I live in Minnesota, I’m 37, and this is my fourth pregnancy. I have two kids (5 and 2). I had one miscarriage in between the two little ones. I have always wanted a big family so I’m very excited.
i have been feeling pretty nauseous and tired. I actually had a work trip this week - gone Monday through Thursday (flying back now) and on Tuesday morning I vomited three times before heading off to a 7:30 am meeting. I barely held it together all day! And it was a very long one. Trying to take care of myself more now and the timing is right because we are on vacation for a week in February. I plan on heading to the spa, getting outside and working out!
excited as we have been trying for a few months but also nervous because I had postpartum preeclampsia with my first and was in the ICU for 4 days. Keeping my anxiety at bay as best I can and thinking allllll the positive thoughts!
Congratulations on all your pregnancies!
I'm Naomi, 23. I found out about 2 weeks ago when I decided to take a pregnancy test 6 days before my period... and there was that 2nd line! My DH didn't believe me at first which was hilarious seeings every month before that, any sign of any pregnancy symptom or even just being bloated made him think I was expecting.
We have a 13 month old (our honeymoon baby!) who was born 2 months early with tetralogy of falot (a group of heart defects), as well as a hernia. It's been a difficult year and some people have said we need a break... but I do want our LO to have a sibling close to age, and admittedly got the baby itch months ago. So I am very excited to be here!
LO is teething his molars right now so I am up alot at night and get soooooo tired! But what else is new? I also get uterine cramping after breastfeeding and other times, and my nipples are quite sensitive. Especially when bit by new teeth. I feel I'm also more irritable and don't have the patience and endurance for temper tantrums. I feel nauseous. As well, my back aches. But perhaps bending a lot for my LO does that too!
Our children are well worth all the pain though!
Due date is October 8. I've already had an appointment with my family doc to help my hubby believe I'm actually pregnant! As well, because of Type 1 Diabetes I've had appointments with the Diabetes team.
We're keeping it secret for a bit since with our last one people found out early. We are praying and trusting for a healthy pregnancy and baby this time!
So nice to connect with you all!
Oh, and I am in Alberta, Canada
Im a civilian radar technician on Marine Corps systems, so this will be super fun as my pregnancy progresses trying to do my job, haha.
I had a hunch I was pregnant when my dog wouldn’t/ won’t leave my side. Especially when I’m laying down. She loves to put her head on my stomach now. Also, my boobs have been super sore for about two weeks. I didn’t think anything about that though because I thought I might be getting ready to start my period.
So far my boobs being sore has been the constant but yesterday I was fairly nauseous almost all day and had a pretty good headache. I’ve also had some bloating and very mild cramping.
I’m super excited to be apart of the group and so far reading y’all’s comments in different threads helps me know I’m not alone!
My husband is a Mechanical Engineer/Contractor is pretty busy most of the days but we do enjoy going to a piece of land we hope to one day build our home and have a bonfire with our dogs, maybe go for a walk, definitely visit a few restaurants every now and then to avoid a comfortable routine.
Due date? October 14 but haven’t confirmed with a Dr.
How did you find out? I was four days late according to my period tracker and took a test. Immediate blue line.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This we’ll be my first child. I have a 13 yr old cat, I’m a small business trainer, I enjoy crocheting and binge watching TV. I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost a year but half of that was long distance. He’s as surprised as I am, we had not been trying at all, but he’s excited and supportive and kind and understanding.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m scared but excited. Working on making an appointment with my primary care team. My only symptoms so far have been mood swings, cramping, and diarrhea (TMI?). Emotionally, it’s been a roller coaster this week, but I think that’s a lot to do with the mood swings (which I hope simmer down soon!)
How did you find out? This is actually so nuts. I was feeling so sick and sneezy and headache-y. Called the Ontario health line and they said to go the hospital because it could be complications with Covid which I had previously. I thought that was extreme, but took their advice. At the ER, they wanted to do an x-ray to make sure my lungs were okay, but did a beta blood test first in case I was pregnant. As they were sending me to get the x-ray a nurse shouted “stop! You’re positive!” And I said “positive for what?” And then at 1am in front of the whole ER she told me I was 5 weeks pregnant. I still laugh thinking of this moment. Huge surprise.
