsettled with cramping just like when my menstrual is coming on. So 3 days of missed periods, I take a test with my bf as a joke. While it’s still loading (digital test) I grab it and gasp as a joke to him, but by the time I show it to him pregnant had loaded on the screen. There were so many emotions we couldn’t believe it, a lot of tears. But overall we settled into an excitement and happiness about the whole situation.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) No children, 1st child. I do have a 2 yr old Labrador, plus 3 cats, chickens, ducks and recently 3 baby ducks. I find it hard juggling all the animals that need to be taken care of and I worry when baby comes it will be so overwhelming. Because when you have a baby, life doesn’t stop, there’s still dinner to make and cleaning to do, same amount of time in each day. Currently a CNA and was studying to get into nursing school, but this pregnacy has made me rethink what my future will look like and what’s actually doable. Bf is amazing so supportive, he’s 36 and most amazing guy I know. Couldn’t be more blessed right now.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Veryyyyy tired. Wanting to sleep all morning and nap during the day. Sometimes nauseous, still trying to figure out if it’s a symptom or just a harsh vitamin. Zinc has always made me feel gross. Also I’ve noticed my muscles feel a little sore. Cramping in lower stomach, gas bloating. Most cervical mucus and just more in a lovely dovey mood.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m 37, stay at home mom. My son just turned 3 in May. Assuming everything goes well with this pregnancy, this will be our second child.
Due date: 01/17/23
How you found out: Testing, testing and more testing.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a very active 3 year old son, no pets at the moment but some day once our life calms down a bit we’d like a dog. I used to be a visual effects artist, but now I’m just a stay at home mom.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Physically I feel fine, but emotionally this pregnancy has been a roller coaster. I’ve had three prior MMCs, the most recent being last February. I had a huge scare with lots of bleeding last Thursday but my Ultrasound yesterday showed a strong healthy heartbeat. OB diagnosed a subchorionic hemorrhage, so I’m going back in two weeks for another ultrasound to see how things are progressing. Lots of anxiety but trying to stay optimistic.
Introduce yourself: I’m Leslie, 33 from outside Charlotte, NC. This is my second pregnancy after a MMC in Feb.
Due date: January 12th
How you found out: Longer story.. We were trying after the MMC but my husband lost his job so we decided to hold off. I hadn’t gotten my period in April but tested negative 3 times. I was worried something went wrong after the D&C so I scheduled an appointment. Ended up taking a test the day before Mother’s Day (3 days before my appointment) and to my surprise it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married almost 2 years and have one fur baby. I work from home and am in marketing/web design.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Symptoms: Off and on nausea, tired all the time and super bloated. Emotionally: Very cautiously excited! I told my parents and sister on Mother’s Day but we waited to tell the in laws since my MIL told people last time after we asked her not to then I ended up with a stranger to me hugging me and talking to me about MCs 3 days after surgery at my FILs bday party… needless to say my husband and I were super upset. But we ended up telling them recently and since they’ve been all over my husband about jobs, their reaction was not what we wanted but what we expected… “oh!” Long pause.. “that’s excited!” I just don’t really know how to navigate moving forward cause I’m so close with my family and don’t want to push her away but don’t want her judging.
Anyways, sorry for the rant but I’m excited to be in the group!!
Introduce yourself: Hi there! Joining these boards for the first time, second pregnancy but hopefully first baby I’ll get to take home! (TW - mentions loss below)
Due date: 1/27/23
How you found out: betas at 15dpo after our 4th IUI cycle
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My DH and I have been married 4.5 years and cannot wait to start a family. DH works in tech and I work in healthcare and we have a spunky little kitty cat at home. We started trying in 2020, and sadly had a MMC in early 2021. After several months of trying, we ended up seeing an RE and diagnosed with multiple male factor infertility. 4 IUIs later, we got a sticky little babe, and I’m hoping this one stays with me!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Anxious!! Having had a loss before robs some of the joy this time around. I had pretty regular nausea early on, but have been feeling pretty good weeks 5-6. My boobs are super sore, I’m congested all the time, and definitely napping more often, but otherwise I don’t “feel” pregnant yet. Counting days to my first scan!
