@darkrose88, yes! I loved those jeans on while standing, and actually thought they were very flattering, but they moved right off my butt as soon as I tried to sit down. So disappointing! And because of that, I am team belly band... Or at least non low rise.
And also surprised by Abercrombie! We had a gift card to them leftover from years ago, and I finally spent it last year on a sweater. Other than it arriving smelling like the store, it's a great sweater and made me think about buying more clothes from them.
Anybody know of any stores that have maternity clothes in store besides Target and Walmart? Going shopping this weekend and want to look at some things in person. We don’t live in a super big town but we do have some things like Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, etc. and a few other mall stores
@tmartin014 our Kohl's only had one small rack of maternity clothes, and pretty picked over. I lucked out and found a pair of jeans that fit me perfectly. At least now that I know the size, if I want more, maybe I'll check online for the same brand but different style. I don't want much, but I'd like to round out what I have to 3 pairs, one flair, one straight/skinny, and one black straight/skinny.
@wigglyicecream@fromfurmomtobabymom8-2@mdfarmchick thank you! We don’t have a Macy’s but I may check Dillard’s. I’m looking for a top to wear for our gender reveal so I may be able to get away with a regular top that has some room
I honestly just had some very good luck at Ross of all places. I don’t think I’ve been in there in ten years. They had more than Kohl’s and Target combined. TJ Maxx didn’t have a maternity section at all.
For anyone who has to go into the office, I just got some really great work pants at old navy for $40. They have a side panel and full panel version. Very happy with them, good fabric and look professional.
So surprised about Abercrombie too. I didn’t even realize they were still around.
I just ordered a bunch from ASOS. It’s normally so hit or miss quality/fit wise, but it’s the only place I saw styles I’d actually want to wear in the summer. Fingers crossed.
@dimeadozen oh no no no. Lol. The target pants with the side panels. But I definitely always recommend Poshmark! There really are some great deals on there!
I'm in need of maternity dresses for the 7 weddings I have before baby is due. Any suggestions? One is a black tie, so I will need a long dress for that. The only thing I can think of/find is maternity bridesmaid dresses, but I don't want to look like I'm in the wedding!
@brittanynmorris I know @paytonpedro has mentioned Poshmark several times for maternity clothes and I'm 100% in agreement! Especially for a black tie dress. Pink Blush always has a cute selection of dresses that would be appropriate for a wedding.
I’m waiting on a dress from Pink Blush for a wedding I’m attending in a few weeks. I ordered one from them already that I’m returning because it’s too frumpy looking so hopefully this next one works!
I dont know if anyone has asked this yet but has anyone else and an issue with maternity pants sagging? My regular jeans were getting too tight to wear so I made the switch to the maternity jeans with the built-in belly band. I got a size large figuring I'm going to be getting bigger so better to have room to expand. However, they are very comfy but still a little baggy and I'm costly having to hike them up. I got them at Walmart because I needed something quickly. They aren't the adjustable kind. I'm on "ample side" so anything tight is a no-go.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use to keep them up? I tried folding down the belly band but that didn't help. There's nothing I could loop a belt on but so far that seems like the only solution. I do plan on getting another pair or 2 eventually but I'm waiting until I've got a good size belly goin.
Also any store/brand suggestions for pants would be great. Any fit but skinny!
@tmartin014 if you aren’t opposed to second hand Goodwill always has a small maternity section. I’ve found some decent stuff there in the past.

@brittanynmorris Hey! I just got a standard sized maternity from Azazie yesterday! It fits well right now with room for a tummy, but I am sizing up one more so that the empire waist has wiggle room for expanding ribs. I’m a bridesmaid and will wear it at 7 months pregnant. Their standard sizes have free returns (and sometimes a restocking fee)
This is me holding a towel under the waist to get a feel for how it’ll look closer to the wedding. There are custom sizes available as well, but they are not returnable. You can order a try-at-home standard size for $10. I personally would order sooner in a standard size and decide if you think you will like the fit with a bump. Then make sure there’s some room to grow. You can get extra yardage for alterations too!!
I have also heard Rent The Runway is amazing! A non pregnant friend said she has so much trouble finding dresses she likes that fit. She ordered a few for a formal Christmas party and she said they ALL fit and she loveddd three of them on her. I believe they have maternity options. With that many weddings, renting may be a good option.
Have fun and good luck with all those weddings! My husband and I were in and/or attending with me making/catering the wedding cakes & charcuterie boards/doing floral arrangements at 4 friends’ weddings last summer, and it sure was a lot! Weddings are so special though! I’m glad I only have my best friend’s this summer though!🥰
I have had great luck with rent the runway for non maternity dresses. I have a wedding to attend in June that I will definitely be looking there again.
I got this dress for the wedding I’m going to next month and I think I’m going to keep it. It makes my boobs look gigantic though. Or, even more gigantic than they actually are.

I haven’t been there in years but I’ve heard good things about them lately!
@mangoandguava preciousssss!!! Love that!

I don't know what their selection of maternity dresses are but you can customize your size according to your proportions. Fairly inexpensive too.