Tell us about yourself? I’m a writer and performer. So thrilled to be having a first child. My partner of two years proposed to me the DAY BEFORE I found out I was pregnant. I think it’s sweet we were so obliviously happy. He’s taking this news a bit slower than I am but I’m being patient with him and have a strong sense all will be okay no matter what.
Nice to meet you all!
Due date is October 19th according to apps.
Felt implantation cramping 8 DPO and suspected from then on. Didn’t test until 15 DPO though so I could be confident in the results. Only symptoms so far and tender breasts and fatigue. We got pregnant our first time trying so we’re in some shock! Definitely hasn’t settled in or started to feel real yet.
Due date? Not confirmed yet but October 16th. I had an IUD for a number of years and my partner and I decided to remove it and see what happened. Three months later, here I am!
I have been incredibly thirsty! I had some cramping too.
Tell us about yourself: I’m a nurse anesthetist and my partner is in real estate. We both ride horses and enjoy long distance running
How are you feeling? Super anxious. We decided not to share the news with anyone because of our advanced ages. I wish I could talk to people. Also, I think I’m in denial.
My husband and I started trying in January. I work from home as a health coach and he teaches. We live full time in an RV and travel during the summers so I'm nervous and excited to fit the little one in our small space. And to travel during the second trimester 😬
I've been sooo tired and only sleep through the night a couple of days per week. My boobs have been very sensitive, that's it for symptoms so far though. I'm really excited but also don't really trust it yet because it all happened so fast! Just trying to take one day at a time and not get anxious.
Due date? Oct 21 but not confirmed by dr yet.
How did you find out? It was our 4th month of trying and I tested on the first day of my missed periods (last Thursday!)
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m a realtor and an Ashtangi, we’re very active in mountain sports- snowboarding, mountain biking, I love to cook. No pets or kids! Partner sells medical supplies and works from home.
I’ve been feeling great, pretty much no symptoms yet other than mild occasional cramping. First appt is 3/10 so a ways out. Having a hard time not telling people- I’ve only confided in my sister and 2 close friends who knew we were trying. Excited for the journey, nervous for my body to change & just the unknowns of the process. But we are very happy to be starting this next life step. I’m 34 turning 35 In June, so the timing felt right 😊
We’ve been trying since 2020. Had a pregnancy loss in August 2021. This was our second round of letrozole and so glad it worked this time. Positive pregnancy test one day before missed period then bHCG tests 2 days apart to confirm (more than) doubling trends. We are over the moon but also very anxious with it being our first.
Husband and I met in law school and we are both attorneys working for different banks. We love to travel but I have a feeling our days of traveling adventures will look a lot different now!
Feeling good- so happy to feel tired/thirsty/ nauseous because I’ve prayed for this for so long. Viability US next week - fingers crossed it goes well! Anyone else have been/will be on blood thinner injections? Let me know if you are!
Due date: the app guesses October 13th, but don't have my first OBGYN appointment until March.
How did you find out? I thought I might be because I was nauseus and tired before a pregnancy test showed up. I found out when I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night and took a test. It was kind of faint, so in the morning we went to the store and got a clear blue that said pregnant or not pregnant. So i was able to confirm the positive test with hubby. This was a few days after my birthday, so my husband said happy late birthday!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have two corgis, Opie (7) and Amos (1 1/2). I used to teach, but left when COVID hit. My husband and I have been together for 9 years and married for 4. I've been baby crazy for years (we got Amos to help push it off), but my husband was finally ready to start trying this year. His grandfather had his father when he was 30, his father had him when he was 30, and hubby will be 30 this year so he likes the idea of carrying on the tradition. Hobbies: my dogs, tv, crocheting, videogames (sometimes with the nephews), hiking, gardening.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
First appointment is scheduled for March 15. Symptoms: nausea, tired, night sweats, sore breasts, acne, cramping, super thirsty, bloated/gassy, starting to get mood swings.
Emotionally, I am excited how supportive my husband is being as he wasn't so excited before we started trying. He is also being extra protective of me which is adorable. We haven't told anyone yet (telling my family this week!), so I feel really awkward lying/avoiding certain situations.
I’m feeling a little stressed because only my husband knows and keeping a secret is so hard for me. My husband is out of town for his job and my nausea started kicking in pretty bad so I’m trying to survive until he gets back so I can get more help haha 😅
Due date?: October 28th (according to the calculator)
How did you find out?: At Home testing
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My DH and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary next month. We have a 2 year old little girl and a 9 year old Boston Terrier.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): Feeling excited and still kinda in shock! Haha Sore breasts and Nausea!
