Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I am excited to be here. My name is Amanda and I just found out I am pregnant with my second. We are currently in the process of moving to Alaska from Florida so it’s been a whirlwind.
Due date? Approximately 3/14
How did you find out? I was camping with my family during our cross country move when I decided to take a test on a whim. I was not expecting it to be positive and it was right away.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 14 month old son and 2 Belgian Malinois dogs. I enjoy the outdoors as well as yoga and cycling. My husband is in the military which is why we moved to Alaska.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment is August 3. I am pretty nervous for it. It will be a lot different receiving OB care in a remote area. As for symptoms, I have been a lot more tired than first pregnancy.
GTKY: I am an avid sports fan, UCLA is my favorite college team and I enjoy watching the LA Chargers and Tampa Bay Bucs
How did you find out? I am a very data-oriented person, so I was one of those ‘start testing ASAP’ people 🤪 I had a positive test at 8-9dpo.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have one daughter (she turns 2 in August) and two dogs. I work remotely to educate people/patients/families with rare genetic diseases. I enjoy yoga, hiking and ice cream. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is my favorite, if only we lived closer to a scoop shop!! I used to travel quite a bit for work and cannot wait to resume more travel in a post-covid world.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I don’t have my first appointment for several weeks, so not much to report there. But I am anxious to see this little bean on ultrasound and to get NIPT scheduled as well. I am feeling cautiously excited! And a little nauseous and tired, too.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I am a huge Disney fan!! Any other Disney lovers here??
@knottie6d... Welcome! I literally just ordered $80 of Jeni's ice cream because I got an Instagram ad and couldn't resist. I haven't heard of it before. I'm even more excited to try it now haha. If you haven't already, you should change your username to something more recognizable. You might need to log out and log back in for it to show up.
@kgg2241 That’s awesome about your Jeni’s order!! I am curious to hear what your favorite flavor is once you try it! Thank you for the tip about logging out - I couldn’t for the life of my figure out why the username wouldn’t update.
How did you find out : found out 9 dpo, have taken 7 tests since then in disbelief since we just started trying this month.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 3 yo girl. I wanted a girl the first time.. this time around I think I dont care.. or do I?... no ... wait.. uhhhhh... trying not to think about it. My husband wanted a boy the first time. He says he doesnt care this time but I am sure he d like a boy.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Aug 20.. seems like a loooonnngggg wait. Slight nausea all day. Sore boobs but better now. Praying that all goes well!
@jenis_fan_for_life I work for a company involved in gene therapy. Exciting time in the industry with so much hope, but still so much progress to make.
@jenis_fan_for_life love your username! Ate jeni’s a few times a week my first pregnancy. We’ve moved since then so the shop is 30mins away now but for my quarantine bday last year, my husband bought me a case off their website. Brown Butter Almond Brittle for life!
How did you find out? Got a positive test 6 days before my period was due. Super early!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first child. I am a special education teacher to little ones. My husband works in golf and we have a dog and a cat that are our current "children". I enjoy gardening and reading.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel good! I have multiple sclerosis so I was worried that treatments might of affected my fertility but we got pregnant on the first time Very exciting! I have been feeling nausea here and there and when I smell certain smells I automatically gag. Emotionally, I am doing well and don't feel too many mood swings although I did cry when watching the Olympics the other day haha. Last week I felt a lot of cramping in waves but that has subsided. My first appointment is Aug. 24th and it feels like forever away! I'll be almost 9 weeks then.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
@Sarah0335 that’s awesome! What is your background? My background is in genetic counseling. Gene therapy has always been so fascinating to me! You are right that it is an exciting time for genetics therapeutics, but there is still lots of work to be done!
@night_nurse We are in New England, so we can only get select Jeni’s flavors in the grocery store or by shipments. So I am a little jealous of the scoop shop in driving distance! And what an awesome gift from your hubby 🥰
@jenis_fan_for_life My background is in viral vector manufacturing. Now I am completely on the business side of things, which I really enjoy. I also live in New England, just north of Boston. I haven't seen too many in this group from our general area.
@Sarah0335 that’s great! My company HQ is in Cambridge, so probably not too far from you! I haven’t seen many others in NE so far in this group yet either.
