@bender29 welcome. Your clinic/ doctor should give you places to call so you can price all of the meds. Mine gave me like 6 places all around the us to call. I chose to go with a pharmacy that was local so I could pick up the medicine when I ran low. Good luck!
The egg we transferred was a 3 day 8 cell when we froze it. Then dr wanted it grow more so they thawed and observed a little more and it became a 4-day blast. Well, it was nearly a blast that was between grades 3-4. The cells were unequal in size and there was moderate fragmentation.
@tinjp78 OMG OMG OMG so happy for your 3 digit beta!!!
@bender29 As you in your previous round, the pharmacy was not a choice, my insurance actually owns CVS, so I get all my medication from CVS specialty. Though in the past when I had a different insurance and some medication were not covered, I used a local fertility pharmacy and a service from Europe: https://www.ivfmeds.com/. I do not remember which medication, but I do remember the cost savings were significant. I did some research, based on what my nurse recommended to find the best options. GL!
@tinjp78 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am beyond excited for you!
@bender29 You're going to need a specialty pharmacy, so I'd talk to your clinic about what the options are near you. I got my meds through Freedom Pharmacy, which is a mail order specialty pharmacy, but they were covered by insurance so I'm not sure if they are generally a cheaper option or not.
@skyee87 thanks lovely! And yay! Glad you’re ready to transfer! September will be here soon and I can’t wait to see your bfp!
@ashleyhj29 I’m 11 dp5dt today, beta is tomorrow morning eek! I definitely feel like it will be positive but I’m still nervous. I have had very sore boobs and obvious nausea and dizziness plus exhaustion the last few days. How are you feeling?!
@tinjp78. Omg yes!! Best news ever! I’m so so happy to hear this buddy!!
@tinjp78 yes yes yes!!!!! So much love for you and those 3 little numbers!!!!
AFM, I have become a shot pro. I even had some girlfriends over this weekend and i stowed away in my closet and got it done without anyone noticing…well I think 😁 I have noticed since I began stimming that my appetite has gone away. This is weird for me, I’m not usually the type of girl that can miss a meal. I haven’t read about this side effect anywhere? Anyone else heard of this?
@tinjp78 TBH I am struggling with a lot of anxiety. TW - by 6w0d my 2 previous pregnancies were lost, so really nervous and looking at every single symptom, feeling, etc I am 5w6d today and still 1 more week to go for the first US. Just trying to be positive and imagine this will work and I will be able to hear a heartbeat for the first time. Thanks for checking
@mojoflower are you nauseated? That was the main issue I had with the stims. It helped to eat small portions often to avoid an empty stomach, but food didn't look as appealing at some point.
@danij823 thinking of you!!! Here's to an amazing beta!!!
I am 5dpt and got a VVVFL on a FR today...feeling a bit anxious bc my last transfer at 5dpt, my line was light, but clearly there. This one you have to squint....need something to calm my nerves. I know I am still very early! I technically tested at 4.5dpt because I transferred in the afternoon and I tested at 9am today...please, someone calm me down!
@ashleyhj29 I am saying a prayer for you! That was a very early test you took, though you know that already. I am sure that is why the line was very faint! I have very high hopes for you! I hope you get to relax today. Go put on some music and dance or take a walk. Take your mind off of everything. All will be well!
@mojoflower I have somewhat lost my appetite in this process too. I think it is a combo of nerves and also eating much healthier so I think my sugar levels are stabilizing. The bloat from all of the meds doesn't help either. I felt like my pants were so tight LOL! I am glad you are becoming a shot pro!
@gabriellem99 Saying a prayer for you too! They say 3rd time is a charm! Hang in there lady!
@danij823 those are great symptoms! Good luck with your beta!
@bender29 I also had to pay for everything myself. 22K including meds in a package which includes 1 round of IVF and 2 transfers. I hope I get a BFP because I cannot afford this again. Make sure you call around to specialty pharmacies and ask about rebates. I went through Walgreens Specialty and actually got reward points from my med purchases, which was nice.
