@aukeev I got my maternity undies from VS and after finally having worn them, they’re great! Idk if they’re any better than any other brand, and I surely wouldn’t pay full price ($12-15/pair) but I love that VS finally acknowledged that even pregnant woman deserve to feel beautiful!
@paytonpedro I looked on the VS site and they are only showing the period panties under the maternity section, nothing labeled as maternity. Is that what you got?
Has anybody been able to find maternity pajama pants that are really just super lower rise pajama pants? I wore normal pajama pants for my first two pregnancies, but one got old and now I'm down to just one pair and I want a second pair. Problem is, I don't want *anything* touching my belly (discomfort), and since that is the style that's all I can find!
@paytonpedro thanks for sharing the link! I decided to order a few because my current undies aren't cutting it. I would not have paid the original price of $25 per pair. That's outrageous.

I thought I would add to this forum! I haven't purchased any maternity clothing yet, but I am a Stitch Fix user and if others use Stitch Fix, you can sign up for maternity clothing in your style profile. I'm getting some in my next fix and I'm excited to try before I buy! Especially the jeans!
UO: I think full panel maternity jeans are the worst! I owned at least one pair from my previous pregnancy, and I hated them. I think it is because I naturally have a big butt, and the jeans were cut so low it would not stay over my rear end. I had to constantly pull them up... and I looked like I had a saggy crotch I ended up getting two pairs of side panel jeans and they fit so much better. FYI - I don't have this issue with full panel leggings, or lighter materials... just with jeans lol.
@darkrose88 I can't stand full panel on anything. It's very uncomfortable to have something pressing on the bump like that. I make an exception for workout gear, because there is just no alternative, and it's only for an hour, I don't have to wear it all day.
Related: why don't they make suspenders especially for preggos? All pregnancy pants sag, they should make some kind of invisible suspender for under clothing to keep them up!
@maggiemadeit i got what i think are the cutest, black denim overalls from h&m with my pregnancy in 2019. i will also echo, i liked my full panel work pants but preferred side panel jeans. i'll just be glad when it warms up to wear dresses
@anniemarie887 I liked my full panel work pants and had zero issues with them - only with the jeans. I am fully remote now so have zero reason to wear work pants this go around. I live in leggings nowadays. Although, I'm jealous of those overalls - I'd totally buy some to wear if my social life didn't mostly consistent of hanging out with the fam at home after work.
@maggiemadeit I'm fine with full panel, as long as it isn't super tight, but I generally prefer under the bump pants and longer shirts. The problem is under the bump isn't as popular so it harder to find. Suspenders for pregnant women would 100% make my life so much easier. I could actually wear pants without the sag.
So maybe the UO here is that I love my full panel jeans. But I also have no butt. The stretchy waist ones just gave me a stomach ache. I’ve never tried the side panel ones but I have no butt to hold them up and I’m nervous they would also give me a stomach ache.
So apparently they DO make preggo suspenders, except they connect your pants to your bra instead of over the shoulder. Not sure if my bras have the structural integrity to hold up a pair of pants, but I might give it a go...
@brittanynmorris I use stitch fix too! LOVE IT. They do have maternity clothes. Just got some in my last box! Super good quality and adorable.
I just filled my cart on SHEIN with maternity clothes. Probably gonna order it sometime this week after I decide what I actually want/need. Great prices and I usually like their stuff so I have high hopes. Right now I just want loose tops for lounging/sleeping and some comfy pants.
@maggiemadeit yeah I'll probably pass on those. I've been mostly wearing wireless bras and they don't have the support to pull up my full panel jeans. I can see it now - me walking around with both saggy boobs and saggy jeans. 😂
I love these $12-$15 lounge pants. The string has always come out in the laundry, but now I just take them out to start with. They get even softer after a wash or two as well. They are my absolute favorites right now and I’m about to buy more. They can sit below the belly, but it’s a fairly thin, soft material that doesn’t have elastic. I wear my normal size and it sits just right! Having something that feels like nothing is against my belly is a winner. Planning to use these under the bump throughout!!
Also Walmart had amazing SUPER soft $6 Maternity Tees and $13 Bodycon maternity dresses! Win!!
I work from home these days, so I won’t be buying too many dressy things. But I have already purchased some h&m maternity sweaters. I like them because you can also wear them when you aren’t pregnant, they don’t have the ruching on the sides. I purchased two pairs of low maternity band jeans and two pairs of maternity leggings. I am already fitting in maternity because I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and then got pregnant right after 🙃 so I feel like I’ve looked 12 weeks pregnant for the last 3 months lol. With my last pregnancy, I was stressing out about avoiding maternity clothes and just trying to buy the next size up. This pregnancy I am trying to be more gentle with myself. I know this won’t be my last pregnancy so whatever I buy will get use. Poshmark has been a great source for me too. The belly band is a lifesaver for extending the life of the Jeans that still fit.
I just picked up a couple things online at old navy - mostly leggings because I’m so uncomfortable in regular pants right now. They have some pretty good prices. I think I got 5 things for $50
@and_peggy I also just did some online shopping, but at kohl’s lol. I got 2 full panel pairs of leggings (but the do sell below the belly ones for the ladies who were looking!!) and 2 tank tops. I probably really don’t need anything else.
@anniemarie887 thanks for the rec! I have my eye on a navy suit that I may spring for.
Has anyone tried Levi's "baby bump" style of maternity jeans? Apparently they are for early pregnancy and postpartum. My jeans are getting wayyy uncomfortable (and they're getting pretty worn, tbh), so I just ordered two sizes in the Levi's through Amazon's try before you buy program to see how they fit.
@onlygooddays08 In my experience with maternity clothes, it's either full-panel (once you have a bump big enough to hold it up) or under the belly. Those half panel and "transitional" clothes cut right in the middle of the belly and are *so* uncomfortable. Right now I'm living in my favorite Old Navy maternity yoga pants that go under and can unfold to become full panel (I got them seven years ago - I'm sure they don't exist anymore) and under-belly leggings for when I need to go to work.
Just wanted to share that Madewell has a denim sale on right now - a friend said she loved their maternity jeans so I bought a pair to try (though haven’t tried them yet, so can’t personally recommend). Also gap has 40% of regular price items - I think I saw someone say they liked their maternity jeans as well.
I will let you know as soon as I get it in the mail! It all had good reviews!
Although is still might seem a little early to get maternity clothes for some, lots of places are having decent (and actual) sales right now!
On a related side note, Carter’s is having a huge REAL sale! They advertise all kinds of sales throughout the year but they’re all BS and not actually any different than any other day of the year. There are actual real markdowns right now!
I bought online because we still are in quarantine. I’m not actually sure if I’ll wear it for the wedding or want something fancier but I think it’s an outdoor wedding in south texas in July so. I’ll take a picture when it comes in!
@and_peggy it's so beautiful! My identical twin cousin (she and I have looked identical since birth, even have the same glasses prescription, so weird!) is getting married August 5. With twins the dr said I could go a couple of weeks early, and thst puts me right around that date. I'm scared to shop for a dress just yet! 😆
@and_peggy I love it! I always envy women who can pull off floral since I never wear floral prints bc I feel it doesnt compliment my tattoos or general demeanor.
Re: Product Spotlight: Maternity Clothes
also I just left jackets open and had no issues with my first.
