How’d you find out? We’d been trying for a few months and I was on cycle day 35, 33 days is my max so I took a test and it was positive!
Other children/pets? Daughter Nov 2006 Daughter July 2011 Son December 2016 and a 1 yr old puppy!
Job? Well... I’m a certified special ed teacher, but never actually started working as one because we keep having a babies! So I provide nanny services from my home, I’ve been working for the same family for the last 3 years- their son is the same age as mine, and their baby will be 1 in December. So it’s a house full of children!
Things you like to do? Read, garden, camp, spend time outside.
Spouse/partner? Together since 2005, married since 2017.
First appointment? Haven’t made one yet 😬
Any symptoms? Nauseous from 10 am - 1 pm for the last few days.
High risk / concerns? Well, I’m 36, so that makes me old in baby having years. Also, my other 3 children were born via c-section. My first was a 28 hour labor with induction at 41 weeks, and a very close call. She was 9lbs, her head was over the 100th percentile. I’m a petite person. My second was 8.5lbs, no complications. My third was also 8.5lbs, with some small complications. This will be my fourth c-section. So I think I might fall into the high risk category.
How’d you find out? We’ve been actively trying for a couple months, and got a bfn before we traveled to see my parents this weekend. We just got home this morning, so I took another test. Got a faint line on a cheap equate test, which my husband didn’t believe meant positive (even though we already went through “faint = yes” with our daughter 😂). Ran out and grabbed a digital and that got Hubby convinced! lol
Other children/pets? One daughter, June 2016 Bump Baby (@babyyodaonboard Hey fellow Juner!!!), two puppers, and the best kitty ever
Job? SAHM/office manager for my husband’s company
Things you like to do? Sew, crochet, photography, nap
Spouse/partner? Married in 2013
First appointment? Not set yet
Any symptoms? Nothing much
High risk / concerns? Nerves about early miscarriage, but trying to focus on the positives and trusting God.
How’d you find out? I felt like I had severe PMS symptoms at first. Tested twice. Husband wanted a digital test to confirm.
Other children/pets? A 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. A rambunctious 2 year old mutt and two senior kitties. It'll be a full house.
Job? I was working as a high school English teacher until this summer. I quit due to my decision to (temporarily) homeschool my son due to COVID restrictions. Also, we were planning on trying for a baby and we cannot afford daycare for three.
Things you like to do: cook, read, garden, spend time outdoors
Spouse: Married in 2012
First appointment: I need to call tomorrow to set one
Concerns: I'm a plus size mom, and I know that puts me at higher risk for GD/other complications. I never lost much of my baby weight after my daughter's birth three years ago.
@yellingbanana I have a similar concern to yours with the size of the baby and that being a complication. My first was 9lbs 14.5oz and it was not expected at all! I have to be careful and hopefully advocate for a growth ultrasound at some point with this pregnancy. My H was that big when he was born and it’s a similar traumatic birth story so it’s definitely a concern! Did you have a c section with baby #2 because of what happened with your first?
@coastalmomma3 I’m also plus size and concerned about the complications that could bring. I was at an okay weight with my first (overweight but just slightly for my height) but gained a lot with her and didn’t really lose any of that. In fact I’m only like 10lbs lighter now than the day I gave birth in January 2018.
How’d you find out? Took a teat in the day I thought was the first of my period and tested negative. A week later of exhaustion, smell sensitivity and no period, took a second test and bfp.
Other children/pets? Son, Janury 2017
Job? Risk Manager
Things you like to do? Hiking, hanging with the family, reading
Spouse/partner? Married my husband in 2009
First appointment? Not scheduled yet
Any symptoms? Exhausted, peeing all the time
High risk / concerns? I had gestational diabetes with my first, and will have to carefully monitor carbs for the whole pregnancy so... whoo
@julianne0 DANG! That is a big baby! And yes, we went with c-section for the second partly because I had some ptsd from our first experience. But also because I did a LOT of research to find some top OBs and Hospitals, the OB I chose didn’t offer VBACs because of the risk. It ended up being a good decision, I suck at dilating 😆 went into labor with my 3rd for half a day before c-section- and wasn’t dilated a bit!
@julianne0 Did you have a c-section with yours? How many weeks were you when they were born? My first was 9lbs9oz at 41w 4d - failed induction that ended in a c-section. Second baby was 9lbs6oz at 39w1d scheduled c. No GD with either.
@yellingbanana I’ve heard it’s best to get a csection for subsequent births because of the risk of it happening again! I didn’t need one with my second because we had tonnnsssss of ultrasounds with her because she was considered high risk because of the NT scan!