How did you find out? This was our first month trying, so I feel super lucky! Took a test a few days before my period, and nothing. Was feeling a little nauseous and off that whole week, then tested day of my missed period, and positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 17 month old daughter and love my March 2020 BMB ladies! Solidarity to all of you who also had a baby during the pandemic and were trapped inside with a newborn and your spouse for months 🤪 I have a teaching background and now work for a company working with technology in schools. DH, DD and I live outside Chicago and pre baby and pandemic, we loved trying new restaurants and traveling. I’m very busy with work these days, but am looking forward to checking in and lurking to keep up with everyone 💙
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) A little nervous, tbh. I was nauseous alllll day for the first few months with my first, and now have a few symptoms that come and go. I know I should feel lucky, but it makes me a little nervous. First appointment isn’t until 8/17
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! DD was born on leap day! And not related, I recently got a spin bike and have been using the Peloton app, so if anyone is on there and has done the prenatal series I’d love to know more!
@lemonlove86 welcome! I found out like you did. With my first 2 LOs I tested early and found out early. This time around I didn’t get the BFP until the day of my missed period lol! I love my first BMB group too. 6 years later and we talk everyday!
How did you find out? I was 3 days late for my period. I had only just started getting my period again after having my son. He’s 20 months old and I’m breastfeeding him, so I was lucky enough to not have a period for about a year and a half after he was born! My period was still a bit random since it started back up, but I just has a feeling I was pregnant. So o took a test and was starring at a bfp.
Tell us about yourself: I am 39 and I’m a sahm at the moment. I used to work fulltime, but when covid hit, I stopped working to be safe and also because all my kids school shut down. They are all supposed to start school aug. 30th, but I’m gonna keep them home for the first month or so to watch and see if anything happens with cases. I have I have 5 kids, 3 Angel babies, and this little bean in my belly. 4 girls, ages 13,11,8 and almost 5. And our baby boy who is 20 months old. I have been married to my husband for almost 12 years now, together for 15 years. We also have 2 dogs, a frog, and a bearded dragon.
How are you feeling? I finally have my first appt on Monday aug 2, and normally at this stage I would be nervous, but my nausea is so bad and lasts all day, I feel more at ease and I feel like thongs are going well with this pregnancy. Aside from nausea, I’m so darn tired….I mean crazy tired! Sore breasts, which is no fun with a20 month old breastfeeding boy who has to pinch my opposite nipple while falling asleep
GTKY: I love baking, cooking, organizing, cleaning…anything to make me happy in my home! I’m a singer and a clarinet player. Been playing since the 4th grade. I also love anime. It’s something my 13 year old and I watch together. It’s not only great for bonding, but it’s awesome lol
Introduce yourself: hi! I’m 35yo and this is our first baby. I got married this year and we bought our first home… a lot of firsts but we are excited
Due date? March 11th
I was on BC for probably 20 years and decided to stop so we can try. Since I only had one period to track.. I took a guess on ovulation. We were surprised it happened so quick but we are so so excited
I work full time from home at a stressful job. Other than that, life is great.. I live in sunny Florida and go to the beach often. I have a wonderful husband and a cat who is extremely needy and loving. I also have a huge Irish/Italian family with lots of nieces and nephews. Whom it is very hard to keep this from but we have decided to wait until the end of 1st trimester.
How are you feeling? My first appt is Aug 11th and I’m anxious and excited (insert all the emotions here) Any symptoms? I have been really lucky (knock on wood) I have had consistent cramping that comes and goes. Sometimes so bad I can’t move. Overall, been happy and in a great mood but can cry over a commercial lol
GTKY: Twins run in my family, in fact, I am a fraternal twin. The running joke is that I will have them since everyone else in this family is done having kids. While it would be exciting.. it terrifies me lol
Hello, my name is Kelsey. I am a 27 year old from Canada. I got married to my husband March 2020 and we have been trying for about a year and a half with no luck so we are super excited!
