the bleeding has slowed considerably, I would like to say I think it has stopped or will stop by the end of today. Finger crossed it stays that way.
I’m so exhausted. It’s such a Monday. My daughter woke me up at 1am, she had thrown up all her herself. So no school for her today. I’m hoping it was just random but I did notice another kid having stomach problems over the weekend. Honestly, January is historically the worst month for us. I just want one day.

Bleeding again. I’m just tired of thinking about it constantly. I want to feel excited that I'm in the last week of my first trimester, and this is the week I’ll pass where my loss was, but it’s so hard to get excited when I have a constant fear.
@and_peggy I feel for you, on another level. January hasn't been very kind to my family either. Sending you all the hugs!

Both of my other losses were in January and my most recent (with the trip to the ED and emergent surgery) anniversary was 2 days ago (the day before my bleeding). I get feeling grateful and being scared at the same time. Hoping the bleeding stops and stays away for us both!

@and_peggy oh no, kid throw up in the middle of the night is the absolute worst! My daughter gets super anxious sometimes and has random yucky tummy days. It's gotten better as she's gotten older though. Hoping it's a one-off type of thing for her.
My shein order is taking forever. It's the annoying thing about living in nowhere Idaho, it always takes so long for packages to arrive. I sent a friend a baby gift last week and Amazon delivered it the next day! They live in a major city and I'm a little jealous. Maybe Austin will be better about delivery times and I can actually get 2-day prime deliveries. *fingers crossed*
I don't know if this is news to anyone else but it sure was to me. My dr. was going over all the blood work for first trimester and she mentioned glucose. and I was like awww no I hate that and she said you can get out of it if you commit to a week of finger sticks. I was like sold, sign me up. anything is better then that drink they give you for that test. I said please my sister used to poke me with that thing all the time growing up (she is type1 diabetic). Anyway just thought id pass along.

So today was my appointment, baby was wiggly and happy with a strong heartbeat. We actually got to hear it today which made me weepy. Something about getting it just makes a world of difference. Dr checked my cervix and it’s closed. She was also super sweet and kind and just made me feel better in general. She told me she thinks I should be fine and told me “no vigorous exercise” which if I’m being honest I don’t remember when the last time was.
On another note I got offered a scholarship at school which prompted me to check out about the program I wanted to apply for before I found out I was pregnant. They told me if I need to withdrawal my application for any reason they keep your name “on the radar” for next year and withdrawing wouldn’t hurt my chances if I needed to wait until next year.
Finally breathing a tiny sigh of relief. Next week is NT and hopefully the Maternity 21 blood draw, then the following week I have a follow up with OB and MFM. Sorry for the word vomit
@starkette I’m so jealous. I think we have the same due date but I have a regular appt 2/17 and it’s not my anatomy scan. You’ll know like a full month earlier than me😩
@and_peggy Oh man, I'd go crazy! I had to wait until 20 weeks with my first and it felt like an eternity! You have my full sympathies. Any way you can get a sneak peak?
@starkette I think it’ll depend on if I can get an appt with the tech. They only have 1 tech for like 6 drs. All the drs do their own u/s except for the AS. So I’m going to see if they’ll let me do it at like 18 weeks but not holding my breathe.
I don’t want to do a SP test because I have 3 boys and I know male dna can cause false results
@and_peggy fwiw both of my anatomy scans were at 18 weeks. My doctor actually preferred I get in there 2 weeks earlier and pushed me to make the appts. then.

@paytonpedro I’ve had AS around 18 weeks before, I’ll just have to see the availability. Crossing my fingers. But atleast by mid March we should know. I’m just jelly of all the ladies that already know.
@and_peggy sameeee. I’m going to beg the u/s tech to show me the nether regions on Monday at my nt scan and if she won’t I’m going to schedule a boutique u/s because I don’t want to wait anymore! Lol I don’t even want her to tell me anything 🤣 I’ll determine it for myself. I’m super clear on what a penis looks like on u/s lol.
I called my insurance and they don't cover the NIPT and I'm not ready to pay $300 out of pocket for a test that I'm really only interested in finding out the gender... so I'll have to wait a bit. This is fine. I still have an appointment at 8:45 tomorrow morning for a blood draw for like regular blood panels and stuff (I know my cholesterol is high so 🤷🏻♀️) and an exam with U/S. MH gets to come in and stay with me! Woohoo! I also took the whole day off because I need a rest.
@bridgiebee82 did you mention to them that you’ll be over 35 when you deliver. Not saying they don’t already know that but I know a lot of companies won’t cover it unless there’s a reason and AMA is one of them. Also, you have twins which means they should cut you a break.
@bridgiebee82 I heard from a twin mom friend that NIPT can only tell the sex for twins anyway if you have two girls. If they see a Y all they can say is maybe two boys or maybe one of each.
So remember how I was so worried about sharing with my sister about the baby? Well she put up some distance for a few days, which I expected and totally respect. Today, in a roundabout way, she was talking about purging stuff because she was sad to look at baby stuff all the time. I had been toying with the possibility of asking to borrow the infant car seat. Ours expired and I do not want to buy a $200 item that was only going to be used a short time frame. And used car seats is a no. At the same time, I did not want to ask her, felt like it was super tacky and insensitive. I would rather spend money than ruin our relationship. But after her comments about how I was welcome to borrow anything, I asked and she was super happy to lend it. So now I don’t have to buy a new infant car seat! Win!
@and_peggy oohhh what kind of cookie!? 😂🍪🍪 I’ve also been thinking about asking my sister to borrow her bucket seat, her boy just turned 1 so by august he’ll be wayyy to big for it anyways. So thanks for reminding me!!
