@runningonindie i keep seeing ads for Pink Blush...I'll check that out. And I definitely got that vibe from Shein. Reminds me of Wish? Prices seemed too good to be true
@emeraldcity1214 I'm on Amazon now... actually pretty surprised at some of the cute suits. It would be great if I could find something there because at least returns are easy! I don't know why I never think of Amazon for clothing.
@kissyfir1586 here is the suit I bought. It says it fits small so I ordered 2 sizes, a small and large. My butt needs the large and my chest needs the small. 😆
@emeraldcity1214 lol love the suit! It's nice the top is covered up a bit. Some of these suits are just ridiculous with the cleavage situation. I know my luck, and any plunging neckline would result in an embarrassing pool catastrophe!
Side rant - why don't more swimsuits (in general, not just maternity) come with bras built in? And those removable pads are not it 🙄. After three babies, I need some help in the bust department.
I've run out of clothes that fit lately, too! I just got an order of Shein stuff in yesterday, and everything's fine. I got a couple of flowy midi non-maternity skirts that I hope will get me through the summer and be usable for future non-pregnant springs and summers, along with another pair of maternity bike shorts (LOOOOVE), and a maternity pencil skirt (not sure about that one, maybe with some belly-friendly spanks, or when my bump is bigger and more forward). I still have not been able to find a pair of denim maternity shorts that fit the way I want. I got a pair from Target that I'll be returning because they are awful. I have another flowy skirt and a maternity swimsuit from Amazon arriving today!
Has anyone caved and purchased maternity underwear? I recently upgraded my undies drawer to mostly MeUndies, which are awesome, but the waistband is on the tighter side, so they're starting to dig in. I never bought maternity underwear for my first pregnancy, but I'm already thinking about it now for this one.
@Aerialmrs I've never bought maternity underwear but last pregnancy at some point I just bought a handful from Target in a size up with the 5 for $25 or whatever their deal is. Right now I have a lot of Gap undies I just got that are pretty stretchy so I think those will last me through.

@Aerialmrs I bought some maternity underwear from Motherhood Maternity, they had one of the 5-for-25 deals on at the time. They have a lot of give around the waistband, so there's room to expand
@Aerialmrs They're currently 5 for $30. I second these! I got some of the V cut style last pregnancy and still wear them (continued to even when not pregnant). I got some of the fold over ones this pregnancy because I needed to bump up an order for free shipping and they're ok, but there's like, a lot of fabric there!
@Aerialmrs I didn’t buy maternity undies but I sized up in a pair of microfiber high waisted panties from Macy’s. They haven’t arrived yet but when I do I’ll give you my opinion! The brand is called “Warner’s No Pinches No Problems” which I had never heard of before but they look to be exactly what I need at the moment. Screenshot attached.
Who believes in the old wives tale that acid reflux/heartburn = baby with lots of hair? Because my kid came out like a Freakshow and I had wicked heartburn the entire pregnancy and this week it’s really starting to ramp up again so if this gal is anything like her sister, she’s coming out with some long locks!!!!! Pass the Pepcid.
Wondering if anyone has experienced very annoying butt cramps while sleeping on their side? Any good tips for alleviating? (sorry about my user name btw, I can't figure out how to change it lol)
I had horrible heartburn with DS1, and he came out with a full head of hair that stood up in every direction. I don't remember it so much with DS2, who was pretty bald! The heartburn with this one has been pretty bad - popping tums like candy.
horrible heartburn with my last two and both had a decent amount of hair...so far the heartburn hasn't started yet..I'm usually good until around third trimester thankfully!
I did have heartburn for at least the entire 3rd tri with my first, and he was almost completely bald until he was almost 2! I'm already popping tums when I go to bed with this one... as soon as I lay down I instantly have acid in my throat.
Does anyone have HD insurance? My family deductible is high ($4k) but prenatal care is supposed to be 100% covered. I’m already about $2,500 OOP for this pregnancy so I started to look closer at my bills. My insurance paid $1.68 for my last OB appt (billed $125) and now I’m confused how that is 100% covered.
Obviously I’m going to call my insurance but just wondering is there is anyone else with a high deductible plan experiencing this. Last pregnancy I didn’t pay anything OOP to my OB but did get billed 20% for my MFM appts. I don’t remember even paying anything to the hospital for delivery but it’s been a while.
@paulpaw I don’t anymore but I did before- I thought the regular OB appointments were covered but the extra stuff wasn’t - the ultrasounds and MFM etc. we paid $2500 for DS2s delivery in the hospital
@paulpaw I have a HD plan but so far I've only paid about $300...I'm pretty bad at looking over stuff though - I have no idea what the $$ was billed for. Last year I had the same plan and paid about $3000 after the hospital stay, but that was with a c-section.
Has anyone used belly bands before (I think that’s what they’re called)? I’m finding that by the end of the day my belly feels so heavy and sore. I’m hoping to find something that will help cause it’s only going to get worse! 😕
@muggsd I actually bought some blanqi (I don’t know how to spell it 🤷🏻♀️) leggings and they are so supportive. I have 2 pair and I’m thinking about buying a third. It was worth the price plus that’s pretty much what I will live in over the summer. Unless I’m at the lake. I will wear whatever to the lake that isn’t hot.
@paulpaw we are on a high deductible plan and my OB appointments are covered but blood work and ultrasounds are covered by the deductible. So they say they are covered but they really just go towards your deductible. There might be a negotiated charge that the insurance plan covers so you're paying less but it's still out of pocket until you hit your deductible. My dating u/s and follow up u/s from the low heart rate were both $320. Even just the regular baseline prenatal blood work was like $200. Super frustrating but by the time we deliver we will have definitely met the deductible and maybe out of pocket max.
Last time we hit out out of pocket max with my delivery, thankfully, because the NICU bill (which didn't include MRI's, 24/7 EEG monitoring or the ambulance) was $88,000 and it was 100% paid for by insurance.

