  • @nlc_atx I'm so glad your bleeding stopped and that you are getting strong symptoms. The nausea is so bittersweet 😆
  • @mrs_massie yay! That is great news! Glad the dr is so confident it will stop.
  • Woke up this morning to some brown spotting. I had an us on Wednesday so hoping it's just from that. I'm feeling queasy today but can't tell if it's pregnancy or anxiety.

    **Tw** previous mc mentioned
My 3 mcs all started with brown spotting, and my 2 successful pregnancies had red bleeding that eventually turned to brown. Seeing brown first puts me on edge
  • @_orchid_ FX your spotting stops soon, hopefully it is just from the U/S irritating your cervix

  • @_orchid_ I had spotting after my first ultrasound with my last pregnancy. FX thats all it is for you too.
  • @_orchid_ Oh no! I can understand how that's scary. Just try to remember that spotting, whether red or brown, is totally normal.
  • @_orchid_ It's totally normal to have a bit of spotting after a TV ultrasound so my fingers are crossed so hard that that's what it was! Sending you all the love and good vibes!

  • @_orchid_ im sorry your still having brown spotting friend. I hope it stops for you. I hope your appt on Monday goes well and all is ok. Keep us posted!
  • @_orchid_ Hope you have a restful weekend and the appointment on Monday goes well! Brown spotting is normal. I have had it a few times and mentioned it at my appointment on Wednesday. He said as long as it wasn’t bleeding he was keeping me on the baby aspirin. So I guess indirectly he was saying it might be the cause? He was very not concerned about the brown spotting at all. He said even just throwing up can cause it.
  • @ramzlau thanks for sharing! That makes me feel a lot better. This is my first time taking baby aspirin so things will be different
  • @_orchid_ I hope your appointment on Monday is able to provide you with some answers and hopefully some peace of mind. Take it easy this weekend.

  • Had some spotting yesterday morning, but we'd just had sex the night before, so that might have contributed. Even though I had spotting with my last successful pregnancy, it always brings back memories of my CP. So I was slightly freaking out all day, but today I feel more calm. Probably because I'm sick as a dog.
  • @_orchid_ Glad your appointment went well! I'd assume that baby aspirin could definitely exacerbate it as it thins your blood, but glad your doctor could confirm
  • @_orchid_ so glad to hear your appointment went well today and all looks fine.
  • @_orchid_ I'm so glad to read this update. Hopefully it put your mind at ease. Sending you all the good vibes!

  • Just had some bleeding. It was a little more than spotting. We did have sex this morning so not sure if that’s the cause. Never had any bleeding my first pregnancy. Hoping it stops by morning and it was just from having sex. So nerve wracking.
  • @hstaples4 sorry you had some bleeding this evening. I hope by morning it has stopped and there is nothing to worry about.
  • @MelissaMay82 thinking of you! Hope the pink is gone
@hstaples4 oh no! I hope it was just from sex and it stops for you this morning. Fx the bleeding is done

This morning it’s a tinge of brown when I wipe. I’ll call my doctors office when they open in a couple hours. I have my first OB appointment on Friday. Maybe they can bump me up. And I’m not cramping at all. Woke up nauseas and still have sore boobs.
  • @hstaples4 Definitely tell your doctor, but light, brown spotting is very common and usually not a concern, particularly if you're not experiencing other symptoms like cramping. It's usually old blood that is slowly getting flushed out by the CM. (this is what I was told during my last pregnancy when I had very light brown spotting at 6 weeks)
  • I called the doctors office. They didn’t seem too concerned and told me to watch it through out the day. But she’s thinking sex irritated my cervix and caused it. Right now it’s still just a little brown when I wipe and that’s it. My appointment is Friday which can’t get here soon enough!
  • @hstaples4 Like @akoros said, the brown spotting is nothing to worry about but it's hard not to be anxious.  Friday will be here soon and hopefully the appt will be reassuring.

  • Hi there,

TWIGGER WARNING - POSSIBLE MISSED MISCARRIAGE:

I hope this is an okay place to post my concern, as it isn't really to do with spotting. I had a positive early pregnancy test on October 8 (and then several subsequent ones over next few days). I had tracked period and ovulation and was pretty sure my due date was June 19 (making me about 8 weeks today). I went for an ultrasound at just over 5 weeks and they saw a sac. Levels were normal. Yesterday I went for an 8 week ultrasound expecting to see baby and heartbeat, but I was measuring at 6+1, she said she could not clearly see or hear the heartbeat.

LMP was around September 11. I know I ovulated late and the patterns were off (tested high for over 5 days), so that could account for a few days, but we didn't TTC after September 26, so the dates can't be two full weeks off. Especially based off when the test was positive.

I have another ultrasound on Thursday and I'm preparing myself for the worst / next steps. I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar position with positive news? I know my dates can't be too far off, but is it possible baby is just a little bit behind and can catch up? I'm concerned there was no heartbeat. My doctor did not seem overly confident but said it was too early to say for sure.

It's my first pregnancy and I'm gutted. Having a hard time staying positive. Waiting until Thursday just feels like torture, so hope to get some insight either way so I don't drive myself crazy.

    Thanks for your help :)
  • @ellenibnyc hi there- I'm so sorry you are going through this. Fingers crossed everything is okay! but if it isn't please be kind to yourself and take all the time you need to heal
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @ellenibnyc sorry you’re going through this stress. If you were measuring 6+1 that’s usually too early to find a HB. Even if you stopped TTC, the sperm can hang around for several days so it’s hard to really know. The only thing you can do is go in for more US to see the progression. In these situations where it’s unclear, I hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. A lot of ladies here have been through the same thing so don’t feel alone.
  • @wendy838 & @ruemcclanahan thank you both! The waiting is the worst part so I appreciate your kind words. Fingers crossed for the best, but yes, also mentally preparing for the worst.
  • @ellenibnyc I'm so sorry you are going through this. Take it day by day until Thursday- there is really nothing you can do to affect the outcome, so just taking care of yourself is important. Thinking of you FX
  • @ellenibnyc I’m sorry you’re going through this. As others have said, be cautiously optimistic, but remember there is nothing you can do to change the outcome. Try to take care of yourself the next few days. We are here if you need to get any thoughts out or need to share how you’re feeling.
  • Just started spotting for the first time yesterday evening. That, along with the fact my pregnancy symptoms are really
minor, is really messing with my mind. It’s pretty minimal though, and I don’t have any cramping or anything else weird going on. My first appointment is on Thursday, so next week is shaping up to be the longest ever.

I also ride my Peloton daily... I’m assuming I should probably stop, just out of an abundance of caution? What do you guys think?
  • @Lisa3379 I would call your OB office on Monday. They may move up your appointment depending on the spotting color and frequency (red spotting vs pink or brown). They could also tell your about your biking. I asked my doctor at my 8 week check up and she said spin biking (if it was something you did before pregnancy) can actually be a good exercise option. But I have not had any spotting this pregnancy (I did at 6 weeks with DS). Hoping your OBs office can help you feel better!

  • @Lisa3379 to second what @DoubleUp8 said, I would definitely go ahead and call tomorrow. They could hopefully get you in sooner, and answer any questions.  Sending you ❤❤
  • @Lisa3379 im so sorry you have started spotting. I hope all is ok at your appt on Thursday. FX for you. I know waiting for thurs will seem like an eternity. Its good you arnt cramping. Personally, I would stop riding your peloton untill you get checked out. I found that anytime I was bleeding or spotting and did exercising, it would aggrevate it and make it worse.