Due date? March 4th
How did you find out? After trying for so long, we actually "took a break" from actively trying because I had a oral surgery scheduled for the middle of July. 🤣 I noticed I was a day or two late (not super uncommon for me as my cycle wasn't super regular), and my breast were very tender. I was actually out at my parents farm housesitting all of the animals so when I took the test and it was positive I had to wait two agonizing days to tell my husband.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm halfway through my registered nursing degree (done 2 years of 4) and am pretty nervous about finishing up my year (ends at the end of April) with a little one, but we are so excited we're hoping to make it work. We have two cats, two dogs, a bearded Dragon, a crested gecko and several fancy mice that I breed for fun. My husbands name is Kory and we were together for about 4 years before we got married. I found him a few months after getting out of a terrible (abusive) relationship and am thankful for him every day. ❤️
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) We are soooo excited! I was nervous at first, as I had an ectopic pregnancy when I was 20 resulting in having a fallopian tube surgically removed (part of the reason it took us a year and a half to conceive), but because of this we got to have a very early ultrasound at 6 weeks to confirm baby was in the right place and we got to see a heartbeat.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I feel like I already wrote so much. 😂 I only have one fallopian tube and a million pets.
Hi! I'm Julia. I'm a 28 year old from Atlanta with a passion for geekery. My husband and I have been married since 2016 and TTC since 12/2020. I had a CP in April of 2021, and am now 7 weeks along with our baby nerd!
Due date: EDD of 3/23
How did you find out? - After a night out, my husband and I were spending a lazy Sunday together playing video games. I complained of some cramping and thought out loud that I might be getting a rough period soon. "I think you're pregnant," he said. I waved him off, because I'd already written off that cycle. On a whim, I took an hpt during my next pee and got my BFP! Husband knew before I did
Will (the husband) and I have two mutts that we adopted in college who are the absolute sweetest. I'm an HR Rep, but I love to write fantasy and play DnD!
How are you feeling? I couldn't be more excited. We had a scare at 6 weeks 3 days with some bright red bleeding with small clots. After rushing to the doctor, we found I was still pregnant. After some blood tests, we got the good news today that my HCG is still rising appropriately. After another US on Friday (8/6) we should hopefully put that scare behind us!
GTKY: You know those mutts I mentioned earlier? We're trying to teach them to talk using buttons with recorded words!
Due date? I've been lurking because I'm not sure what my assigned due date will be.. but Based on the little info I know I'm guessing 3/31. I got my IUD out at the end of June because I didn't like its side effects, with intention to start TTC late this year. Looking back I'm pretty sure I ovulated around 1 week after removal. And here we are.
How did you find out? I was pumping and drinking a margarita after a few really long days at work and told DH that the litter box in the laundry room smelled horrible, he mentioned he couldn't smell anything and joked that maybe I'm pregnant. I laughed it off and finished my drink. When I woke up his comment bothered me because I had some spotting a few days prior. So I took an expired test and it was positive before the test line even appeared. I then ran to the store and got a digital and immediately positive as well.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a son who just turned 1 in July(I still love how active our BMB is on facebook), he is the absolute best thing in my life. I have two dogs and a cat as well. I am a labor and delivery nurse that works on a high risk unit and just got my certification earlier this year! I absolutely love my job. DH husband is an accountant for a research and development company. We live in the PNW and love camping and hiking! I also really enjoy working out, and was just starting to really get back into it the last month or so.(Now it makes sense why the last week has been incredibly harder haha)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) It took me a few days to wrap my head around this. I'll be honest I wasn't super happy (I'm a planner, and this wasn't the plan haha) And feel so much guilt because this is completely different from when I found out I was pregnant with DS. I'm getting more and more okay as the days go on. Just still in shock. I noticed many others still breastfeeding, as I am too and just soaking up these last little moments of that with DS, with whom I'm slightly mourning our short 1:1 time left. Throughout the day I get waves of nausea, I have insomnia at night and can't stay awake past 9pm. So far overall okay! I have my intake appointments in a couple weeks, and then my dating ultrasound hopefully the week after that! (Hopefully that'll keep me in this group and not move me to April!)
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Combining both DH and my families.. we have almost 15 people with birthdays in March and April already. So why not add another to the bunch.
Well of course this was the month that we had mostly written off because I was out of town for a few days but I happened to ovulate like the day i got back 🤷🏽♀️.
And then I totally expected the test to be negative when I happened to check the morning of the 16th when we were moving to our new apartment because it was negative two days before and had been for the last 7 months so we were pretty surprised 😅
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I’m a PhD candidate and we have an adorable grumpy old man cockapoo.
