@tinjp78 I'm all over the place too! I'm hoping so hard for the both of us!! You have a wonderful plan in place! My husband took off work tomorrow and we are going out to lunch after and then going home to rest and laugh also! I think I'll just binge watch the Office because it's my fave. I have the rest of the week off to just relax and hopefully enjoy it. I'm so excited, anxious, nervous, happy..just all of it!
@gabriellem99 congratulations on those beta results praying for a doubling numbers for you!
Someone mentioned something about the pio injection soreness. I rotate mine per my doctor to my gluteal and also my legs, occasionally use massage and heat after injection. This seems to help me.
Update on my beta it’s went from 209 to 695 they were happy with this. They scheduled first ultrasound 07/27 hoping to get positive news that day!
@irynwnab Awesome attitude! Cheering for you! @gabriellem99 Sending you positive vibes f@gabriellem99
AFM - another lining check today. I am tri-laminar and around 7.6mm. The doc added estrace vaginally to boost me up a little and I go back Thursday for another check.
My clinic instilled a new policy which I think is total BS....now the sonographer isn't allowed to show the patient the screen while they are performing your US...WTF?!?!
@danij823 I’m sorry you’re having a hard time with the PIO. My husband helps me, and I’m so grateful. But I do deep meditation breathing during the shot and that helps me. Being relaxed means I don’t bruise as much.
@tinjp78 I am cold all the time too! I never thought about this but read something about keeping your body warm after transfer. I bought a feet blanket and have it on the floor keeping my feet warm all day.
@char0701 those beta numbers are great!! congratulations!!
@strajn01 that is awesome!!! hearing a heartbeat must be the most amazing experience. Enjoy!
Good luck to those with transfers tomorrow
AFM - Beta #2 is tomorrow and I was able to get an order from my nurse and go directly to the lab, so hopefully this time I will get the results earlier.
@gabriellem99 Good luck with your second beta tomorrow!
@strajn01 Congratulations!! Best wishes for a H&H 9 months!
@tinjp78@danij823 Good luck with your transfers tomorrow! I have everything crossed for success for both of you!
@ashleyhj29 That's such a weird new rule! Did they say why? I've heard of not being allowed to record the US on your phone, but to not even be able to see it at all?
@danij823 Yay, transfer day tomorrow! I'm excited for you! I was looking at Amazon last night because they have funny socks to wear on transfer day " Lucky Transfer Day Socks."
@tinjp78 Thanks for the info. I will be praying that this is the one for you! I plan to eat pineapple as well on my transfer day. And I had never heard of this until I read about it online, that some like to eat French fries after a transfer. One show that always makes me laugh a lot is "Impractical Jokers."
@ashleyhj29 That's ridiculous! Thankfully, where I go, they have a screen mounted on the wall, so I can see what is going on.
@strajn01 Wonderful news, such a special moment to be able to see your baby. What is your due date? My clinic has little animal dolls that record the baby's heartbeat. People buy them when they graduate.
Yay!!! Wonderful news!!! @char0701 that beta is great! Congratulations.
@strajn01 Hearing the first heartbeat is ❤️ I’m so happy for you.
@gabriellem99 FX on tomorrow’s beta. Thanks for mentioning the feet warmer. That’s a wonderful item. I think I have something of that sort. I’ll also do my best to keep warm.
@ashleyhj29 Congrats on the tri-laminar lining. I wonder why the sudden policy change. I hope your clinic would explain. At the hospital where I first had my IVF, I could always see the monitor, at my current clinic, however, I was only able to see the monitor when Covid happened because they removed the curtain that used to hang above my waist when seated on the exam chair.
Afm, Our 3day 8cell that had become 4day blast? (some parts didn’t seem to divide but a portion had formed into a blast) is on board ladies. The transfer was fun. I asked my nurse to have some music played during the procedure and it helped me calm my nerves. DH and I had lunch afterwards and just watched The Good Doctor (5 episodes).
@tinjp78 So glad to hear your transfer went so well
2nd beta results:
272!! Not as high as my previous pregnancies, but again, those ended up in MC so I take this as a sign! This clinic only does 2 betas and then US. My nurse was super nice and she said if that makes me happy I am free to go to the lab and get a 3rd, I just need to call her a day before so she can send the order. US scheduled for Aug 9th.
AFM - I was cleared today for transfer on Wednesday, 7/28!!!! Everything has gone very smoothly, so I'm eerily cautious given my history. Praying this is the one that decides to make me a mom!
