@bserena @babywiik agreed! if it doesnt work out with private group (based on the feedback and lack of response from admin) I think we should discuss jumping straight to fb. I don’t want to lose any members bc of technical issues

Agree with going straight to FB if there are issues trying to set up a TB private group. I think it would be nice to be on Facebook by mid-september as babies will likely start arriving in October.

I’m fine with whatever! Just be patient if we’re all migrating Monday. We’re having a hurricane hit tonight / Monday and another one on Tuesday / Wednesday so I may be a little touched out for a few days depending how things go

Although, I'm with @Ecat504 on a crazy couple of days coming up - we have thunder storms with expected dry lightning coming in tonight and the first day of school tomorrow, if, you know, the power is on and we aren't all on fire.
Like seriously, fuck 2020. I'm so glad that at least I get a baby out of this shitshow of a year.

Was offline for a week+ so I missed this discussion. I don't have a FB account, so I won't be making that transition. I know I'm in the minority on the topic so I don't want to derail this thread, but if there's anyone else who wants to keep in touch via an alternative method (continue pursuing the private bump group, whatsapp, etc) perhaps we can open another discussion?

@asparqgusseason I made an FB solely for the BMB group, and everything is super locked down and private. I just wanted to second @crizz13 on that being an option! But I understand if you don't want to do that.

@asparagusseason I also don't have Facebook at the moment (I'm super not into social media) but asked MH to help me set up a private account just for this group. If you dont want to though, I have whatsapp and will keep in touch with you there! I think it'll be so helpful to have contact with mom's who have babies the same age!

@lurvleybunchococonuts awww, you're very sweet! I think I'm ready to dip my toes in the social media waters so will most likely join the FB group as well (I didn't know that private accounts were possible and it scared me to be out there for everyone to see) but I totally understand for those who don't want to. This group has been so valuable for me so I am totally for keeping in touch in other ways as well so no one gets left behind!!

Hi @sweetzypie1286! I agree that the bump app is not the easiest to use! In fact it's super slow🙄 would you mind popping into the intro thread again and introducing yourself? Maybe you could use a desktop if the app is too troublesome? I would really like to get to know you but like the others said, I couldn't find your intro and I just spent the last hour rereading all of the 11 or so pages of intros determined to find you! So, either I missed it or it's hiding really good! Also, it would be great if you would try to participate a bit more, even weekly so we can get to know you a bit better. We really want to be inclusive here and if you've been reading our posts I'm sure you feel like you know us and want to continue to be a part of this group. The problem is, many of the other moms here have had negative experiences with random people trying to get into the FB group who aren't even pregnant. I'm sure this isn't the case with you but I hope you can be understanding with our hesitancy to invite someone we are not familiar with to a private group where personal information is shared more freely. I'll still be popping onto the bump daily to see what's happening and hope to connect with you on some other threads!

@memar12 no, most people sent a message asking to be invited and then we were trying to think of people that were missing to send a message to so no one gets left behind. I'm sorry if you got missed!🙈 send crizz13 a message and I can let her know to check the bump.

Edited to add: but feel free to stick around here. I know there are some newer folks so I will continue posting and it would be nice to have some more people to get some conversation going.

@memar12 hey there! See the FB migration post ecat just posted. You must've missed our earlier posts about moving to FB. We just had people reach out to us if they were wanting to join FB so it definitely isn't that you haven't been "selected" or anything like that! @crizz13 exactly what you said! Which is also why I'm a month late in even responding to this post! I find it so much easier to keep up and participate on FB. I've popped in here and participated sporadically, but the FB platform is much more usable for me.
