Re: Introductions
I hope you have the most boring 9 months ❤️❤️❤️
How did you find out? About to go camping, wondering if I should pack menstrual supplies and realized my period was late. Took a test and here we are.
I am a Social Worker by trade, but have been working as an ECE since my daughter was born as it allows more work/life balance for this season of our lives.
Enjoying the early stages before I tell anyone or call my RE. We are in the middle of infertility treatment, and actually took last month off as a break between cycles of IUI. My daughter took us 5 years to conceive, and now it’s been another 5 years to have this positive test.
In hindsight, my period is late, I’ve had acid reflux every day, and have been exhausted - falling asleep while reading my daughter books at bedtime this past week.
TW: We had many, many losses while trying for our daughter, including one second tri loss. This is my first positive test since she was born. I’m in a bit of disbelief, and posting here to commit and help it feel real! After 5 years of nothing, this was our last go so we could have some closure and know that we had tried one last time before accepting that our daughter would be an only child.
GTKY: I live in Northern Ontario, where it snows from October to May. I love cold weather, and our family spends a lot of time outdoors!
How do you find the age gap between your two? My daughter has been asking for a sibling for years, I know she will be ecstatic. I feel like the 6 year age gap may actually be quite nice!
It looks like you have had quite the journey TTC yourself. Congratulations!
How interesting that you conceived her the cycle between treatment - my first daughter was the same. 3 rounds of femera, three rounds of IUI, and the month that we took a break before IVF - there she was!
Due date? March 23. If I've calculated right, I am 3 weeks and 4 days. My period isn't even late yet.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I used to play competitive bridge, is that interesting? I would go to large tournaments and I was always the youngest person in the room by like 30 years. I loved it, but there hasn't been a lot of time for that since my son was born. I also love to knit and embroider, and I'm a huge book lover.
ETA: my F19 bump group has been the greatest community for me, and I am still so close with them. I can't imagine how I would have gotten through the newborn days without them! So I'm very excited to get to join a new bump group :-)
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I coach a youth canoe team.

My rainbow girl was my 4th pregnancy (DD1 was 5.5 when DD2 was born). We had 2 losses between them, and this is pregnancy #7 for me (so 2 losses after my rainbow girl before we got to this one). I found the stress never left or diminished the entire pregnancy with #2. I'm anticipating the same this time around but I find having @gembud here with me is actually making me feel calmer and more confident. I don't know if your losses were consecutive but all the reading I've done says it is very rare to have 3 consecutive losses...so I'm leaning on those stats right now 😅
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Due date?
March 25
We were supposed to start trying in September.
Oopsie.
My gut was telling me I Am pregnant.
Right on cue for implantation, cramping and spotting.
Nearly threw up making my son salmon for supper last night.
DH came home from work this AM and walked in on me POAS.
I told him that sucked that he showed up, because it's not the way I wanted to tell him hahaha.
We have 1 son (22mo) and 2 angel babies. We have a dog we rescued who is the sweetest girl ever, despite her previous abuse.
We are both paramedics.
I love to Travel, swim, and go for walks, and watch my son learn and explore. Cuddles with him are the best thing ever.
Excited. Nervous. TW* I had 2 losses so I was nervous my whole last pregnancy* end TW
First appointment will likely be in the next 10 days or so. My OB will want me in as soon as possible.
I'm super sensitive to smells at the moment. Cramping today again too.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
I don't think there is much interesting about me haha.
I can do the splits.
Im super accident prone.
My bucket list includes travelling to every continent
Congrats everyone!
feeling nervous to get excited.

Due date? March 21st.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I LOVE to karaoke to Celine Dion songs! I'm a terrible singer, but I put on a bit of a comedy act and it's so much fun. I just did my first Celine song in French (Tous les secrets) and it was a blast.
Due date?
3/20 ish
We've been trying for over a year so i'm meticulously tracking my cycle. I tested at 11dpo and got a faint line. It's been getting darker over the weekend so i'm hopeful! I told my husband in a very matter of fact way (neither of us are big on "cute") and he's reserved but excited.
I have one DD, she's 2.5 and hilarious. I'm a manager for a language interpreting team at a hospital. My husband is a microbiologist. We like to be outside and hike, kayak, and play at the park!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Oye. First appt is next week, it'll just be the intake, no US yet. I'm having symptoms, seemingly early to me.. but maybe normal. I'm low level nauseous, crampy, and MOOOODDYYYY whoooo boy. I feel like i have no patience, which i'm not enjoying about myself.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but at the same time, early pregnancy is soooo consuming it's difficult. I'll feel slightly better after an US. For all the losses, we've never gotten to a heartbeat, so i think i'll feel a little more settled when we get to that point. Fingers crossed.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself
I perform weddings as a hobby!
@elle-0409 Hi! Nice to see that you joined!
Due date? March 19, 2022
**TW**
I had a chemical pregnancy in May of this year. It was my first loss. Its made me more cautiously optimistic about this pregnancy and I am praying and praying for a sticky baby! The lines on the tests are getting darker and we all know that's a good sign!
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I am a personal development junkie. I listen to all of the podcasts and the audiobooks. I probably go through 2 audiobooks a week conservatively. My favourite podcast lately has been Oprah's Super Soul Conversations (am I a mom or what?!)
Due date? 3/26
I'm 34, and DH and I have two littler girls who are 5 and 2 (almost three). My Sep18 Bump group was amazing and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone! It was an amazing group of ladies. I'm an attorney who went from daily hearings/trials to ZOOM Court when Covid began, and we still haven't gone back- so it keeps me busy! We have a retired show dog standard poodle who thinks he's a child and probably as manipulative as a toddler.
***TW* I will likely be more of a lurker until I see progression on the tests. I have a short LP that resulted in quite a few CP's before my oldest daughter stuck when I learned of B6. My youngest we got lucky that I began my B6 a month or two ahead of intentionally trying and it worked. This time around we agreed that I wouldn't begin B6 until O, and see if my body had changed at all, so I am not at all convinced that I'll be staying. We'll see. END TW***
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! --hmmmm.. Well we just moved into our long term home the other month and I can def confirm that Covid Real estate market is insanity and I am so happy to be done with buying and selling!! Also, I've never been into Podcasts but recently got into Armchair Expert and I love it!!