@romeoandjuliet146 That's so cool that your clinic has dolls to record the heartbeat! Also I think I missed your UTI, so I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling better.
@ashleyhj29 Hooray for a 7/28 transfer! Praying this is the one!
AFM Just chugging along. I think I'm getting my period? It should be sometime soon, but the lupron has made me feel like it's been coming for the past week, lol.
@ash@ashleyhj29 yay for being cleared for transfer. It’s almost here!
AFM I really thought this move was going to be easier than it was. I have done so much manual labor in the past two weeks. Also, my DH had a sperm aspiration 3 days before the move and of course was told he wasn’t allowed to life anything over 5 lbs for 2 weeks! 😩 but I’m in. And it’s over. And right in time to start stims next week.
@mojoflower Congratulations on the move! Talk about bad timing for DH though, lol. Or was it? I have to say that after getting over the initial fear of burning myself, I'm starting to enjoy the moxibustion. It does smell like--but isn't actually--pot, so I'm somewhat concerned that it will bother my neighbors (apartment life!). So I've sequestered myself in the farthest away corner of our apartment by a window. I like the warming sensation and it's calming.
@mojoflower wow, good job! I can’t imagine doing what you did. I’m useless when it comes to lifting stuff, but I’m good at putting them in boxes 😅 Anyway, it’s great that the heavy labor is all done and you can now focus on your upcoming stims.
@Bababatty yeah, moxibustion really does smell, especially it attaches more on my hair. If you worry about your neighbors getting a whiff of the moxi, I suggest you get some room deodorizers. The natural stuff would be better. I was thinking of some coals, they are really good at absorbing odors. Or after drinking tea, you can save up the tea bags and just leave it to dry and u can place that in some corners of your house, coffee grounds are great too. Also, damp a towel and hang it somewhere in the room, it should be able to get rid of some smells.
afm, 3dpt. I’m cramping from the left side of my uterus down to my left leg until the sole of my left feet. It’s just mild so it’s not that big a deal but it’s giving me a reason to just lay down and do nothing, I’m lazy like that 😁 Anyway, gotta keep my blood circulating so I’d better get up. I’m just gonna take a warm shower from now and then cook some lunch.
@tinjp78 What did you end up having for lunch? Is your profile pic a Care Bear? I used to love that show as a kid. I also liked Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony.
@Bababatty you reminded me of when my Mom and I went in our backyard to use the moxibustion. I don't know how you feel, but it seems forever until my transfer on the 20th. Have been thinking I might as well try and get in shape before then by walking everyday. My Mom I am used to try and get 10,000 steps a day, so need to get back to that.
afm still taking birth control and lupron. will finish birth control next week. Ordered some "lucky transfer socks" from Amazon because I thought they were funny.
@romeoandjuliet146 We just ended up ordering in. We got some spicy pork rice bowl, chicken cutlet and fried noodles. DH and I were satisfied. Care Bears is so adorable. I wonder if they make cartoons like this these days, the one on my profile pic is Funshine Bear. I also love those cartoons you mentioned. Ooohhh, you ordered those socks, I’m getting so excited for you. It is actually funny wearing these lucky transfer day stuff. On my transfer day, I felt silly wearing my pineapple scrunchy and was giggling on the way to my clinic. I guess that was good because it kind of eased out some tension that I had. The 20th may seem like a lifetime but I think your plan to get back to your walking routine would make the days go faster. Fx on the prep 😊
@Bababatty that gave me a giggle picturing you hiding in a corner of your own home with the moxi stick! I would be doing the same thing though! I have so many oils and smudge sticks and singing bowls sometimes I wonder if it would look weird to a friend so I hide it all before they come in!
@tinjp78 I love you giggling at yourself with your socks and scrunchy. I ordered socks from Etsy and unfortunately DH was in the room when I opened the box. He was very confused on why I was buying orange-glitter-pineapple socks. I feel like somewhere I read they had to be orange…
AFM- going to try to relax today and enjoy a day off without responsibilities past doing yard work- which is something I’m still enjoying being that I have only had a yard for 3 weeks now. Sending the good relaxing vibes to everyone!
Oh and did everyone use calendars from your doctors offices or did you buy some fancy medicine/ appt tracking calendar from Amazon or Etsy? 😁
@mojoflower those socks... you got me on glitter 🥰 My clinic just require us to track our bbt’s with a chart they provide. I wish they also give out those tracking calendars. Since they don’t, I just make one out myself.
