@Jeenyus going through a similar problem, and oddly enough I am right around the same time as you! We found the heartbeat but there are now concerns for cervical length, so we go in for an US Thursday to see how everything is going. Fingers crossed for you ❤
@Panaceia Unfortunately the clinics here don't have the ability to do an ultrasound on site, so it was either send me to emerge for one, or send me to one of the two private clinics in town that do them. Because I wasn't experiencing any further bleeding yesterday, she opted to avoid sending me to emerge.
I went in this afternoon, and baby was there - wouldn't stop moving and was very busy! Measuring about a week earlier that I was previously told - 15w instead of closer to 16, but the heartbeat was 145 bpm and all looked well. They rescheduled my upcoming anatomy scan until later in October to allow little one to grow a bit more.
The hematoma is 100% gone, and the tech said that could have been the reason for the cramping/spotting. She also said that she's had some women come in throughout their entire pregnancy with unexplained spotting and cramping. I go for another blood draw tomorrow (went for one yesterday too) to check hormone levels - but there was definitely a baby in there today!
@morgantu I feel like that's the clarification I'm going to have to get from my doctor. "So, spotting shouldn't concern me, and if I am soaking a pad I should go to emerge - but is there a middle ground where I should be concerned enough to come in to see you?"
How did you avoid panicking with the bigger bleeds? I've only had it a couple times and it just makes you fear the worst
@Jeenyus Yay!!!!! I have been waiting for this update!!!!! You must be sooooooooo relieved!!!! I'm so glad everything went so well and that baby was dancing around in there for you ❤ ❤❤
@Jeenyus I'm so glad baby is ok!!! Whew. Honestly, I do panic about it a bit every time I bleed. But like I said, mine almost immediately turn brown and move to spotting after a couple of hours, so I just try to wait it out and that part makes me feel better. I think I'm just deluding myself, but it works for me.
@Panaceia@kgg2241@morgantu Thank you! Pregnancy is not for the weak of heart lol, I feel like every little symptom has you immediately thinking “Here we go again!”.
More cramping and spotting this morning, but I’ll try to take morgantu’s approach and wait it out. It’s so easy to let the anxiety build and panick!