My name is Emily and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I am 27 and have a 3 and 1 year old (4 & 2 in April). We had been trying for baby 3 for 5 months and are so excited to be expecting! We are grateful for the kindness of God to give us another child :) I feel much more tired this time around but that may just be because we already have 2 toddlers 😅 I’ve never experienced much morning sickness but am feeling very sensitive to smells. I always know I’m pregnant when I start to gag when I brush my teeth and shower... weird haha our due date is 10/12 and I have my first telemedicine appt on March 1! Excited to be on this journey with you all!
Due date? 10/17/22
How did you find out? Was charting and using a fertility monitor, when my progesterone and estrogen levels hadn’t fallen by the time AF was due I took a test and there was a second line!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have 4 children from a previous relationship, between ages of 16-2.5 years old. Was trying to conceive this baby w/ current partner for over 2 years, including a failed IVF. I have 2 dogs, a cat, a great husband, and when I get a free moment to myself I like to read snd do some of my own creative writing.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m feeling good physically, although definitely exhausted by the end of the day. Boobs are huge and super sore, but besides thsr no symptoms. I’m excited but very very nervous because it’s so early… I think I’ll feel better after I see a hb, but no appointment scheduled yet.
I currently work as an events and wedding coordinator. I'm a little concerned about telling my boss. I know she'll be super supportive but I'll be leaving for ML at one of our busiest times of year.
I'm also a full time student (changing career paths) and a fur mama to a wonderfully crazy shepherd mix. I love to cook and bake and am honestly so excited for all of my future child's birthdays. I believe I'm due around Oct. 23rd. Our 8 week appointment is on March 1st. Halloween is my favorite and I'm pumped to be having a spooky baby!
Introduce yourself: My name is Susan (pronounced sue-zahn), and I live in Las Vegas, NV!
Due date? Baby is due October 18, although still has to be confirmed by doctor. Our confirmation appointment is 2/28 — and I’m a little nervous because I’ve been feeling some pain on my left side and it’s freaking me out to wait so long to find out if everything is okay.
How did you find out? I got married back in 12/04/21 so I got pregnant QUICK. We weren’t exactly trying, but we weren’t preventing it either. Just wanted God to do His thing (and He did lol).
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first pregnancy ever! My husband has a six year old daughter who is the absolute cutest thing ever. I have a dog named Rory who I consider my firstborn. I love true crime, reading, writing, designing, and learning. I’m a researcher at heart.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Outside of that random pain, I get morning sickness at night (usually before bed), very bloated and gassy, pretty much exhausted all the time and I pee constantly. So much fun!
I have been with my husband for 15 years and we decided to start trying after Christmas so I went off the pill JUST before. I estimated my ovulation time through an app but wasn’t sure if it was accurate due to being on the pill since I was a teenager. When I didn’t get my period in January I was like WHAT and tested - BFP! My sense of smell and sore boobs tipped me off a few days before my period was due so my spidey senses were tingling. My husband was also like WHOA that was quick but happy and excited.
It’s just me, my husband and kitty. I’m a landscape architect, love to travel and adventure around Ontario and beyond. I spend a lot of time outside and am VERY ready for spring (enough of this ice).
I am feeling happy and grateful while also nervous and anxious - depends on the hour. I have been nauseous (have to eat small snacks nonstop) and I am super tired but not as emo as I thought I would be. Boobs are tender AF.
Oct 26 according to last menstrural.
Found out today at 4weeks by saying, “Ehh I’ll take a test, I know it’ll be negative though.” It was surprisingly positive! Even at 11:30 AM! Had labs drawn today to make sure my levels are ok.
I’m a SAHM, originally a radiology technologist. Husband and I have been married for 5 years.
I’m feeling ok. Like kind of nervous because of previous miscarriage, but not as excited as I thought I would be. I guess this could be a safety response not to get my hopes up?
My husband and I had been trying for a year, called it quits in December, caught Covid in early January and spent too much time quarantining together. While I had Covid, I was extremely out of breath when walking around, and ran a low grade fever off and on. My periods are super irregular and I technically wasn’t “late” but decided to do an at home test. Low and behold, positive!
I’ve had two appointments, one when I thought I was 8 weeks, but was only measuring 6, and another this week, to confirm I’m only 7 weeks along.