@krash_ thank you! I knew I’d hit OOP max this year but didn’t expect to hit deductible before delivery. My bloodwork alone billed $1005 and I looked into it, the A1C test alone was over $700!
@paulpaw I called insurance before doing the NIPT testing to make sure it was covered and they told me it was but the cost toward my deductible is $750, didn't know it would be that much until I got the bill from Natera. I figure we're going to pay it at some point this year might as well hit the deductible sooner and get more things covered later in the year.

@runningonindie I live in those leggings. They were a little pricier than I would have liked but man are they comfortable. When I get big they will definitely be good for my back and my hips.
@krash_ I haven’t even received my NIPT bill yet, maybe that’ll push me the last bit until my deductible. I did change to a more aggressive HSA contribution, I probably should have done that earlier!
I can say, twins make it worse. My first 4 pregnancies were nothing compared to what it's like now. I have to keep snacks around, my biggest craving is salt. I keep a bag of chips around for salt cravings. It feels like I can never ever get enough. I'll eat, and be hungry almost instantly afterwards. I usually take walks in the morning, and, that's all I can do for the remainder of the day. I usually only have a few hours of energy and then the rest of the day I'm wiped. I've got 4 other kids to take care of and I am barely able to stay up. My DH tends to take a lot of the responsibility during the day since everyone is working from home these days... So, to answer your question, nope, no clue why we are always hungry, and, no clue why we are always so tired.
@runningonindie I’m also not 100% sure, but I had one with my last pregnancy and this one is exactly the same. All the movement I feel is on the sides or very low, and it’s not very regular. My midwife also struggles to find the heartbeat on the Doppler cause my placenta is in the way!
It’s sooooooo sparse and so faint for me. I’m just holding out til my anatomy scan (only a few more days now) especially since I know it’s early, but this is really a mind-trip..... by 20 weeks I was feeling DD all day every day! I can’t believe this! Ugh. I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’m over thinking about it too.
@runningonindie I started feeling random movement a few weeks ago (I'm 19w5d today), but it was very light and I had to be sitting/laying still and I could sometimes feel it. Not consistent or regular at all, it was very sparse. Just within the last week I've been feeling bigger movement and more frequently. I actually saw it from the outside for the first time a few days ago! I'm feeling it really high, really low, and on the far sides so I think my placenta is smack dab in the middle lol with my other 3 I felt consistent movement so much earlier (I feel like it's earlier than most people do) so it's been so strange this time. Definitely making it harder to feel pregnant (I just feel like I look fat), and harder to feel connected to this babe.
@runningonindie I know it's hard to do - but I would try not to worry about not feeling regular movement at this point. Really until about 24-26 weeks it's more common to not feel regular movement than feel it! I definitely don't feel any consistent movement (18 weeks) - just some light flutters every so often and I do not have an anterior placenta. Our bodies change between pregnancies and every little baby is different!
Mine is anterior this time around and my OB said not to expect to feel movement until 20+ weeks. The placenta is cushioning a big part of where it’s normal to feel kicks, so until baby’s bones start to solidify the kicks aren’t strong enough to feel through the cushion. When I do feel her it’s less kicks and more of a rolling feeling.

It does the job, but I have no idea if there are better options out there. I like that it's big and wide in the back. I don't think I need to wear it all the time yet, but this baby just feels so low still I realize I'm constantly pulling my belly up with my hands if I'm not wearing it.