@tinjp78 How are you doing? When do you go for your next beta? FX
I have my test on Friday! I go in for the test and they are supposed to call me around noon with the results. I am not testing early/now because I am worried about a false positive since I did a fresh transfer. I am currently 8 dpt. I haven't had many symptoms. On top of all of this, my 40th birthday is Wednesday. I told my husband we will either go shop/look for baby stuff on Friday (if positive) or I am going to go have many adult beverages at a bar (if negative) for my 40th. UGH!! Friday cannot come soon enough! Good luck and baby dust to all of you!
@danij823 YAHOOOOOOO. Amazing numbers. Double double double! When is next beta?
Also, I think I'm officially joining this thread! Just heard back from my clinic and FET is scheduled for 8/23. I struggled getting my lining thick enough for the ERA, so that'll be a challenge next few days. Also, any secret to the full bladder thing for transfer? I had a bottle 40 minutes before the ERA and was DYING, and even then they told me it was not super full.....
@skyee87 I go back Wednesday for beta #2! So nervous! Happy tho! August 23rd is my wedding anniversary so a very good day! Yay! Its so soon! For my 2nd trial transfer and transfer I drank a 33oz smart water. I started drinking it 1hr 15 mins before transfer and drank it in 15 mins-finishing it exactly an hour before transfer and both times they said my bladder was perfect. I had to pee but it wasn't unbearable. And for the lining-they just increased my vaginal estrogen and it fluffed up! Sending you all the positive vibes love!!
@skyee87 I started drinking water one hour 30 minutes before transfer and brought the water bottle with me in the car and drank water on the ride there and in the waiting room. Transfer went smoothly! I’m so excited that you’re officially joining us! Yay 8/23!
@danij823 congrats on your beta!!! So happy for you!!!!
@skyee87 Great to have you! I'm also in August (the 16th). The water always stresses me out. My first transfer I overdid it, so I'm always worried I'll do that again. As I recall, my clinic says to start drinking water when you get there, but I think every clinic is different in how long it takes you to get from arrival to actual transfer. But I'd ask your clinic and see what they suggest.
@KTB81 Oooooo I'm excited for Friday for you! Really hoping it involves baby shopping!
@tinjp78 Sending you all kinds of continuous sticky vibes!
@gabriellem99 It is so, so hard when you've had a history of early losses to get through those first few weeks of anxiety. Sending you lots of love and prayers that your little one is growing right along in there.
AFM Plugging along with my lupron and estrogen patches. I have bloodwork on Wednesday.
Thank you all @skyee87@KTB81@romeoandjuliet146 for sharing your stim side effects. 💜 yes, I have been nauseous. I also get migraines and have had two in the past week so I want sure if the nausea was from them or the meds. I’m trying to remove more stress right now to keep them at bay.
@danij823 I’m so happy for your beta! Congratulations friend!
@ashleyhj29 you got a line! Sending all the love that it keeps darkening.
@gabriellem99 I understand anxiety and I’m so sorry you are suffering right now. Acupuncture always helps me. And also music and dancing in my room…with the door locked. I am sending you peaceful vibes 💜
AFM had my blood draw yesterday. Went back and waited in the waiting room to be called for my US…I wasn’t scheduled for an US. 🤣 nurse called last night and changed my Folistim from 300 to 225. And asked I go back Wednesday for more blood and for real an US. FX all is well.
@mojoflower ooh, your subtle slipping out of the party to do the shots was smooth. You looked like a girl on a mission. I’m rooting for you and your beautiful eggs, keep us posted.
@gabriellem99 Hugs. I know exactly what you’re going through. I feel like I’ve written your post myself. Hang in there. Let’s take on one day at a time, we’ll get there.
@ashleyhj29 Sending you lots of sticky vibes. Fx for those lines to get darker and darker.
@KTB81 I’m doing alright, thx for asking. I had my blood drawn yesterday (8/2) actually but they didn’t check for HCG. My clinic (and maybe majority of clinics doing IVF in Japan) only monitor the HCG if the first beta is low. Hoping and praying that the call you’ll have on Friday would be the one that’ll make you wanna go onesie shopping. And Happy Birthday!!!!