As for symptoms, my BBs have not stopped hurting, and I’m extremely nauseous all day, every day. On the bright side, my skin and nails look great!
We have a fur-baby, Charlie, who is 9 years old, and we are so excited to be welcoming a human-baby into our family this year!
Due date isn't exactly confirmed yet but if we go by the first day of my last period.. it's the first week in October.
I found out by taking a urine test at work (I work at an urgent care with lab and xray) and I just knew.... It was even 3 days before my period. Something in me just told me to take a test.... I took 4. ALL POSITIVE!
Tell us about yourself: I just got married in October 2021. We both love bowling! It's how we met 11 years ago. We have a cat and we thought we were gonna be cat parents but now we are so ready to become ACTUAL parents! Haha
How are you feeling?: so I'm at the 7 week mark... I would say almost 2 weeks ago I had a small fit of nausea.. but I wasn't eating! I barely had an appetite. So now that I've been eating more I have been feeling great! My only symptoms right now are peeing more often.. and fatigue! I'm hoping it stays that way.
Due date? Based on LMP due date is October 10th. First apt is March 1st.
How did you find out? My period was a week late, took a pregnancy test and positive! Went to the doctor for a positive blood test and those two came back positive and at good levels as well, so has to believe it! 😅
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I was not trying and my boyfriend and I had only been dating for not even two month. He also live a part time in another state so we weren’t together when I found out and for an entire week after. I am with him now in Seattle and he wants me to have an abortion which I feel 100% the opposite. He says we will make if work if that’s what I decide but it has been a terrible feeling thinking I am forcing him into the decision of keeping the child. (That we are both responsible for). I have always wanted kids and have never been pregnant before. I was not in birth control but haven’t been for years. He said he sees our relationship working but since it’s so new we would be way better off letting our relationship develop and trying in a year. I said that would be great and ideal but that’s not the situation that has presented itself. I am a firm believer I things happening for a reason.
Any advice or positive words would be appreciated. 💗 These past two weeks have been very emotional and I want to be able to feel the happiness of being pregnant. Currently 6.5 weeks.
My name is Rebekka. Due date October 6th.
My wonderful husband and I are very excited! We both work in IT. Have been trying for a little over 7 years and were told we couldn’t conceive, so this pregnancy is a bit of a surprise but a very happy one. We found out about 2 weeks ago when I noticed my period was late and I had been feeling sick for a few weeks.
So far no extreme symptoms. I do have a little nausea daily and feel exhausted. Headaches and food aversions are starting and my clothes are already tight due to bloating.
We had the first appointment with my doctor a couple days after the positive test. Will have our first ultrasound in 2 weeks.
Its been quite the journey....
I had a 5 day frozen embryo transfer on February 8th....and just had a BFP on an at home test this morning!! My beta bw is tomorrow! We are over the moon! I had a MC at 7 weeks in 2015. We have been with a fertility clinic since January 2020....with 5 failed IUIs, 2 ER, 1 failed fresh transfer in April 2021. Then I had surgery in October to remove 13 large uterine fibroids. I was cleared for FET in January....and here we are!! <3
My husband, Jeff, and I have been married since July 2009. We have two silly, lovey kitty kids, Sanskrit & Shimmer. I am so thrilled to be a part of this community!
Due date? Oct 7, confirmed 7 weeks 3 days at OB today.
How did you find out? At home test because my period was late and my boobs were sore.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years. We’ve been trying for almost 3 years and we had pretty much given up hope. We have 2 golden doodle dogs, one is 8 years old and the other is 4. I’m a school principal.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I’ve been super nauseous with a lot of food aversions. Also tired with cluster headaches that come and go. I’m super excited though and I don’t mind the symptoms it means we have a healthy baby. I’m nervous about my advanced age haha
My husband/ baby daddy and I love concerts, eating, doing nothing and binge watching tv/ video games, and occasionally muster the energy to go camping or skiing.
We’ve been trying for two months so was pretty stocked to get a yes on the day of my missed period! Early symptoms right now is *feeling parched all the time...* even though I’m drinking plenty of fluids. Feeling chronically undercaffinated. And feeling extra warm at night. It’s all Bizarre. No cravings but pretty upset that sugar gives me cotton mouth, so salty and acidic foods have been my go to *cue takis and seaweed paper with rice*
Super excited to see I’m not alone with some of the weird symptoms!
