@darkrose88, yes! I loved those jeans on while standing, and actually thought they were very flattering, but they moved right off my butt as soon as I tried to sit down. So disappointing! And because of that, I am team belly band... Or at least non low rise.

And also surprised by Abercrombie! We had a gift card to them leftover from years ago, and I finally spent it last year on a sweater. Other than it arriving smelling like the store, it's a great sweater and made me think about buying more clothes from them.

  • awww Abercrombie grew up with us! Lol
I haven’t been there in years but I’ve heard good things about them lately!
  • @dimeadozen omg I cannot believe Abercrombie has maternity clothes 😳 Now I want to go shopping
  • Anybody know of any stores that have maternity clothes in store besides Target and Walmart? Going shopping this weekend and want to look at some things in person. We don’t live in a super big town but we do have some things like Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, etc. and a few other mall stores
  • @mdfarmchick to my knowledge only target, Walmart and maybe kohls has in store clothes. I haven’t seen anything else in the stores
  • @tmartin014 our Kohl's only had one small rack of maternity clothes, and pretty picked over. I lucked out and found a pair of jeans that fit me perfectly. At least now that I know the size, if I want more, maybe I'll check online for the same brand but different style. I don't want much, but I'd like to round out what I have to 3 pairs, one flair, one straight/skinny, and one black straight/skinny.
  • @tmartin014 Macy’s did previously but I don’t know if they still do. And if you are in the mid-Atlantic region, Boscov’s does as well.
  • @wigglyicecream @fromfurmomtobabymom8-2 @mdfarmchick thank you! We don’t have a Macy’s but I may check Dillard’s. I’m looking for a top to wear for our gender reveal so I may be able to get away with a regular top that has some room
  • @tmartin014 for shirts, especially during second trimester, I try to stick to things that work but aren’t maternity. Then I can wear them postpartum
  • I reallyyy want to try the Smash+Tess rompers, they looking amazing for pregnant moms.. but I just can justify spending $100+ :(
  • Ok so I totally just found those exact pants on Poshmark for $9, I paid less than $20 including shipping. 😬😬
  • @paytonpedro the Abercrombie pants?! You’re always finding the best stuff on their - especially to find your size!
I’m on my way to look because I can’t bring myself to spend $70 on one pair of pants. The non skinny jeans are $90. Who has time for that!

    @mangoandguava preciousssss!!! Love that!

  • So surprised about Abercrombie too.  I didn’t even realize they were still around.

I just ordered a bunch from ASOS.  It’s normally so hit or miss quality/fit wise, but it’s the only place I saw styles I’d actually want to wear in the summer.  Fingers crossed.
  • @dimeadozen oh no no no. Lol. The target pants with the side panels. But I definitely always recommend Poshmark! There really are some great deals on there!
  • I'm in need of maternity dresses for the 7 weddings I have before baby is due.  :# Any suggestions? One is a black tie, so I will need a long dress for that. The only thing I can think of/find is maternity bridesmaid dresses, but I don't want to look like I'm in the wedding!
  • @paytonpedro oh, still a win! I did find those Abercrombie pants, but this mom butt isn’t fitting into a size 8. Lol so anyone who is, go look!

  • @dimeadozen what are sizes? I thought pants only come in leggings and sweats these days 😹
  • @brittanynmorris I know @paytonpedro has mentioned Poshmark several times for maternity clothes and I'm 100% in agreement! Especially for a black tie dress. Pink Blush always has a cute selection of dresses that would be appropriate for a wedding.
  • @brittanynmorris I would try renttherunway esp for the black tie
  • I’m waiting on a dress from Pink Blush for a wedding I’m attending in a few weeks. I ordered one from them already that I’m returning because it’s too frumpy looking so hopefully this next one works!
  • Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I will look into them!
  • I dont know if anyone has asked this yet but has anyone else and an issue with maternity pants sagging? My regular jeans were getting too tight to wear so I made the switch to the maternity jeans with the built-in belly band. I got a size large figuring I'm going to be getting bigger so better to have room to expand. However, they are very comfy but still a little baggy and I'm costly having to hike them up. I got them at Walmart because I needed something quickly. They aren't the adjustable kind. I'm on "ample side" so anything tight is a no-go.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use to keep them up? I tried folding down the belly band but that didn't help. There's nothing I could loop a belt on but so far that seems like the only solution. I do plan on getting another pair or 2 eventually but I'm waiting until I've got a good size belly goin.

Also any store/brand suggestions for pants would be great. Any fit but skinny!

    Thanks all!

  • @brittanynmorris I bought my wedding gown and my girls got their bridesmaid dresses on www.azazie.com

I don't know what their selection of maternity dresses are but you can customize your size according to your proportions. Fairly inexpensive too.
  • @tmartin014 if you aren’t opposed to second hand Goodwill always has a small maternity section. I’ve found some decent stuff there in the past.

@brittanynmorris Hey! I just got a standard sized maternity from Azazie yesterday! It fits well right now with room for a tummy, but I am sizing up one more so that the empire waist has wiggle room for expanding ribs. I’m a bridesmaid and will wear it at 7 months pregnant. Their standard sizes have free returns (and sometimes a restocking fee)

This is me holding a towel under the waist to get a feel for how it’ll look closer to the wedding. There are custom sizes available as well, but they are not returnable. You can order a try-at-home standard size for $10. I personally would order sooner in a standard size and decide if you think you will like the fit with a bump. Then make sure there’s some room to grow. You can get extra yardage for alterations too!!

I have also heard Rent The Runway is amazing! A non pregnant friend said she has so much trouble finding dresses she likes that fit. She ordered a few for a formal Christmas party and she said they ALL fit and she loveddd three of them on her. I believe they have maternity options. With that many weddings, renting may be a good option.

Have fun and good luck with all those weddings! My husband and I were in and/or attending with me making/catering the wedding cakes & charcuterie boards/doing floral arrangements at 4 friends’ weddings last summer, and it sure was a lot! Weddings are so special though! I’m glad I only have my best friend’s this summer though!🥰
  • I have had great luck with rent the runway for non maternity dresses. I have a wedding to attend in June that I will definitely be looking there again.
  • @itsme215 ooooh pretty! 😍
  • @itsme215 Could they have found a model with smaller boobs? 🙄
  • I got some crop leggings from Poshmark they were new with the tag on from beyond the bump and I am not impressed at all.
  • @paytonpedro good idea. I will probably try. I really don't like them.
  • @leahrnmom I bought something that… is really bad… lol. And I plan on trying to reposh pretty soon.
  • @paytonpedro I go in posh stints. I'll buy a bunch then not again for months
  • @paytonpedro you can’t leave us hanging with that… how bad is “really bad??” 😝
  • @mdfarmchick I’ll put it on in a little bit and let y’all see for yourselves. 😬 it looked really cute on the girl I got it from…
