I thought this might be a fun thing to start. Background - my favorite out-of-work DJ used to do this segment every Friday where people would call in and tell him something good. Big or small, it didn't matter. I loved starting my weekend of with a bunch of positivity.
So c'mon and tell me something good, yeahhhhh! (You can tag me in the Randoms thread and tell me to shove it if you don't like this idea, but only positivity here. 😂)
DS and DH (in that order) both felt Baby E kick for the first time yesterday. DS was so excited. He kept telling me to make his brother move so he could feel him more and just randomly resting his hand on my belly. So cute to see how much he loves his brother already. And DH barely got to feel DS because that little stinker would stop moving immediately when DH put his hand on my belly, so this made DH happy.
Oh, and DH can go to my next two appointments with me. He hasn't been able to go to any so far this pregnancy, so this is pretty exciting.
DH and I have plans tomorrow! It's been hard to find fun things to do lately. But a regionally famous 80s cover band is playing at our local park, so we're going to go get dinner with a couple of his friends and hang out there. I was a 90s kid, but who doesn't appreciate a little hair metal and 80s synthpop in a low-hassle venue? And the weather is even supposed to be nice!
DH came home last night and said he had a surprise for me. Turns out he went into Janie and Jack by himself and bought baby girl two adorable sweaters and an outfit with some socks.
Seriously. So. Stinking cute.
He’s so excited for her it just melts my heart 💓💓🥰🥰
My DD lately has been pretending to talk on the phone. Yesterday she picked up my phone, said "hello Papa!" (What she calls my Dad) and then followed up with "I love you!" It was so so sweet! 🥰❤
We drove our 20 hr road trip (through the night) with three kids, a dog and a preggers....and it went so stinking smooth! We even made it to our destination within 20 mins of Googles initial ETA!! SHOCKED. So pleased with our adventure and excited to see family
My sons track meet got moved to a later time which is awesome because now I don’t have to worry about him or have my toddlers in the heat. Little things.
Not sure if this counts buuuut I found this little guy today on the sidewalk after breakfast. I picked it up and brought him home. My mom used to rehab squirrels so she gave me all her supplies. Doing my best to keep it alive but at least it’s safe and not baking in the sun or getting stepped on. I have this curse… or blessing where I am always stumbling upon animals in need of help! Never fails
DD was 100% accident free this weekend! She wore underwear all day today, including to gymnastics, a baby sprinkle, mini golfing, and dinner out. She also went 3+ hours holding her bladder and woke up nearly dry from her nap. I’m seriously so proud. Who knew potty habits could be so rewarding!?!

TTC #1 | June '18-August '18 | DD | Born April 21, 2019 | Due May 10, 2019

So this just happened: I’ve been on disability since January because of HG and haven’t been able to work. Unfortunately we’ve been hit with a lot of unexpected expenses recently, my disability is going to run out September 1st and because I’ve been on disability so long and haven’t put in hours at work, I don’t even qualify for FMLA! My SO works so hard to pay all the bills and it’s been so stressful on him. Well, I can’t just leave my family in a bind like this and my HG is getting somewhat better. I’m taking my last class (medical micro) online through UCSD to be able to apply to Clinical Laboratory Scientist programs in my area and this would GREATLY improve our financial situation. The application process is about a year though. I took a chance, and applied for a lab position a few weeks back. It pays $7K a more a year than my current job, has much better benefits and consistent opportunity for overtime. I just can’t believe I was interviewed riding into my 3rd trimester, hired, and told that they had no problem giving me the time off I need after the birth. Yes, this will be very hard on my body but I can suck it up for a few months until baby is born. Oh and we just found out we got the house we’ve been trying to rent that will give us 2 extra bedrooms so I can actually have a nursery 🙂 Don’t know how I’m going to push through the next 2 months but it’ll be worth it if I can.
@mac-n-cheesy!!!! That is seriously some good news! I've been thinking about you this pregnancy because I know its been SO ROUGH on you and it's just so awesome to hear you have a change for the better!
Picked up the legs attachment for our bassinet today, and finally worked out a solution with our retailer regarding our Nuna car seat. I cannot believe the most stressful part of this pregnancy has been the car seat 😐🙄

@madiirosee that's so sweet. Baby girl already has him wrapped around her little finger.
We went camping and managed to have a ton of fun despite the rain!
@vampirina so glad that camping went well! Do you tent camp?!