@skyee87 Welcome! I’m glad you got a transfer date already.
@romeoandjuliet146 Hi. It’s summer now in here and with my spiking hormones, I feel I’m breathing out fire 😁 But I love summer. Happy to hear you are starting now. I’ll be waiting for your updates.
@Bababatty Hello. Aside from feeling hot, I also feel quite motivated though I’m fatigued easily, must be the Olympics’ high is rubbing off on me a bit.
@tinjp78 gah! How did you know I love the doggies! I have 4. I couldn't have babies for the longest time so I started rescuing dogs, haha. Here is a photo of my doggies and photos of me and my DH on transfer day!
@tinjp78 LOL yesterday I celebrated the hard work the Olympians were doing on TV by falling asleep on the couch while watching it. All that running has me exhausted! ;-)
@KTB81 I love your doggos! I know they'll be excellent older siblings.
@mojoflower How long did it take to realize you weren't supposed to have an US? ;-) Maybe you just really like spending quality time in the waiting room? Back when I was doing IUIs, my clinic used to have HGTV on in the waiting room. So I actually enjoyed waiting there for hours while they prepped everything for the IUI, lol.
@Bababatty and @ romeoandjuliet146 hoping you both have a smooth transfer day, i know how the time slows down during all the waiting games. Thank you for the congrats
@tinjp78 that is just wonderful news, I have been thinking about you, sending those sticky vibes! Congratulations on all the great news you have received!
@ashleyhj29 when is your first beta? Try to remember every pregnancy is different. Try not to overthink it sometimes you can implant later. Glad you got a fain positive that is a good sign!
FYI not good news
Update on me. Had my ultrasound yesterday. I was suppose to measure 7 weeks 3 days but the doctor only measured embryo at 6 weeks one day. We did see a flicker but could not hear the heartbeat. She said because im measuring a week behind I have only a 50/50 chance this embryo will survive. I will say im grasping onto any idea of hope but preparing for the worst. I have not had any bad cramping and no bleeding. Also noted that she has a hard time visualizing everything so hoping the measurement was off somehow by some miracle. Anyways I follow up on 08/10 to see if it still has a heartbeat, she was already mentioning a d&c…..
@char0701 I am so, so sorry. I hope the little one is just growing slowly and will catch up. I am keeping you and your little one in my thoughts. I truly believe miracles can happen. Hang onto that hope, we will too.
Hi everyone. I’m new to all of this. I am 35 and DH is 29. DOR. We did 2 retrievals and we did our first FET on Monday 8/2. Doctor says they transferred the best looking unpgt tested 5day embryo. Im going out of my mind waiting but my beta is next week Tuesday 8/10.
It’s great knowing I’m not going through this alone.
@holdinghope21 Welcome to our group and happy PASP. I love your handle, it’s a reminder of what everyone of us in here are or should be doing. ‘Coz hope is a powerful thing. 💕
@char0701 It sucks that the your dr could not give a better report from the previous scan. I’m with you on hoping and praying for the miracle that is growing inside you will keep on growing. Sending you lots of love.
@char0701 I'm so sorry you didn't have better news! I am holding out hope and praying for you that this little embie is a fighter. 50/50 is better than 0! Out of curiosity, could you ask your RE to send you to another doctor/hospital/MFM for a more in depth scan? My RE did that for one of my transfers previously because he couldn't get a good look (my practice is also affiliated with a major hospital, so he just sent me to what I assume was their maternal fetal medicine wing, where they have better equipment).
@holdinghope21 Welcome! Congrats on your transfer and FX for a sticky embie!
AFM Bloodwork today was all good; I go back on Monday for more bloodwork and u/s and then we should start progesterone. Still on track for an 8/16 transfer.
@char0701 Sending you lots of prayers friend! @danij823 Amazing betas! You are pregnant! Remind me, did you transfer 2?
AFM - getting 2 pink lines day 6 and 7...beta is tomorrow on day 9 and they want 50+. My lines are lighter than my prior transfer that gave me a 97 beta...hoping for at least 50 tommorrow.
Re: July/August 2021 FET
of others -and wondering if they will transfer it in the future?
