@JamieH2000 Awesome numbers!! You see, you aren't that far behind me Snuggle in, baby girl!
My first appointment is next Friday 4/16 for a scan to check on things and see a HB (FX). For me, getting to the HB is 90 percent of the work so I'm pretty anxious about it. If that's good, I'll have scans weekly until a final scan on week 10. And then I need to set up my OB appointment for 12 weeks.

Went yesterday & confirmed - bloodwork, ultrasound, etc. I was exactly 5 weeks yesterday & little bean was snuggled toward the back of my uterus, a little hard to see. I go back tomorrow for beta & progesterone levels again. I’m a little anxious because there is talk of progesterone supplements, but only the bloodwork will tell!!
@mommaduck2490 As long as your progesterone is over 20, you should be fine! And if not, they can either give you some suppositories or the lovely progesterone injection. Since I did an embryo transfer, I'm on progesterone shots until 12 weeks to keep my levels nice and high. Excellent that you had a good appointment! I'm starting to get a little nervous for mine next week!

It's a normal reaction. Is it your first time? don't be afraid, everything will be okay. Stay safe and healthy!
My first OB appointment is scheduled for 4/29. Just the basic initial prenatal appointment when basically nothing happens and it's a waste of time. I pee in a cup, get a PAP, the doc talks about BF, and I get a bunch of useless pamphlets. Does anyone else's OB do this?
I have to then schedule an ultrasound for another time at a completely different location, THEN I get to schedule another appointment with Maternal fetal medicine since I'm high risk. That's 3 appointments in 1 week. I think it's crazy I can't just get it all done in 1 shot!
@scaredunprepared sounds like what I have in Delaware with my first two. This time around I would settle for someone to just call me back so I can even make an appointment! I called every single day this week and have gotten zero reply. SO FRUSTRATING!
@scaredunprepared ugh that sounds frustrating! Luckily my place does it all in one day. They are separate appts, but at least we can just chill in the waiting area in between. I hope you’re able to schedule all of your appts in the most convenient way possible that week!!
First ultrasound is scheduled for April 21 at exactly 7 weeks! Hoping there is a heartbeat and everything looks ok 🤞 The waiting is so hard!
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018
Dx: MFI 10/19- First RE visit 2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles 7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN 9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal 11/20- Mock transfer/ERA 12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN 3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! @misshelen86 I always think that the wait from beta to ultrasound is the WORST TWW. Find something to keep yourself busy and distracted! With my daughter, I researched adopting a kitten and was looking forward to that whatever happened at the scan. This time I'm working on gathering the materials to refurbish my old dollhouse. Need to go pick some colors and fabric this weekend.

@scaredunprepared I think that’s where I am at!! The docs are great but the administrative staff left a bad taste in my mouth after my second pregnancy so a change might be for the best!
I don't currently have insurance, waiting for medicaid to approve my application, but in the meantime I was able to schedule a U/S with a local crisis center. They may not be able to perform one depending on how far along I am, but I really hope so. I'm so anxious to see this little baby. It's been really surreal that I'm pregnant and I feel like my BFP was really early in my cycle and would love to have a better idea of where we're at.

I just had my first scan today at 5+6 and everything was measuring right on track for the gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole. It was a bit hectic of a morning, as last night I had very light brown spotting. My clinic is over 1 hour away, so i messaged my nurse asking if I needed a rhogam shot (since I am B Neg and last time I spotted during early pregnancy, i did have to get the shot). She messaged me back right as I was leaving the clinic, and said I did need the shot, but they had just used the last one there this morning! So I had to drive another 35 mins further to another clinic to get the shot! But its all worth it... I did a zoom with my RE right now and she was happy about everything. I asked her about the covid shot and agreed I should get it (likely Pfizer or Moderna given the J&J news today). I will probably wait until I see the heartbeat next week and then try to schedule something around 8/9 weeks...

@JamieH2000 Yay for good scans!! I thought everyone who is negative had to get rhogam at some point, spotting or not? I don't know all the details about it, though. At this point, with the way things are going with the new variant of covid, I'd recommend getting it sooner rather than later as well. The new variant is more dangerous and infectious - and pregnant women are already high risk.
Celebrate with a glass of sparkling apple juice tonight!

@mbradfo2- yes everyone who is RH negative will need the rhogam shot- usually after delivery, so you don't form antibodies for the next baby usually. But if you spot (blood could mix with the baby in utero) they do the shot then too. But I will still get another one at delivery. Not fun, but YAY for science!!!

Had my first appointment with my new OB today and fell in love! I’m so glad I made the switch! Did some blood work to check levels so hoping to hear back soon that things are on track. She wants to be a little extra cautious because I just had my IUD out March 8, had my first period in 2 years March 10 and then got pregnant right after so because my body hasn’t fully cycled in a while it COULD lead to a miscarriage so hopefully everything comes back good and she will do a scan at 7 weeks to confirm we are in track! This is definitely going to be a looong 2 weeks for me waiting for that scan to see that the little bean is doing ok!
@srprins1987- ugh the wait to see HB is the worst. Hopefully the blood levels will be reassuring! I know multiple people who have gotten pregnant the month after IUD came out (some with no period even) and they all worked out!

@srprins1987 I’m glad you like your new OB! I’m switching providers this time around too to go with a small group instead of a solo practitioner and I’m a little nervous about it. I hope the wait for 7 weeks goes fast!
Just got back from the RE's office -- everything went well (and I'm still in a bit of shock from that). Baby is chugging along in there with a HB of 132 which my RE said was fabulous at this gestation. Nothing unusual noted on ultrasound like SCH/etc. My RE calls this, "A good start!" I feel relief and anxious at the same time.
I'll be back in another week for my 8 week scan...that's the next triggering one for me since at that scan we found out one of the twins stopped developing.

@JamieH2000. **lurking** Re: rhogam<div class="Spoiler">That is interesting. I spotted with DD on and off till 10 weeks, and no one said anything about getting the rhogam. I got it later on in both pregnancies - I want to say about 28 weeks, and then again after delivery. Which I thought seemed a bit excessive, but they said that's what they do. I wonder why they didn't mention it when I had the spotting tho.... 🤔
ETA incidentally, DD2 was Combs positive when she arrives, but they also said it can be caused by the rhogam shot.</div>

As long as your progesterone is over 20, you should be fine! And if not, they can either give you some suppositories or the lovely progesterone injection. Since I did an embryo transfer, I'm on progesterone shots until 12 weeks to keep my levels nice and high. Excellent that you had a good appointment! I'm starting to get a little nervous for mine next week!

I have to then schedule an ultrasound for another time at a completely different location, THEN I get to schedule another appointment with Maternal fetal medicine since I'm high risk. That's 3 appointments in 1 week. I think it's crazy I can't just get it all done in 1 shot!

I always think that the wait from beta to ultrasound is the WORST TWW. Find something to keep yourself busy and distracted! With my daughter, I researched adopting a kitten and was looking forward to that whatever happened at the scan. This time I'm working on gathering the materials to refurbish my old dollhouse. Need to go pick some colors and fabric this weekend.

Back for # 2!
Yay for good scans!!

@srprins1987 I’m glad you like your new OB! I’m switching providers this time around too to go with a small group instead of a solo practitioner and I’m a little nervous about it. I hope the wait for 7 weeks goes fast!
I'll be back in another week for my 8 week scan...that's the next triggering one for me since at that scan we found out one of the twins stopped developing.

Re: rhogam<div class="Spoiler">That is interesting.