I’m a big Harry Potter fan and an even bigger Harry Potter fanfiction fan.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Super excited.
First midwife appointment + ultrasound is September 1st. Fatigue is kicking my butt.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
Welcome @knottie146d3ec8fc8eadfa! It sounds like you and I have a lot in common. We have the same due date! What kind of PhD are you working on? And what sort of spoken word art do you do? I have my PhD in English, and I used to write flash fiction, although to be honest it's been a while since I was able to set aside the time.
When you have a chance, could you try to change your username to something easier to recognize? When lots of people are named knottie1385y81305y810, it can be hard to tell people apart, and right now it's tough to tag you. Welcome to the group!
How did you find out? Got a surprise when taking a pregnancy test before I was going yo start a round of provera!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am a previous TB user. Was active in TTGP many moons ago before my first pregnancy then active in my 1st and 2nd BMBs. We're a house of girls so far. DH and I married 5/2016, SD is 10. DD1 is 2.5 (Nov '18 bmb) and *TW* DD2 is 9mo, her twin sister was stillborn, passed 6 days before our scheduled due date end of Oct '20 (Nov '20 bmb). This babe was a complete surprise and we're lovingly calling Universe baby because we feel that God/the universe decided for us. For my previous 2 pregnancies we had to use letrozole due to my PCOS so getting pregnant "accidentally" is a foreign idea I didn't think could happen for us.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Feeling better after our sating scan earlier today. Confirmed there's only 1 babe and got to see our little blob with their flutter of a HB. Still an anxious mess and battling a lot of fears and worries but excited.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
Dunno how "interesting" but I love to knit and container garden. Getting ready to can loads of tomatoes tomorrow.

TTGP December Siggy Co-Winner: Favorite Moments from Holiday Movies/TV
@lurvleybunchococonuts Congratulations! I remember you from TTGP. I am so sorry for your loss and am so happy to hear that you had a successful scan today ❤️.
How did you find out? I had been testing with thin cheapie tests for a few days (we’d been trying for 5 months at this point) and then I had a super vivid dream that I saw a positive on one of the more expensive clear blue tests, so I took one when I woke up and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
FTM , just me and my husband and two cats. We love to bike together, and get outside as much as we can. I work in Marketing as an Associate Creative Director. Luckily working from home full time, otherwise idk how I would make it!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First appointment is Tuesday 8/10, with our first US next week, so we’re thinking healthy thoughts over here! I’ve been COMPLETELY exhausted from before I tested positive. I’ve had a lot of cramping, shin splints, pregnancy brain, and over the past few days my nausea has REALLY ramped up, though I haven’t started to vomit yet. It’s like my body is in complete revolt.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
I love to knit (though I haven’t had the energy or brainpower lately). I love baseball. And my husband and I try to live a car-lite life, so we’ve been researching all the safe ways to travel with baby on a bike.
Hi everyone. I’m a little late to joining this group but better late than never I suppose.
Due date? 3/17
How did you find out? We started trying in January but then had a chemical pregnancy. I found out I needed a LEEP procedure which caused a delay in trying. We started trying again in April and started tracking my cycle. I didn’t test until my missed period though because of the previous results.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?). FTM. It’s just me and my husband. Very excited to start a family.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) So, so nauseous. I can’t wait to get through 1st trimester. Fingers crossed that part goes away. Very excited and nervous. First appointment is this Wednesday 8/11.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Just got married in October with a COVID wedding. We also moved to FL in March since we both work from home now.

My due date has changed a couple times. March 9, then 6 and most recently March 3rd. Haha
I found out because I was about 3 days late.. and I always take a test to ease my mind. I usually start the day after a negative BUT that didn’t happen this time!
I have 3 girls. I would have had 4 girls but I lost my first at 5 months old to heart defects. I have 4 dogs and a cat and a grown man who is my worst child lol Just recently I was let go from my job due to missing too many days due to horrible morning sickness.
I just started to get my energy back and my appetite under control when I started having heavy bleeding so right now I’m on bed rest. So I figured why not get to know the group?
