  • Omg I totally forgot to start these threads today 🙈 SO SORRY GUYS!!! ❤️

@wigglyicecream I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. It sounds extremely frustrating. I would be very annoying and keep calling. Or maybe just find someone else? I feel like healthcare in general is super frustrating, even prior to covid, but especially now. It’s hard to make appointments when you have children and there is just no understanding there. Everyone I know works and the offices are only open until 4pm.  I’ve never wanted  to bring my children to appts with me, but I’ve always had  to. I really hope you get a chance to talk to your therapist and sort out the scheduling issue.
  • @paytonpedro I appreciate the support. If I wasn’t so emotional bc of pregnancy I would have probably handled it better. Just annoying that she was gaslighting me and not even considering that I might know what I’m talking about. It’s taken so long to find a therapist I actually like and trust, so I’m not interested in finding somebody new. Best part is these are telehealth visits. I don’t even have to go in office. He just won’t continue the session if my daughter interrupts me. I hate when people try to invalidate how I feel, a simple “I’m sorry “ would have went a long way.
  • @wigglyicecream that’s so frustrating. I’m sorry. I hope you can find an office that values you.

  • @wigglyicecream I’m really sorry you had that experience. The worst is finding a provider you feel comfortable with and trust, and them having terrible front office staff. I hope the issue is resolved and you can get a make-up appointment really soon.
  • @and_peggy yay for small wins due to covid
  • @and_peggy well I think enough of us here were hoping it would be postponed for you, and there’s power in numbers. Lol. I’m glad that worked out for you at least!
  • @wigglyicecream ugh, I'm so frustrated for you. I agree this an example of why our mental Healthcare system is failing. They can't even be understanding when you clearly need support. I hope you're able to find a new therapist who is more supportive.

@and_peggy yay for Hamilton being postponed. You know have me wondering if my show will also be postponed... I'm supposed to be seeing it on 2/2.
  • @wigglyicecream I'm so sorry. What a terribly frustrating experience. I can understand why you would feel disheartened. I hope you are able to book your next appointment soon. It sounds like you've built a good rapport with your therapist, and continuing to see them is crucial to your mental health. Until then, hang in there and know that you have the support of this little community ❤

@wigglyicecream oh I am so sorry! We love you, and are here for you!

@and_peggy I'm so thankful the performances got postponed for you!

My random today is: it was my first day back to work from  Christmas break and having covid. I'm sitting in my OB's office and my appointment was for 10 minutes ago. They told me there is a "bit of a wait" because everyone needs the same room. Ok. I get it. Why did they schedule us all at the same time then?? Hopes of cancelations? I hate waiting at doctor's offices. It is infuriating. If I left a parent waiting as long as doctors make patients wait, I'd be fired. But then, I do get it because they have to spend time with the patients. But don't cram us all in. Give us the time you know you're going to need!
  • @bridgiebee82 thank you I do feel the love from our group. It’s nice to know my Internet strangers have my back. Also I hate the “hurry up and wait game” please come 15 mins early and wait 30 mins past your appointment time to be seen but if you’re late we can’t take you. Ughhhb
  • What is going on with tb? Anyone noticing that when you tag someone it returns the rest of your text to the next line? Hopefully it doesn’t do that when you tag someone mid sentence…
  • @wigglyicecream I’m so sorry, how incredibly frustrating.  I hate when doctor’s office staff is dismissive.  It feels like some offices employ the least caring people as the gatekeepers to make it as difficult as possible to reach the provider.
  • @wigglyicecream I am sorry you had that experience. I didn't have a great experience last time I went to see a therapist. It makes such a difference when you feel like you connect and then this happens.
  • @bridgiebee82 whoa! How exciting!! there are quite a few multiples in this group now
  • @bridgiebee82 congratulations! That's exciting! And probably overwhelming. How are you feeling about the news?
  • @bridgiebee82 oh wow!! Congratulations!! We might have to get a separate thread going just for multiples check in here soon! Lots of mamas having twins (or more!!). That is super exciting!!
  • @bridgiebee82 congratulations!! What exciting news!
  • @bridgiebee82 Congratulations on double the fun! Wow, so many multiples in our group!
  • @bridgiebee82 what a blessing! Congratulations 🎉
  • the multiples in this group is wild! i totally agree a separate thread would be fun to keep an eye on you ladies!!

@anniemarie887 I don’t think my last bmb had nearly as many multiples and we definitely didn’t have any quads.

ETA changed triplets to quads almost forgot we have a quad mama
  • @wigglyicecream december 2019 had no multiples that stayed through to the end, maybe one in the beginning? but truly nothing like this!
  • @wigglyicecream I'm so happy to hear you have a good therapist even if his office staff suck (that seems to be a pattern in a lot of health care sectors). Have a good appointment!
  • In my last BMB, we had at least 3 mom's with twins (I think there were more initially but only 3 joined the FB group). They had a MOM (mom of multiplies) thread which helped them keep track of each other & support each other. I think it would be wonderful to have something similar on this group.

    yay! such wonderful news @wigglyicecream
  • @wigglyicecream so glad to hear how this all worked out for you!

Y’all. I’m sitting here crying watching Cricky! It’s the Irwin’s…. There’s a baby koala and I’m just dying at how ugly cute it is!! Also random scenes of them feeding the crocs… why am I crying?!? 🤣

As for a multiple thread, multiple mamas- is this something you want? I can look through old bmb’s to find a format and get it started this first time- maybe do multiples Monday? Or twins+ Tuesday? Any one of you are more than welcome to get a weekly or monthly thing going!
  • @paytonpedro My old BMB had a format I can pull and post here (or wherever we want)! It really depends on if the mom's with multiples want their own separate thread.
  • @paytonpedro My kids were watching an animal show this weekend, and they showed a mama ape picking bugs off a baby, and I seriously felt my eyes filling up. It's something about baby animals, gets my mom instincts flowing!
  • @wigglyicecream omg so glad your therapist called and validated you! I hate when front desk people are rude. That's so incredibly frustrating. At least your therapist sounds like a nice person! <3

Multiples sounds both exciting and intimidating. Will be eagerly following each of their journeys.

@paytonpedro man! You've been hit with the hormones.  :D Always a "fun" rollercoaster.
  • I think a multiples thread would be really cool to have.

@tmartin014 and @wigglyicecream kids' intuition is amazing! They know so much more because I think they're so in tune with still being babies themselves. I love it!
  • @maggiemadeit I'm glad your 3 year old passed the test! My husband has celiac and I have a gluten sensitivity, so I'm sure our twins are going to have some kind of sensitivity to gluten.

All 3 of my nephews have tree nut and peanut allergies. They carry around their epi-pens in little pouches everywhere. We have had a few ER scares because 2 of my nephews are so sensitive to even being in the room with peanut butter. Allergies are scary.
  • My random: I just discovered chronotypes (thanks, Instagram!) and took the quiz and found out I'm a Bear (could have guessed this - I have always said I'm an 11-7-er) but am now super excited about seeing how the productivity and exercise recommendations line up with my actual work schedule this semester and scheduling times for research and exercise!
