  • @hillbillywife my u/s is on Monday 11/2

@_orchid_ I actually did have a lot of bleeding last pregnancy (successful) but it was due to a SCH. PGAL brain is a mind f*ck though

  • Did anyone not have hcg double one time and still have a successful pregnancy? Currently freaking out because my levels hit the patient portal this morning and it only went up to 396.4 from 327.9. I called in to talk about it because they called me yesterday and said it was good so I relaxed a bit. They said it’s really too early to tell what’s going to happen but I’m super upset.
  • @hillbillywife I would be concerned with that beta too but don't panic just yet.  Are you waiting for them to call you back right now?  I would ask for another beta in 48-72 hours from the last one.

  • @laurad75 they called me right back, said they can’t tell what’s going to happen yet. Said to go to the ER if pain is extreme.  Another beta was already scheduled for tomorrow, so I’ll go in tomorrow before lunch.  Trying not to panic.
  • @hillbillywife I'm sorry you're going through this! FX for good numbers tomorrow!! Just try to get through today the best you can
  • @hillbillywife im sorry your going through this and its been hard and stressful for you. I hope your numbers look good tomorrow.
  • @hillbillywife I'm sorry, that is so stressful.  I know it is easier said than done but try not to worry too much yet, one off reading could be lab error. FX for better numbers tomorrow

@hillbillywife I'm sorry, I'm sure getting through today will be hard. I hope tomorrow's numbers are better. If you go tomorrow before lunch, should you get them back tomorrow afternoon?

I've been spotting every day for the last week and a half. It was bright red once last week and I had my levels checked (progesterone was fine, hcg doubled). It was still too early to see anything on an u/s but nothing abnormal popped up either - no fibroids, clots, etc. and lining looked fine. Sometimes there is nothing, sometimes there is just brown or light pink on toilet paper, but almost every day at least once when I go to the bathroom it is heavy enough to drop into the toilet. I have a follow up u/s on Monday and will be 6 weeks so I'm hoping we can see something then.  @laurad75
seeing that you had spotting every day for weeks and went on to have a healthy baby is probably the thing that has calmed my nerves the most!
  • @hillbillywife I'm sorry this is so stressful. I hope your numbers for tomorrow are better.

  • @hillbillywife I’m sorry you’re going through this. FX they can maybe get the results back sooner than Monday.

@nlc_atx sorry you’re having some light spotting and bleeding. Hoping your ultrasound Monday gives you more information.
  • I made it through almost all of yesterday without spotting, and then in the evening it was heavier than it’s been before. 😕  I’m touring a birth center this morning and the one I toured yesterday mentioned this one usually does a bonus ultrasound when you tour.  Good hook because if I manage to see a heartbeat today the whole visit will be rosy.

I’m still just 5+5 so I’m worried we still won’t see much, but at least we should see more than last time if things are progressing.
  • @hillbillywife I’m sorry, that is so stressful. FX for good numbers today. Hopefully you will be able to get the results later today!

@nlc_atx I hope you get an u/s today! That is definitely a good hook to tour a birthing center!

  • They didn’t offer an ultrasound this morning. I’m thinking maybe they do them if you’re far enough along that you don’t need a tv.

The bleeding got heavier today—enough to stain my jeans. I’m feeling discouraged, and especially sad that it’s now Friday. Trying to stay positive and distract myself but Monday can’t come soon enough.
  • @nlc_atx I'm sorry you are still bleeding today. Fwiw I've had two successful pregnancies with heavy 1st trimester unexplained bleeding. For ds2 I wore pads from weeks 5-9 and had a lot of bright red bleeding ♥️ take it as easy as you can this weekend
  • @nlc_atx I’m sorry your bleeding got heavier. Fix it tapers off soon!

  • @nlc_atx I’m sorry the bleeding has gotten heavier. I hope it lets up and you’re able to get through the weekend without the stress.

So, we’ve come up to a cottage for the weekend. It’s pretty isolated. I’ve had brown spotting on and off the last few days. But last night there was a small gush of bright red blood. So at 10 last night, we drove 40 mins to the local hospital, but they don’t have tv ultrasound and they don’t have the equipment to run a beta hcg blood test. The on call doctor didn’t even know how to use the ultrasound machine they did have. They gave me a requisition to get a beta draw at the regional hospital, which is like an 1.5 hour away.

The bleeding has been kind of slow but steady and is still red. I have a general full back ache. I had a SCH bleed in my last pregnancy, but it was at 13 weeks (I’m only 7 weeks). But with that I was at home in a familiar environment with easy access to our hospital/doctor.

I just feel very helpless and isolated, which is only adding to the anxiety spiral.
  • @pickle-chips It does sound so isolating for what was supposed to be a nice weekend away. I hope the bleeding stops and the beta comes back good. Does that regional hospital have the means to do an ultrasound?
  • @pickle-chips I’m so sorry!! That really stinks this is happening and putting a big damper on your weekend away. I’m so sorry the hospital was basically useless to you :( 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 The bleeding stops ASAP.