@romeoandjuliet146 Hello. I’m doing alright, so far, thanks for asking. I’m hoping to get an acupuncture appointment today. My left back side lower extremities pain had subsided from yesterday. I also get so thirsty all day and my nipples are painful to the touch. I’m just embracing all of these symptoms and just thinking they are positive ones 🙏💕 Beta is this Saturday (7/31).
Hello, I’m new here and would like to join all of you wonderful moms to be. My DH and I have been married since 2015. I’m 39, he’s 43. We have make factor, possibly a blocked Fallopian tube, and low AMH. We have basically been trying since the wedding. I recently went through my first IVF round in July and got 5 embryos. 4aa, 4aa, 2aa, 2aa, 3(not sure) We were luckily able to do a day 5 transfer. Due to my AMA, my doc recommended transferring 2. We’re waiting to see if the 3 can be frozen, they wanted to let them grow another day and then supposed to call us tomorrow to let us know. We transferred the 4aa’s and I am currently in the 2ww and am praying with all my might for them to stick! Please let me know of any implantation advice! Thank you! KT
Hello
ladies! I have had very little time to come here and read all your updates, just catching up on all the news😊
Work has
been so crazy the past week that I didn’t have much time to think about numbers
and betas, and then the weekend arrived and my anxiety was so bad that I texted
my nurse on Saturday to ask for a 3rd beta order and go to the lab. She asked to go to the office that same day, they were having transfer, so got my test and the results just came:
Beta #3: 1,125 So all good, and I made a promise I will not torture myself or DH or my nurse again and will "patiently" wait for the U/S in 2 weeks.
@gabriellem99 so happy for you! Those betas are awesome! I know how long that wait for the ultrasound is. I finally get to go tomorrow and literally was like is it Tuesday yet?
@char0701 thank you for the welcome, good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow.
@gabriellem99 haha! I imagine I would be just like you during the beta phase. Congratulations on your number! So exciting!
Also, I saw where everyone was discussing progesterone injections. We told my nurse they hurt and we massage after. She actually said not to massage which was strange because we even watched a video where it said to massage to get into the muscle. She actually said to just rock back and forth for 10-15 minutes after injection. She likened the massage to filling a balloon with water and when you fill a balloon with water and massage it- the oil can leak out. So she said to rock hips back and forth to ensure the oil Slowly moves downward.
I have no idea what helps the pain though! Those things hurt! That and the menopur was the worst!
@KTB81 Welcome! About the PIO matter, my nurse also does not massage it after she administers it to me. Hmm, I wonder why others have a different instruction. Happy PASP! I’m rooting for you!
@char0701 Thanks. I’m actually dreading it and I feel it’s coming so quick 😬 I usually don’t POAS before beta day but I’ve been considering it these past couple of days. Woah, it’s your U/S day tomorrow, have a good one! 💕
@gabriellem99 Congrats! It was a good idea to call to have that 3rd beta. The stress we undergo during this process is on a max level, so doing what you did was reasonable. Praying that your 2ww for the u/s would we smooth and fun. For now, we celebrate for your fabulous numbers!!! Wooohooo!!!
@KTB81 Welcome! I also got married in 2015. @tinjp78 Were you able to get your acupuncture appointment? I also have never taken a test before beta day but am thinking about it this time. @gabriellem99 Great news!
@romeoandjuliet146 yeah, I had it yesterday and it was wonderful. My therapist put needles and moxibustion on the points where she said would help out in implantation. It was my very first after-transfer acupuncture appointment so I haven’t experienced needles on/around my knees. I got in a bit of a pickle though, because I didn’t know how to say ‘it tickles’ in Japanese. 😅 My back is pretty sensitive. So since I couldn’t voice out my situation, I just kept on jerking a bit when she had put and removed the needles. After the treatment, I went shopping for a while (mostly sweets). At home, five hours after my acupuncture, I felt a slight pain and weakness on my right knee. It was my first time to feel that. DH and I have experienced walking all day in some of our travels, our feet hurt like crazy soon after arriving our hotel room, but never have I felt this knee pain/weakness I got last night. So, it was from the acupuncture for sure. Good thing was, it was gone this morning.
About the testing before beta, I checked out the cheapos that I have and found out they expired April 2020. But I told DH that I’ll use them anyway. I’ll test tomorrow morning 😬

Still just taking birth control and Lupron. I won't see my doctor till 08/02 then after that will start Estrace.
