I have never been so happy to see a negative hCG test! Today's draw came back <0 . My transfer was almost 2 months ago so this has been such a frustrating process and I can't wait to move on. I'm waiting for my nurse to call me with my instructions and hopefully set me on a schedule for the new cycle.

Hello all!! Such great news from everyone!! I am so excited that we are now in the running for our Transfer!!
Our donor started meds on Monday, and we were told we get updates on day 8 & 10 (and any day after if it takes longer than that to trigger). We will of course then get eggs/fertilization and day 5 results.
She has triggered on day 10 the last 2 cycles, so likely no more than 11 days. Andrea and I both have had our Saline Sonograms and came back clear!! YAY!!
My TSH was a bit "off" so they put me on thyroid medication. I am hoping this does not mess up my transfer date!! They will have me do another blood draw before my baseline (Oct 6) to see if it looks better. If so (PLEASE GOD!!) then, all should be moving forward. Based on my other results, they are NOT recommending Lovenox now, so I will only be on the Aspirin, Estrogen & Progesterone (oil & suppositories). Our RE did not want us to take Prednisone or anything else. She is very study heavy so if nothing has been proven indefinitely she usually won't recommend it.
Andrea brought up the Yoni Steam which now I am going to do too and although I likely wont go do acupuncture with a technician, I will lay on my acupuncture mat at home leading up to the transfer.

ladyp0tter - My TSH gets slightly elevated from time to time so I've been put on levothyroxine during both transfers and then for the entire pregnancy I stay on it. Do you know what your level was? It takes a few weeks to kick in but if your level isn't terribly high I bet you'll get it straightened out by Oct. 6. If you're on the same medication as me make sure to take it in the a.m. before you consume food or drink, otherwise it messes with the absorption.

Its really hard watching one of my best friends continue on with her pregnancy when my failed and she was a week behind me. And now she feels the baby kicking and getting her belly and the jealousy is definetly underlying for me.
@lucyb1954 and @JamieH2000 My saline ultrasound went great! No scar tissue or retained tissue. I am soooo relieved.
My little niece (not so little any more because she is now 17!) is flying in today from Boston to check out college here in San Diego and I get 6 days one on one with my girl! Im beyond excited! Ive never had a chance with her as a teenager to spend this much time with her by herself. Its her first flight by herself too. It will be an amazing distraction while my donor is stimming. Its so weird..... Im so calm and almost barely realize that she is stimming because I have been so busy. I think this is a good thing, but its very abnormal for me to not have a bunch of anxiety and stress out over what the outcome might be. I think I have finally gotten to a place where I know I have no control and just gotta relax and wait and TRUST that it will all work out perfectly.
On a side note, I also got my $37,000 bill for my D&C and hospital stay. I was nervous for it because the girl who used our donor in Utah, just posted that she got her bill for her surrogate who had an emergency D&C weeks after her miscarriage and hers was $100k and she was responsible for $6k (which was her deductible). My responsibility is only $100!! I was shocked! But also made me think how much it sucks that not everyone has the same insurance with smaller amount due out of pocket.

@mbradfo2- I think it’s super smart to listen to your gut and take the cycle off. I think it’s great to have time to really talk to your RE and come up with a good plan. Another good place to learn sooo much about protocols for low AMh is the the Facebook group LOW AMH DOR sisterhood. The fall and holidays are hard for me too. Lots of disappointment during this time of year in the past. Now sure how I will handle it if things still aren’t going good in 2 months from now. One step at a time I guess.

@andreamm31- that sounds like a nice time with your niece!! And you sound in such a good place mentally! I have such good feelings for you guys on this cycle!! And yes, medical insurance is crazy. Luckily my insurance covers IF (super rare in WI) but our deductibles are 3300 and OOP Max is 6600. And we had to pay for the donor fee and all all that. So we have spent over $40k in the last five years on all of this, even with insurance. Crazy, but worth it. Some people spend $40k on a car. So that much for a baby or two doesn’t seem horrible. Except for most people get babies for “free”...