How did you find out? We started TTC back in April (I came home from an overseas military deployment in March). I track my cycles and start testing too early (worked great with my daughter, it only took about a month of trying to get pregnant with her). I didn't expect much since I didn't have a positive ovulation test in June but the Friday before 4th of July I had a positive pregnancy test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have one daughter that will be 2 at the end of September. . . She was a week early and was only seconds old before she punched me in the face. . . And that sums up my sassy, mouthy, dramatic bossy girl. I ❤ her more than anything
My husband and I are both in the Air National Guard, the rest of the time I'm a SAHM and he's a coporate pilot. Weve been married 4 years and together 8 years. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I grew up in New England but moved to Texas in 2014.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) So nauseated all the time. B6 is helping a lot, but it still lurking in the background. Tired all the time. I'm a first trimester spotter (both pregnancies) so I'm a little anxious. Luckily my symptoms and labs just keep increasing
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I love cooking, baking, reading, gardening, puzzling, and eating! I also love to travel. I love tacos, like really love tacos.
How did you find out? We actually had to get treatment and luckily it worked the second time round. I knew that there was a chance I'd be pregnant, obviously, I had a super-looking blastocyst transferred. I didn't want to test and wait on my period to come or not. I was at a drug store during lunch break and couldn't resist. I bought a test spontaenously. Went home, we both work from home, didn't tell me partner and took it. A line!!! I actually couldn't believe my eyes, as I am slightly paranoid and assumed that our ICSI-journey may be a very long journey, which it wasn't.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) No children, no pets, but a partner that I love a lot. We like to do sports together, dine out and we both work from home, which to us is ideal
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) No symptoms at all. It leaves you wondering a lot but every single ultrasounds has been super and growth just right. Emotionally, I feel relieved, as I knew I wanted a kid and I wanted it NOW (timing!!!) as I felt the age creeping up on me (only 33, I know). I am looking forward to the challenge of being parents... but I am always a little anxious, just the way I am.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I live in Germany :) not an interesting fact but most people on this forum probably don't.
How did you find out? We started trying in March. We went through a few cycles with no luck, then got our positive test in June. I took the test and scanned it quickly afterwards, saw that it was negative and went about my day. Later I went to toss it in the trash and noticed a second line had popped up!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?). No kids or pets. Hsb is a physician and I’m a physiotherapist.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally? My nausea has thankfully settled. Just struggling now with ++ bloating and fatigue.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I’m a pelvic health PT. Feel free to ask me any q’s!
Due date? March 12th, we just got that date at our first appointment today, and my guess was only 4 days off! (March 16th)
How did you find out? I had some tenderness that lasted for a good 3 weeks, and I took the test as more of a "rule it out" thing because I was on BC due to PCOS (that my former OBGYN said would cause infertility). 4 positive tests later I had an HCG test booked and it still didn't feel real until we saw our little one on the screen this morning.
Tell us about yourself: No other kids because we were waiting until after my fiancé graduates law school and the practice is up and running/steady. We do have a Puggle that is our baby (and helping us announce!). My fiancé and I are getting married October 13th, and we're so excited to be parents. We did move our "legal" wedding up from 2023 but we're still having the ceremony/party then.
How are you feeling? I'm super excited, and grateful that it came this easily to us, even if it wasn't the timing we planned. I was expecting to struggle so this baby really is a blessing. Other than that, I'm nauseous, have headaches, and am tired but not severely.
GTKY: I have a literal reptile room, with 13 different scaly and bumpy buddies! I joke about putting a bassinet in the center for the baby (which we would never actually do!)
Hi March 2022 Moms - My name is Emily from Toronto Canada and I am so so happy to be here!
Due date is March 27
How did I find out? I finally shelled out for an expensive test after a few BFN cheapies… I knew something was cooking..!
This is my first pregnancy and first child. I’ve been married to my husband since 2015. We just started TTC this summer after settling into our first house.
I work as a Marketing Manager for a financial institution, I love being outdoors, getting involved with my community and lately really enjoying CARBS 🍝! Lol
I’ve been lurking here for a while… and to be honest I find it hard to believe I’m lucky enough to join this adventure with you all… I have to stop and pinch myself still. Seeing the heartbeat on my first ultrasound week 8 was an eye opener… it’s happening!!
GTKY: I am truly missing white claws this summer……. Have found some relief in Sanpellegrino Momenti Sparkling Soda and La Croix coconut - interested to hear everyone else’s (mom-friendly) thirst quenching summer treats

Due date? March 11th
GTKY: Twins run in my family, in fact, I am a fraternal twin. The running joke is that I will have them since everyone else in this family is done having kids. While it would be exciting.. it terrifies me lol
Due date?