@texas_t no csection! For either baby. I was 41w. I was pushing for 3.5 hours, which apparently should’ve been an indicator that she was big. She got stuck at the shoulders. She was pretty distressed when they got her out and was quiet but then screamed a lot but other than that there were no issues with her
How’d you find out? Kept feeling like I was going to start my period and never did, then fell asleep on the couch(very not like me) so went out and got a test as soon as I woke up. Instant solid pink lines when I tested last Sunday
Other children/pets? Oct.15 boy, and Jan.18 girl
Job? SAHM and substitute preschool/infant/toddler teacher
Things you like to do? Boating, camping, hanging out with family and friends
Spouse/partner? Together since 2006, married since 2011
First appointment? Haven’t made it yet. I need to call tomorrow
Any symptoms? Exhausted!! I never take naps, I have fallen asleep everyday for the last two weeks! Also starving all the time.
High risk / concerns? No, may try for VBAC, not sure after 2 c-sections.
How’d you find out? Period was late. We were on vacation all last week and didn’t want to worry about it while we were on vacation so put it off really thinking AF would come. Got home yesterday and got a BFP this morning! Whoops, maybe forgetting about it on vacation wasn’t my best idea 😬🍹
Other children/pets? No children. 1 cat & 1 dog.
Job? Marketing Manager
Things you like to do? Hiking, anything on the water, having wine girls nights 😭
Spouse/partner? Married in 2019
First appointment? TBD. Haven't called yet
Any symptoms? No! Nothing - which I feel lucky for but also makes me nervous.
High risk / concerns? None at the moment. Myself and my siblings were all over 9 lbs (my brother over 10lbs)...so that makes me nervous. Haha
@sienna221 welcome! Same due date as you based on LMP but won't know real date until my first appointment. I also have barely any symptoms if it makes you feel better! I had some just barely last week (extra tired/hungry/ thirsty, boobs hurt) but they all went away and haven't come back - though I'm starting to get tired again.
How’d you find out? We did a frozen embryo transfer on Aug. 26. I started testing at home (and getting positives!) on Sept. 1. Follow up blood work confirmed the pregnancy!
Other children/pets? Our daughter, a February 2018 bumb baby.
Job? I'm currenty a SAHM, but I used to work as an elementary special ed teacher.
Things you like to do? I enjoy cooking and trying new and interesting foods and recipes. I read and try to do yoga regularly. My husband and I love to travel, but that has been cut down significantly since our daughter was born, and even more so since COVID.
Spouse/partner? I started dating my high school sweetheart in 2006, we got married in 2013.
First appointment? I've been in for blood work and scheduled my first ultrasound for Sept. 25.
Any symptoms? I'm insatiably hungry and super bloated by the end of the day. I've also noticed my sense of smell is more acute.
High risk / concerns? Not really. Our daughter was breach so I had a scheduled c-section with her. I'm not sure if I'm going to try for a vbac or not. I'm also a little worried about being pregnant/having a newborn during a pandemic
How’d you find out? We had been trying and tested positive first day of missed period
Other Children/pets? 3.. 9 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and 1 year old daughter
Job: SAHM
Spouse/Partner: Married 2012
First appointment: September 22
Any symptoms: no symptoms, but fatigue
High Risk/concerns: Tad worried about no Symptoms & I do not “feel” pregnant besides small bump already showing .. I will be progesterone shots again (was on for previous 3 due to son being premature)
Hello! I’m new to these message boards. I read some of them for my last pregnancy, but I didn’t really participate. Excited to join you all this time!
Due date? May 11th
How’d you find out? We’ve been trying for a few months, and I was taking a lot of tests lol
Other children/pets? One son - 2.5yo
Job? Supervisor of an office
Things you like to do? Read!! Especially mysteries. I can already see my pace slowing down because I’m so tired though
Spouse/partner? Married in 2015
First appointment? I’m 5 weeks now, and my first appointment is set for 8 weeks
Any symptoms? Yes! I feel so dang pregnant I half expect to feel a kick lmao. So tired, sore boobs, super sense of smell. Enjoying those days before the nausea strikes. I was nauseous every day from 6 or 7 weeks until delivery last time unfortunately
High risk / concerns? Considering trying for a vbac, but I’m leaning towards RCS. And I’m concerned about the pandemic
@sparebitofparchment also thinking about RCS vs VBAC. Last csec was because of breech, totally low key and would do it again. But I've also heard that recovery from the 2nd can be harder. And also, it's bigtime surgery!
@morgantu I had a RCS with my daughter and it was actually not bad at all. I mean obvious discomfort and pain but much easier than the first time around. I did labor for 18 hours with my first before the c-sect so that might have made it worse. But I was in the hospital 5 days after my 1st and 2 days with my second.