Due date: January 24 (that could changed, my first appointment isn't until the 22nd)
How you found out: My sister was eating something and it made me so sick. Smells don't really do that, I decided to look at my calendar and realized I was almost 2 weeks late so decided to take a test the next day. It came back positive instantly.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have two daughters ( 23yo and 19yo), also have our first grandbaby due in Aug. So to say we are shocked is an understatement. We also have 5 dogs. My husband is a mechanical engineer and I am an accountant for a plumbing company
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Emotionally after the initial shock we are so excited. Systems my breast are way more sore than they were when I was pregnant years ago, super tired, and the oddest things make me feel sick. Besides that feeling pretty good.
Introduce yourself: Second Pregnancy (miscarriage 1st time, 9 months ago)
Due Date: January 25th 2023 (I think! 1st dr appt. in a few days)
How you found out: My husband knew more than a week before I missed my period & tested. He says because he asked what I wanted for dinner and I actually answered for once.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’ve been married about 3.5 years. Two doggos in the house already. I work as a contractor/freelance in video production, so easy enough to decline work once I need to since we don’t depend on my income. We don’t really have friends and family nearby so I’m grateful to be in a position to simply stay home once a baby is here.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Feeling pretty miserable if I’m honest! I have pre-existing digestive problems that I didn’t have a handle on (was being treated for acid reflux but still having symptoms despite diet change and medication). I’m very worried that there is an underlying problem that morning sickness is exacerbating. Trying not to think too much until my first appointment coming up soon, but I also have anxiety disorder that is not nearly as controlled as it was 7 weeks ago :( feeling very lonely & isolated as no one on my circle really understands pregnancy firsthand. Really hoping for some answers and reassurance from my dr soon.
Introduce yourself: joining after lurking for a few weeks : ) this is my second bmb
Due date: Jan 31st, caboose of the group
How you found out: I'd been testing starting at 8dpo for months
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This will be my second child, married ten years, work as an engineer, I run a lot, and enjoy gardening.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? A little run down, nauseous, and yet still excited.
Introduce yourself: I've been holding off on introducing myself because I'm coming off of two losses and a chemical, but we saw a healthy heartbeat today and I'm letting myself feel hopeful.
Due date: January 30 but I will deliver at least a week early because I have a history of preeclampsia and will have a scheduled c-section
How you found out: I tested 9, 10, and 11 DPO and all were negative, so I assumed this was another month without any luck. Then a few weeks later I realized I'd never actually gotten my period and checked again, immediate positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I moved to Connecticut last summer after living in New York City for 25 years. Now I live in the woods and although I miss the city it has its own charm. My husband and I have a nearly 6yo son and a 3.5yo daughter.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I'm nauseated this time around, which gave me some concern because I'd only ever had morning sickness with one of my past losses. My successful pregnancies have come with very symptom-free first trimesters. But fingers crossed it seems like everything is fine. Other than that I'm just very very tired but that's normal!
Re: Introductions
Due date: Estimated January 18th ish 2023
@tryingktogku congratulations! I’m sure you understand the discussion about what’s considered “benched” a little better now 😉
Due date: Jan 24 - found out today she will be an aquarius baby with garnet as her birthstone ❤️
Due date: 1/11
How you found out: Took a test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
1 spoiled GSD, no other kids.
I'm Victoria. 32yo.
5w3d - 3rd pregnancy:
1st pregnancy, molar pregnancy
2nd pregnancy, identical twins 2014

Tell us about yourself: I'm in a LTR - we'll be a blended family. I have identical boys and SO has a DS and DD.

Due date: 1/25/23
Due date: Jan 31
Good luck everyone!
Due date: 1/30/2023
How you found out:
My cat came and lay down on my belly which he never does. This was very unusual and it made me suspect something. A week later, my period didn't arrive so I took a test and it was positive.
Hubby and I have a cat.
No major symptoms as of yet. But going through a whole range of emotions: happy, scared, worried, etc.
***TW loss
Before we did IVF and was able to have DS, I had four first trimester miscarriages.
Spouse/partner?)
No children, 1st child.
Spouse/partner?)
My husband and I have been married almost 2 years and have one fur baby.
Spouse/partner?)
I’ve been married about 3.5 years.
Due date: January 30
How you found out: took a test on the day of my missed period
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I’m a marriage and family therapist in Colorado! My husband and i have a 2 and a half year old son. I love to bake and read :)
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Nervous after a miscarriage in March! Other than that, exhausted and sick!