March 4th
After trying for so long, we actually "took a break" from actively trying because I had a oral surgery scheduled for the middle of July. 🤣 I noticed I was a day or two late (not super uncommon for me as my cycle wasn't super regular), and my breast were very tender. I was actually out at my parents farm housesitting all of the animals so when I took the test and it was positive I had to wait two agonizing days to tell my husband.
I'm halfway through my registered nursing degree (done 2 years of 4) and am pretty nervous about finishing up my year (ends at the end of April) with a little one, but we are so excited we're hoping to make it work. We have two cats, two dogs, a bearded Dragon, a crested gecko and several fancy mice that I breed for fun. My husbands name is Kory and we were together for about 4 years before we got married. I found him a few months after getting out of a terrible (abusive) relationship and am thankful for him every day. ❤️
We are soooo excited!
I feel like I already wrote so much. 😂 I only have one fallopian tube and a million pets.
Due date: EDD of 3/23
GTKY: You know those mutts I mentioned earlier? We're trying to teach them to talk using buttons with recorded words!
I got my IUD out at the end of June because I didn't like its side effects, with intention to start TTC late this year. Looking back I'm pretty sure I ovulated around 1 week after removal. And here we are.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Combining both DH and my families.. we have almost 15 people with birthdays in March and April already. So why not add another to the bunch.
Introduce yourself:
Hey y’all I’m Ley!
I’ve been lurking a bit
Due date?
March 23rd
How did you find out?
Well of course this was the month that we had mostly written off because I was out of town for a few days but I happened to ovulate like the day i got back 🤷🏽♀️.
And then I totally expected the test to be negative when I happened to check the morning of the 16th when we were moving to our new apartment because it was negative two days before and had been for the last 7 months so we were pretty surprised 😅

When you have a chance, could you try to change your username to something easier to recognize? When lots of people are named knottie1385y81305y810, it can be hard to tell people apart, and right now it's tough to tag you. Welcome to the group!
how do i change my username?
hi! Nice to meet you!
My PhD is in sociology and a certificate in women’s and gender studies.
After you change your username, you might need to log out and back in before the change takes effect.
Sociology and women's/gender studies is so cool! I could have seen myself doing that in another life. Are you still in NY now?

How did you find out?
I had been testing with thin cheapie tests for a few days (we’d been trying for 5 months at this point) and then I had a super vivid dream that I saw a positive on one of the more expensive clear blue tests, so I took one when I woke up and it was positive!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
First appointment is Tuesday 8/10, with our first US next week, so we’re thinking healthy thoughts over here! I’ve been COMPLETELY exhausted from before I tested positive. I’ve had a lot of cramping, shin splints, pregnancy brain, and over the past few days my nausea has REALLY ramped up, though I haven’t started to vomit yet. It’s like my body is in complete revolt.
Due date? 3/17
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Just got married in October with a COVID wedding. We also moved to FL in March since we both work from home now.
My due date has changed a couple times. March 9, then 6 and most recently March 3rd. Haha
I have 3 girls. I would have had 4 girls but I lost my first at 5 months old to heart defects.
I have 4 dogs and a cat and a grown man who is my worst child lol
Just recently I was let go from my job due to missing too many days due to horrible morning sickness.
Due date?
3/11/2022
We started TTC back in April (I came home from an overseas military deployment in March). I track my cycles and start testing too early (worked great with my daughter, it only took about a month of trying to get pregnant with her). I didn't expect much since I didn't have a positive ovulation test in June but the Friday before 4th of July I had a positive pregnancy test
My husband and I are both in the Air National Guard, the rest of the time I'm a SAHM and he's a coporate pilot. Weve been married 4 years and together 8 years. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I grew up in New England but moved to Texas in 2014.
So nauseated all the time.
I will be joining the ranks of March mums :)
Due date? 4th of March

GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I’m a pelvic health PT. Feel free to ask me any q’s!
GTKY: I have a literal reptile room, with 13 different scaly and bumpy buddies! I joke about putting a bassinet in the center for the baby (which we would never actually do!)
Sending everyone happy healthy wishes
Emily