@lmajin99- yes we tested 4 of the 8 embryos bc it can be risky since they were frozen. All 4 came back normal. My chemical could have been caused by the rethaw and freeze... or my endometritis. Hard to know. But I wanted to know I was transferring a normal one since I can only do one at a time.

@ladyp0tter and @andreamm31 yes, so glad your ultrasounds came back clean!!! That's perfect. Generally speaking UFC will just give you an update that's like, oh, your donor is looking good -- but feel free to press them and ask how many follicles at what size etc. Idk if that's policy to just give those kind of updates or they aren't used to people who know a lot, but don't hesitate to lean on them for more info.
@JamieH2000 your hysteroscopy is coming right up! I know this has been such a long dragged out process for you. Glad you could have a little break in there -- I seriously want to plan something to get away for a bit, but I'm still nauseous so it's hard to plan on when that will go away.
@laurad75 Yes!!!!!! Awesome news, I'm glad to hear that your HCG is back down to 0 and you can get started on your next cycle! It sounds like your last FET just had an unusual result, so I'm hopeful for your next round. Excited that you can get started again
@Imajin99 Totally understand about not testing and not even thinking you would get to this point. At some point with IF you wait so long, you just start thinking it's not even going to happen. Plus you have a really great amount of embryos, which is just thrilling!

@lucyb1954 - that's exactly what we had to do yesterday. You nailed it. She responded saying Donor was in for u/s and everything looked GREAT!! we both asked how many follicles they were measuring.
So for right now, she has 23 follicles. We didn't get sizes, but based on her last round where she got 17 mature eggs, I'd say she is as good if not a tad better. They told us they were going to not drop her meds this time in hopes to grow a few more out this time, so hopefully we can get 24-30 mature eggs. She goes back tomorrow for another U/S and likely will trigger tomorrow night or Thursday. Likely retrieval will be Friday or Saturday!!
SO EXCITED. AFM: I am taking thyroid meds because my TSH level was a bit off. I have a order to go back next week to get that tested. Hopeful it goes back down so we can continue this cycle for transfer.

@lucyb1954 Kristi said she would have one of the other girls give us the information. We didn't hear from Kristi until later in the evening on Monday...Every milestone is so nerve wracking!!! I will try to get more specifics on follicle size this time to see if 23 meant 23 or 18-20 mature. Maybe today it will be 25-30 with 20-24 mature...that's more in line with my hope for this cycle. since we are splitting it. I went crazy with math and looks like we can get 4-5 PGS normals each with 24 mature eggs (generically of course assuming fertilization rates between our husbands and if her quality remains the same).

We got the update! 37 follicles. 5 are 19mm, 1 at 18mm, 5 at 16mm, and 4 at 15mm and the rest are under that. So we are giving the donor one more day of meds and recheck tomorrow to see how she is looking and see if the mid range ones have caught up. Then likely triggering tomorrow night with retrieval on Saturday! Eeeekkkkkk. Im feeling good and confident. We are praying so hard that we get more mature and end up with a great amount of follicles to work with! Thanks for all checking in with us ladies. @c-town18 - yes, we are super excited. Nervous that of the 37 only 15 looked mature so far, but Andrea is trying to assure me that the others will catch up in the 3 days we have until Retrieval!! We are praying we can end up with 25 or more mature ones. 30 would be IDEAL!!
As for her last retrieval yes, they did PGS test of the 10 embryos from 17 mature eggs, ALL 10 were normal (4 girls, 6 boys)!!! I know men determine the sex, but I am excited of the more boys in that 10 because I really want a boy if I can carry one!! She has a boy of her own too so just praying that with my husbands sperm (and the fact that his brother only has boys) is telling of what our outcome will be.

Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

afm- assuming my covid test comes back negative, I am on for my hysterscopy next Thursday. If I get clear results back by 10/12 (which 11 days better be enough!) then my nurse said we could aim for an 11/9 transfer! I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I know getting a clear biopsy back is the big first step. And I just have this bad feeling my bad luck isn’t going away yet

andreamm31 and @LadyPotter - Wow! Such a great update! Look forward to hearing about the final results, you both must be on pins and needles waiting. @JamieH2000 Good luck with the hysterscopy, hoping the results are clear and you can get started in November. We may be transfer buddies.
AFM: They have indicated it could take up to 6 weeks for the embryos to be shipped to the clinic, certain permits need to be obtained. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they arrive in time to complete a transfer in early November. Is the transfer date usually Day 20 of your cycle? I have received the grading of the blastocysts and wanted to share that and ask for any advice on which one to choose. My RE is really hesitant to put back two but if one is substantially lower quality then I may be able to convince him. Results: 4 - 5AA; 2 - 4AA; 5 - 5AB; 1 - 5BC; 1 - 4BB Any insight would be super helpful
@Imajin99 Grading isn't the be all, end all, to my understanding but 5AA would be the best and the 4BB or 5BC would be the worst in traditional grading schemes.
My DD was a 4BB day 6 embie so really, I think all of your embryos are likely pretty good!

@lmajin99- I sure hope they get here soon with no delay!! I think all of those grades are pretty good! I totally get wanting to transfer two when you have waited so long. I transferred two three times, and the last time both stuck, but I lost one at 7 weeks. It was hard, but since I developed pre e at 28 weeks with a singleton, I have no doubts I wouldn’t have hardly made it to 28 weeks with two... such a personal choice!!

Imajin99 - On my first transfer I just told them to put in the best looking embryo and let the embryologist use his professional judgment and it worked out. I probably would have transferred 2 if mine were untested but obviously if you don't want twins or have medical complications that would make carrying twins more dangerous then that's a different story.
@Imajin99 I did the same as C-town and just had them pick. Sounds like you have a bunch of really good graded embryos so that is amazing! For my donor cycle the best quality one was a chemical so then I just said, transfer the next best and that one became my baby girl! I hope they are able to get those embryos to you soon!!! So exciting!!

@Imajin99 we are doing so great!! Thanks for asking 🥰. I’ve been furloughed thanks to Covid and just thrilled to be in “extended maternity” leave! Baby girl is 4 months old now and I still can’t believe it. It’s really like they say, this was the exact baby I was always meant to have, she’s perfect. Now granted she’s a baby so we have had our fair share of drama and challenges, and we are currently in the 4 month sleep regression (although maybe getting out of it a little???) so it’s not all roses but it’s pure true love and I still wake up every morning exhausted but unsure how I ever got so lucky to get to be HER mother. There are still lots of tears but they are backed by a very different emotion.

AFM: Our donor had her retrieval today! We got 26 eggs with 24 mature. So Gina and I both got 12 eggs. Praying we have at least 10 each fertilize! We will find out our fertilization report tomorrow! We were a little disappointed in the quantity since they told us there was 37 follicles in there a few days ago. But we gotta trust that the ones they retrieved were the most mature and the best quality. Pray for us ladies! We will keep you updated!

Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. @hopefuljj That's what I've always said. The journey sucks, but the destination makes it all worth while. I get that some moms don't always feel that insta-connection but I did in spades and it was and still is amazing. I remember telling my doctor I almost felt afraid of how much I loved DD; it was truly like having my heart walking around outside of my body.
@JamieH2000 Hopefully with this next cycle, so I'm just waiting for CD1 at this point, haha. Hopefully soonish? I think? If it's irregular again, ugh. I never had this problem before; I was always 28/29 days on the dot. Which is why I always thought it would be easy for me to get pregnant. Thousands of dollars later....

I know you mentioned you guys were hoping for more based on the number of follicles; I would take a lower number of high quality eggs (which it sounds like this donor's have been in the past) over gobs and gobs of "meh" eggs any day though. I really think you ladies are going to be in good shape here. Can't wait to hear more!

