  • @inthewoods23 how did your dr. apointment go?
  • @inthewoods23 Well im really glad that at least baby is there and well. I wonder if the RE isnt as familiar with measuring for the purpose of dating being that they usually have more exact data for pinpointing how far along we are. Fx you fair better with the OB

  • @inthewoods23 oh no, are you being put on supplements?

  • @jaztastic I started suppositories last week when it was 7.7, it's 6.14 now. They want it around 15.

@ramzlau yes, they want me to do it twice a day now 12 hours apart. Considering popping one in at lunch and then just putting another one in before bed. 10 hours is close enough to 12.

  • @inthewoods23 I am on two a day as well! And yes I would do the one at lunch and then the other before bed for today. And invest in panty liners (those things have stained so many of my leggings!).
  • @inthewoods23 FX that the twice a day suppositories do the trick ❤️ First trimester is such a MF. I had to use them for a few months last pregnancy and I just really disliked them so much.
  • @inthewoods23 im currently on Endometrin 100mg tablet suppositories, taking 2 tablets 2x daily (400mg/day). I think going to 2x a day is a good call, and I would even ask about increasing the mgs per dose to see if they think that would help.

  • @inthewoods23 I'm sorry that is so nerve wracking.  ❤❤ FX the increased dose helps. Also keep in mind that progesterone fluctuates a lot throughout the day/ depending on if you've eaten or not. I had one level taken right before a meal and then a recheck a couple days later right after a meal and it was 10 points lower.
  • @inthewoods23 I hope the twice a day works for you. 🤞
  • @inthewoods23 so sorry your going through all that. FX these suppositories help do the trick and bring up the level.
  • @inthewoods23 I know you were feeling much better after the us yesterday, so this news is probably a hit. Today you are pregnant! I hope the twice daily dose will help get the numbers up.
  • Hi,

I've had a couple of days of brown spotting when I wiped and it is now pink and also on a pantyliner. I'm also having mild lower abdominal cramps/discomfort. Trying to take it easy but that's nearly impossible with two kids.

I've had 3 CP's since Dec so I'm not sure what to think or how to feel. I'm also 40+ so if this does not work out, we are most likely done. My first appointment isn't until I'm 10 weeks and I'm only 4+5!

  • @notawhoops I’m so sorry your spotting. A 10 week appointment is so far from now 😔. FX that the spotting and cramps stop soon.
  • I’m spotting today still. I never had blood with any of my previous three pregnancies so this is a serious MF for me. Trying to not overthink everything. Take this one day at a time. My hcg came back as 327.9 which is up from 120, so that’s still good. More bloodwork tomorrow.
  • @inthewoods23 I hope the twice a day suppositories help bring up your number. When do you get your labs drawn again?

@notawhoops and @hillbillywife FX your spotting stops soon, sending positive thoughts your way

@notawhoops im sorry your spotting and having cramping pain. I really hope it stops for you soon. They can't get you in sooner then 10 weeks?? especially if your spotting.
  • @MelissaMay82 not for 2 weeks I guess since that's when the RE wanted me to come back 🤷‍♀️

  • @notawhoops I'm sorry you are spotting. Is there any chance you can call your Dr and ask for bloodwork? Especially since you had CPs. Either way I hope the spotting stops!

@hillbillywife I'm sorry you are still spotting as well! Your beta rise looks good, maybe mention the spotting when you're getting blood drawn tomorrow?
  • @inthewoods23 I hope the twice a day helps raise your numbers and your visit with the regular OB nurse helps give you more information and peace of mind than your RE.

@notawhoops and @hillbillywife I hope your spotting stops. I had red bleeding with my last pregnancy at 6w 1d and 6w 3d, and it was so scary. I called my OB's office and they had me come in for an u/s, and my son was just fine. He is almost 6 years old and still likes to give me a scare. I hope you both have a happy ending as well. I hope bloodwork and your doctors can help you feel better.

  • Thank you alll! I like the mantra “I’m pregnant today” that someone posted a while ago. I didn’t ask at my bloodwork today but trying to remain positive that old blood and some cramping can be normal in early pregnancy.
  • @inthewoods23 @hillbillywife I had brown spotting everyday for weeks during my first pregnancy and it caused me so much anxiety but the nurse kept assuring me it was fine.  It was just old blood.  Still, it made me so nervous.

  • @inthewoods23 usually brown = old blood and is ok. Can you can your RE to find out if cervix irritation is common with the suppositories? I'd probably call them regardless to let them know if you're spotting
  • @_orchid_ I've read that the suppositories can cause irritation. I've done twice a day suppositories before (both as the compound kind I have now and the Endometrin tablets), but have never had brown spotting so I can only guess that it's more likely when you're actually pregnant.

I'll inform the nurse tomorrow at my intake appointment call. I'm hoping when I explain all the weird uncertainties from the USs with my RE that they'll do another just to be sure things are progressing okay. No f*cking way at this point do I want to wait until 20 weeks for another US.

  • @inthewoods23 I’m currently taking estrogen as a suppository and have had some brown spotting, my nurse said it’s common that the suppositories irritate your cervix or the other skin and can cause bleeding
  • @inthewoods23 I didn't realize your intake is tomorrow, that's great timing. Yeah I'm sure if you tell them the RE's measurements were inconsistent and you have spotting they'll do an US. FX they do!!
  • Still spotting today and it seems to be increasing. Called and they can see me earlier so I have an appointment in two weeks. It's better than waiting five weeks but it still feels like forever.

Cramping is more noticeable, too.  =(

  • @MelissaMay82 I’m sorry! When is your ultrasound? It’s so hard to wait especially when there’s something that concerns you.
  • @notawhoops I'm sorry! 2 weeks still seems like a long time. Are they open to doing any blood work to check hcg or progesterone in the meantime? It might give you a peace of mind. I hope the spotting and cramping stops!
@MelissaMay82 fwiw I had lots of early pink spotting with both my successful pregnancies. It seems like a good sign that it hasn't been constant and you haven't had it for 2 days! It might just be cervix irritation. Hoping your us is soon!!
  • I agree with @ramzlau that if you're truly concerned you can always go to the ER. In my last pregnancy I had light brown spotting for several days at about 6 weeks. I waited a week to get to my doctor for an ultrasound (everything was fine) and she said to always call their on-call line for bleeding and to go to the ER if I'm worried, rather than wait. I felt a little ridiculous going to the ER since light spotting is fairly common, but I shouldn't have. Listen to your body and get care if you think you need it.

Fwiw, yesterday I was having some light brown spotting and cramping. I think it's implantation bleeding, which I got with prior pregnancies. It is a little later than I'd expect (14-15 days after ovulation), but also my cycle was still a bit longer than normal after my loss in July (unrelated to the bleeding I mentioned).