Due Date: this is a good question, because I have really long cycles and unpredictable ovulation, my best guess is late May 😂
How’d you find out? I was actually slated to start letrozole last week and was just taking my routine pregnancy test before starting the Rx. Unexpected (but welcome) BFP. We were definitely surprised because we’d been trying for a while and just recently was able to get a family planning appt with my OB. Last pregnancy was courtesy of clomid so we kind of assumed that’d be the case this time around. Bodies are crazy, right??
Other Children/pets? 2 yr old son, 3 year old pup
Job: sales manager for a tech company
Spouse/Partner: since 2004 🧡
First appointment: Oct 2nd
Any symptoms: So nauseous & fatigued
High Risk/concerns: I have a clotting disorder (managed), had pre-e with my last pregnancy and I’m 36.
@morgantu I had a rough time with my first. I’m hoping a planned c-section won’t be as bad as the emergency one. I don’t know that I’ll make the decision until I’m closer because there are lots of things to consider. But I bet I end up with a scheduled section this time
How’d you find out? A week after my 40th birthday, I realized my period was a couple of days late while I was out hiking and so took a test that afternoon. My cycles have been getting shorter and shorter (~25 days for the last year) and guess I didn’t know when I was ovulating as well as I thought I did. First time we had not used any type of protection in years... oops. (But we are super excited!)
Other children/pets? Almost 6 year old girl who has been asking for a baby brother or sister for years.
Job? Former high school teacher-> assistant principal-> school improvement coach-> stay at home mom currently
Things you like to do? Hike, knit, cook, travel, camp
Spouse/partner? He’s 49! And super surprised but hopeful that all will go well and excited.
First appointment? Next week at 5w4days
Any symptoms? Sore breasts, constipation, peeing a lot and waking up a lot at night.
High risk / concerns? As mentioned above, I’m 40 and my husband is 49, so there’s that. I’m a bit overweight but actually feeling really good this past year as I’ve managed to get out and hike 3 times a week. First Kiddo was 9lbs 12oz- and hoping that if everything else goes well, this one won’t be quite as big.
@morgantu we're in the same boat (my daughter was breach). I didn't think recovery for the csection was that bad, but I also didn't have a toddler to wrangle and we lived in a single level apartment ( no steps!). It would be nice to be able to schedule delivery, though, to make child care arrangements easier. Definitely a decision for down the road after talking to my doctor.
How’d you find out? We did a FET on Sept 1 and started testing Monday, got a squinter and the lines have been getting darker. Had my Beta today and it is official!
Other children/pets? One son, July 2017 Bump Baby, Two awesome cats
Job? Interior Designer
Things you like to do? Graphic design, crafting, baking, traveling pre Covid
Spouse/partner? Met 2006, Married in 2012

High risk / concerns? I will have a repeat C section after I had failed induction with my first. We are the group of large babies, mine was 9lbs 9oz and almost 23" long! I also had a previous MC before my son at 8 weeks, so I'll be a basket case until then!
How’d you find out? Sore boobs. Tested 1 day before expected period and clearly positive.
Other children: daughter sept 2016
Job? Mental health social worker
Things you like to do? Sew and bake
Spouse/partner? Married in 2008 together since 2005

Any symptoms?
Sore boobs and nipples fatigue
High risk / concerns?
I asked my on before we decided to ttc. I’ll be seeing a mfm from the start. I saw one last pregnancy and delivered early because of low amniotic fluid. I also have diabetes, so I’ll be referred to mfm.

How’d you find out? I *thought* my period started on 10dpo...2 days later the bleeding seemed to be lighter than normal...I had a feeling so I tested and got lines on 9 tests (yep. 9. Different brands. I thought I had my period so I didn't quite believe the first line).
Other children/pets? Daughter Jan 2014 Daughter June 2019
Job? High school teacher
Things you like to do? Read, draw, go on adventures with my girls
Spouse/partner? Together 20 years. Not married.
First appointment? Plan on hijacking my daughter's 15 month well baby visit on the 28th if I still have lines by then...
Any symptoms? Little bit of nausea, sore boobs
High risk / concerns? I'm 41 (DD2 was born when I was 40), I've had 2 MMCs and 2 D&Cs (14 weeks and 10 weeks) and hemorrhaged and almost died with my first loss...also this pregnancy started with heavy bleeding and the lines are still super light at 13dpo (just got my bfp at 12dpo) so not sure if this little bub will stick...but choosing to be hopeful. This will be my 3rd CS if it works out. So I'm here today and crossing my fingers that this one is a fighter:)
