I thought this might be a fun thing to start. Background - my favorite out-of-work DJ used to do this segment every Friday where people would call in and tell him something good. Big or small, it didn't matter. I loved starting my weekend of with a bunch of positivity.
So c'mon and tell me something good, yeahhhhh! (You can tag me in the Randoms thread and tell me to shove it if you don't like this idea, but only positivity here. 😂)
Re: Tell Me Something Good!
Oh, and DH can go to my next two appointments with me. He hasn't been able to go to any so far this pregnancy, so this is pretty exciting.
@madiirosee that's so sweet. Baby girl already has him wrapped around her little finger.
We went camping and managed to have a ton of fun despite the rain!
@vampirina so glad that camping went well! Do you tent camp?!

I’ve been on disability since January because of HG and haven’t been able to work. Unfortunately we’ve been hit with a lot of unexpected expenses recently, my disability is going to run out September 1st and because I’ve been on disability so long and haven’t put in hours at work, I don’t even qualify for FMLA!
My SO works so hard to pay all the bills and it’s been so stressful on him.
Well, I can’t just leave my family in a bind like this and my HG is getting somewhat better.
I’m taking my last class (medical micro) online through UCSD to be able to apply to Clinical Laboratory Scientist programs in my area and this would GREATLY improve our financial situation. The application process is about a year though.
I took a chance, and applied for a lab position a few weeks back. It pays $7K a more a year than my current job, has much better benefits and consistent opportunity for overtime. I just can’t believe I was interviewed riding into my 3rd trimester, hired, and told that they had no problem giving me the time off I need after the birth.
Yes, this will be very hard on my body but I can suck it up for a few months until baby is born.
Oh and we just found out we got the house we’ve been trying to rent that will give us 2 extra bedrooms so I can actually have a nursery 🙂
Don’t know how I’m going to push through the next 2 months but it’ll be worth it if I can.