Our donor started meds on Monday, and we were told we get updates on day 8 & 10 (and any day after if it takes longer than that to trigger). We will of course then get eggs/fertilization and day 5 results.
She has triggered on day 10 the last 2 cycles, so likely no more than 11 days. Andrea and I both have had our Saline Sonograms and came back clear!! YAY!!
My TSH was a bit "off" so they put me on thyroid medication. I am hoping this does not mess up my transfer date!! They will have me do another blood draw before my baseline (Oct 6) to see if it looks better. If so (PLEASE GOD!!) then, all should be moving forward. Based on my other results, they are NOT recommending Lovenox now, so I will only be on the Aspirin, Estrogen & Progesterone (oil & suppositories). Our RE did not want us to take Prednisone or anything else. She is very study heavy so if nothing has been proven indefinitely she usually won't recommend it.
Andrea brought up the Yoni Steam which now I am going to do too and although I likely wont go do acupuncture with a technician, I will lay on my acupuncture mat at home leading up to the transfer.

ladyp0tter - My TSH gets slightly elevated from time to time so I've been put on levothyroxine during both transfers and then for the entire pregnancy I stay on it. Do you know what your level was? It takes a few weeks to kick in but if your level isn't terribly high I bet you'll get it straightened out by Oct. 6. If you're on the same medication as me make sure to take it in the a.m. before you consume food or drink, otherwise it messes with the absorption.
@jamieh2000 @laurad75. I hear ya girls with all these pregnancy announcements. Its really hard watching one of my best friends continue on with her pregnancy when my failed and she was a week behind me. And now she feels the baby kicking and getting her belly and the jealousy is definetly underlying for me.
@lucyb1954 and @JamieH2000 My saline ultrasound went great! No scar tissue or retained tissue. I am soooo relieved.
My little niece (not so little any more because she is now 17!) is flying in today from Boston to check out college here in San Diego and I get 6 days one on one with my girl! Im beyond excited! Ive never had a chance with her as a teenager to spend this much time with her by herself. Its her first flight by herself too. It will be an amazing distraction while my donor is stimming. Its so weird..... Im so calm and almost barely realize that she is stimming because I have been so busy. I think this is a good thing, but its very abnormal for me to not have a bunch of anxiety and stress out over what the outcome might be. I think I have finally gotten to a place where I know I have no control and just gotta relax and wait and TRUST that it will all work out perfectly.
On a side note, I also got my $37,000 bill for my D&C and hospital stay. I was nervous for it because the girl who used our donor in Utah, just posted that she got her bill for her surrogate who had an emergency D&C weeks after her miscarriage and hers was $100k and she was responsible for $6k (which was her deductible). My responsibility is only $100!! I was shocked! But also made me think how much it sucks that not everyone has the same insurance with smaller amount due out of pocket.

@andreamm31- that sounds like a nice time with your niece!! And you sound in such a good place mentally! I have such good feelings for you guys on this cycle!! And yes, medical insurance is crazy. Luckily my insurance covers IF (super rare in WI) but our deductibles are 3300 and OOP Max is 6600. And we had to pay for the donor fee and all all that. So we have spent over $40k in the last five years on all of this, even with insurance. Crazy, but worth it. Some people spend $40k on a car. So that much for a baby or two doesn’t seem horrible. Except for most people get babies for “free”...

@Imajin99 Totally understand about not testing and not even thinking you would get to this point. At some point with IF you wait so long, you just start thinking it's not even going to happen. Plus you have a really great amount of embryos, which is just thrilling!

@lucyb1954 - that's exactly what we had to do yesterday. You nailed it. She responded saying Donor was in for u/s and everything looked GREAT!! we both asked how many follicles they were measuring.
So for right now, she has 23 follicles. We didn't get sizes, but based on her last round where she got 17 mature eggs, I'd say she is as good if not a tad better. They told us they were going to not drop her meds this time in hopes to grow a few more out this time, so hopefully we can get 24-30 mature eggs. She goes back tomorrow for another U/S and likely will trigger tomorrow night or Thursday. Likely retrieval will be Friday or Saturday!!
SO EXCITED. AFM: I am taking thyroid meds because my TSH level was a bit off. I have a order to go back next week to get that tested. Hopeful it goes back down so we can continue this cycle for transfer.

