@JamieH2000 yay! That is so exciting! I hope your appt goes well on Tuesday, FX for you!! ❤️
  • @mommaduck2490
As long as your progesterone is over 20, you should be fine! And if not, they can either give you some suppositories or the lovely progesterone injection. Since I did an embryo transfer, I'm on progesterone shots until 12 weeks to keep my levels nice and high. Excellent that you had a good appointment! I'm starting to get a little nervous for mine next week!

  • Went yesterday & confirmed - bloodwork, ultrasound, etc. I was exactly 5 weeks yesterday & little bean was snuggled toward the back of my uterus, a little hard to see. I go back tomorrow for beta & progesterone levels again. I’m a little anxious because there is talk of progesterone supplements, but only the bloodwork will tell!!
It's a normal reaction. Is it your first time? don't be afraid, everything will be okay. Stay safe and healthy!
  • @scaredunprepared sounds like what I have in Delaware with my first two.  This time around I would settle for someone to just call me back so I can even make an appointment! I called every single day this week and have gotten zero reply. SO FRUSTRATING!

@scaredunprepared ugh that sounds frustrating! Luckily my place does it all in one day. They are separate appts, but at least we can just chill in the waiting area in between. I hope you’re able to schedule all of your appts in the most convenient way possible that week!!
  • rgn12rgn12 member
@misshelen86 yessss, I agree waiting is so hard. FX for a healthy peanut at your scan in a couple weeks!! ❤️
  • @srprins1987 wow that's even more frustrating than my experience!  Can you call your PCP and ask for a referral to a different obgyn?
  • @scaredunprepared I think that’s where I am at!! The docs are great but the administrative staff left a bad taste in my mouth after my second pregnancy so a change might be for the best!

  • @srprins1987 I wouldn't blame you!

@srprins1987 I hope you find a better fit!! FX for you!
  • rgn12rgn12 member
    @therealfrizzle FX for you!! ❤️
  • @therealfrizzle FX!! I can't wait to hear how it goes!!
  • @JamieH2000
Yay for good scans!! I thought everyone who is negative had to get rhogam at some point, spotting or not? I don't know all the details about it, though. At this point, with the way things are going with the new variant of covid, I'd recommend getting it sooner rather than later as well. The new variant is more dangerous and infectious - and pregnant women are already high risk.

Celebrate with a glass of sparkling apple juice tonight!

  • @mbradfo2- yes everyone who is RH negative will need the rhogam shot- usually after delivery, so you don't form antibodies for the next baby usually. But if you spot (blood could mix with the baby in utero) they do the shot then too. But I will still get another one at delivery. Not fun, but YAY for science!!!

  • @srprins1987 I hate those waits! But so glad you had a good appointment and are happy with your new OB!
  • @srprins1987- ugh the wait to see HB is the worst. Hopefully the blood levels will be reassuring! I know multiple people who have gotten pregnant the month after IUD came out (some with no period even) and they all worked out!

  • @JamieH2000 I’m so glad everything went well at your appointment!

@srprins1987 I’m glad you like your new OB! I’m switching providers this time around too to go with a small group instead of a solo practitioner and I’m a little nervous about it. I hope the wait for 7 weeks goes fast!

Re: rhogam<div class="Spoiler">That is interesting.  I spotted with DD on and off till 10 weeks, and no one said anything about getting the rhogam.  I got it later on in both pregnancies - I want to say about 28 weeks, and then again after delivery.  Which I thought seemed a bit excessive, but they said that's what they do.  I wonder why they didn't mention it when I had the spotting tho.... 🤔

ETA incidentally, DD2 was Combs positive when she arrives, but they also said it can be caused by the rhogam shot.</div>