  • @pickle-chips oh no that’s awful. I hope your bleeding stops. My sch first started bleeding like that around 7 weeks (maybe even a little earlier). It finally dried up/disappeared around 12ish weeks.

  • @pickle-chips oh no! I'm so sorry that your bleeding and in the middle of no where and the hospital was useless to you and didn't have the appropriate equipment. That sucks that it ruined your little get away weekend. Im sorry. I sure hope your spotting/bleeding stops soon. Hang in there girl.
  • @pickle-chips I'm so sorry, that you are having do deal with this especially on your nice getaway weekend! I hope it stops soon! Sending you love!
  • @pickle-chips I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this and even more so in a place that is unfamiliar and apparently slightly unprepared for these situations.
  • @pickle-chips I'm so sorry you are bleeding. And it's terrible the hospital was completely useless. Hoping it stops soon for you.
  • Thanks, friends. It hasn’t gotten better, but it hasn’t gotten heavier either.  I have some cramping today, but I had cramping earlier too. I’m lounging and thinking sticky thoughts. We have some friends coming over for DH’s birthday tonight and while I’d like to cancel, I think acting like everything is going to be fine is better for my anxiety.

@pickle-chips going to a hospital where they aren’t equipped to help sounds beyond frustrating. So sorry you’re going through this away from home.  Fx it stops soon.
  • Had a good beta on Friday. I was probably more active yesterday than I should have been and had brown blood on my underwear when I got home from church today. Feeling kind of crampy today. I was feeling so calm yesterday and now I’m feeling unsettled and stressed again. I want to POAS but I don’t have any. Might have to run to the convenience store down the street and grab a couple just for peace of mind.
  • @pickle-chips how are you today? Are you heading home today? I hope you were able to enjoy some of your weekend away without worrying!

@nlc_atx I hope you had a good dinner last night! Are you still spotting today?

@hillbillywife being too active could be while you're spotting! At this point POAS isn't going to tell you anything that your beta draw on Friday didn't already tell you.
  • @_orchid_ I know 😩. It’s just the relief of “I’m still pregnant right now” comfort.
  • @hillbillywife I gotcha! I look at the ones I took at the beginning when I need that peace of mind, or look at the Dr portal. Sometimes it's not worth it to take it this far along though bc you might start worrying if the line doesn't look as dark- which isn't indicative of how well the pregnancy is going and might stress you out more! Are you doing betas again tomorrow?
  • Ok I won’t do it! And thanks for the reassurance @artsiefartsie

@_orchid_ yes betas tomorrow. I’m going to go in first thing in the morning so hopefully I get them back by the end of the day.
  • @hillbillywife GL with your betas Tomorrow. I hope they look great!
  • @hillbillywife I'm glad your betas are looking good from Friday. Hope the spotting stops for you soon.

  • I'm curious if anybody had implantation spotting? I've never had implantation spotting with any of my pregnancies but I'm wondering if it could explain why I'm spotting now?

I had implantation spotting at 9 and 10DPO, just a few spots when I wiped. But now I've been spotting everyday from 17DPO until 24DPO (today). I don't think it's still implantation bleeding but could it be that I just have a sensitive cervix now?

I'm grasping for straws because I really don't want to think the worse.

And I know I should step away from it but I wear my Fitbit 24/7 and my RHR has stayed the same for the last 5 days and everything I've read has said it should be going up.

I'm still 11 days away from my first appointment!

@notawhoops In my opinion, I would say that 17dpo -24dpo would be way too late for implantation bleeding. Spotting can be caused by alot of things. FX it stops for you soon.

I have a fitbit too that i wear 24/7 as well. My RHR has stayed the same for the past 4-5 days now and then started to go down even more too and im not spotting or bleeding at all and my hcg numbers are good. Its gone back up +1 today but it usually fluctuates up and down or stays the same for a week and that's normal. I used to think that if it wasn't constantly climbing up, that something bad is going to happen but its not a good indication that something is wrong. I try not to over think it now and dwell on the number( I know easier said then done). Everyone's RHR is different before pregnancy and during pregnancy.
  • @notawhoops I used to watch my RHR like a hawk too because I swear it was my first “symptom” of my pregnancy with DD. But now that I have watched it for years, I realize so many things affect it. From how well you sleep, how much you move throughout the day (when training for my half marathon it dropped by 15 beats), to how warm it is. Really try to not over think it. Spotting can be for a lot of reasons, and many unexplained. Take a breath and try to distract yourself, easier said than done I know.
  • I'm so anxious to hear everyone's results. FX for nothing but good news from everyone.
  • No good news from me today. I should be at least 6 weeks, but I'm measuring at barely 5 with a tiny gestational sac and nothing more.  I know when I ovulated because I track by measuring lh concentration--more precise than the strips with lines.  The doctor agreed that based on that, when I dtd, and when I tested positive it's just not possible that I'm only 5 weeks so it looks like I stopped progressing about a week ago.

My paperwork still only says threatened abortion, so I'm holding onto a thread of hope. I'm still waiting for blood work to come back tomorrow, but I'm really not sure there is anything it could say that would overcome the measurements. We also didn't even schedule a follow up u/s to see if there is any more growth, so I think the writing is on the wall.