8/2020. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't.
9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls
10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP

2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21
7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time
2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
As for her last retrieval yes, they did PGS test of the 10 embryos from 17 mature eggs, ALL 10 were normal (4 girls, 6 boys)!!! I know men determine the sex, but I am excited of the more boys in that 10 because I really want a boy if I can carry one!! She has a boy of her own too so just praying that with my husbands sperm (and the fact that his brother only has boys) is telling of what our outcome will be.

IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

afm- assuming my covid test comes back negative, I am on for my hysterscopy next Thursday. If I get clear results back by 10/12 (which 11 days better be enough!) then my nurse said we could aim for an 11/9 transfer! I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I know getting a clear biopsy back is the big first step. And I just have this bad feeling my bad luck isn’t going away yet

@JamieH2000 Good luck with the hysterscopy, hoping the results are clear and you can get started in November. We may be transfer buddies.
AFM: They have indicated it could take up to 6 weeks for the embryos to be shipped to the clinic, certain permits need to be obtained. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they arrive in time to complete a transfer in early November. Is the transfer date usually Day 20 of your cycle?
I have received the grading of the blastocysts and wanted to share that and ask for any advice on which one to choose. My RE is really hesitant to put back two but if one is substantially lower quality then I may be able to convince him.
Results: 4 - 5AA; 2 - 4AA; 5 - 5AB; 1 - 5BC; 1 - 4BB
Any insight would be super helpful
Grading isn't the be all, end all, to my understanding but 5AA would be the best and the 4BB or 5BC would be the worst in traditional grading schemes.

My DD was a 4BB day 6 embie so really, I think all of your embryos are likely pretty good!

AFM: Our donor had her retrieval today! We got 26 eggs with 24 mature. So Gina and I both got 12 eggs. Praying we have at least 10 each fertilize! We will find out our fertilization report tomorrow! We were a little disappointed in the quantity since they told us there was 37 follicles in there a few days ago. But we gotta trust that the ones they retrieved were the most mature and the best quality. Pray for us ladies! We will keep you updated!

10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP
1/19/2021 Embryos shipped from Utah to my local clinic, starting prednisone for anti-histamine protocol.
2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21
7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time
2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
That's what I've always said. The journey sucks, but the destination makes it all worth while. I get that some moms don't always feel that insta-connection but I did in spades and it was and still is amazing. I remember telling my doctor I almost felt afraid of how much I loved DD; it was truly like having my heart walking around outside of my body.

Hopefully with this next cycle, so I'm just waiting for CD1 at this point, haha. Hopefully soonish? I think? If it's irregular again, ugh. I never had this problem before; I was always 28/29 days on the dot. Which is why I always thought it would be easy for me to get pregnant. Thousands of dollars later....
Summer 2015 - no BFP yet, labs normal, referred to RE
Fall 2015 - Summer 2016 - Further testing all normal. 3 IUI's -- BFN. Recommended move to IVF. Planned cycle for fall 2016.
September 2016 - Surprise natural BFP. MMC @ 8 weeks. RE expressed confidence that we just needed the 'right' embryo.
Fall 2016 - Spring 2017 -- Break from TTC
June 2017 - Started IVF; egg retrieval for freeze all cycle. 9 mature eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized. 2 4BB embies on ice.
August 2017 - FET transfer both embies. BFP. Twin pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound. EDD 4/28/18
September 2017 - Twin B stopped developing; Twin A doing perfectly! Graduated from RE @ 10 weeks
March 2018 - Baby Girl born via C/S due to pre-eclampsia -- strong and healthy!
