  • @shlecks I am giving you a big internet hug. My mmc affected me more than I realized. I looked at the scale one day and realized I gained 15lbs. I say this to tell you to take care of yourself and talk to people when you are up to it. When my due date came that was another tough day,  but it helped me by talking about my feelings with my mom and best friend.
  • @shlecks I am so, so sorry. Take good care of yourself. Sending lots of internet hugs.

  • @shlecks I’m so so sorry. I hope to see you back here on a different board in the not too distant future!
  • @shlecks - I'm so sorry for your loss.  You'll mourn, and that's totally normal. I finally opened up and started talking about it publicly (including with people who didn't know we were pregnant) the day before our EDD and it has helped. I'm still hypersensitive of anniversaries of specific appointments, my IL&D+C, EDD, etc. but it's gotten better with time.  Please take care of yourself <3 I hope we see you pop up on another BMB whenever you feel like you're ready to start TTC again.

  • @shlecks I’m so sorry. I’ve been there and it truly sucks. I think the best advice I ever hear when dealing with a miscarriage was that however I felt was okay—angry, sad, ready to try again, relieved that it is at least over so we can move forward, not ready to try again. And I felt all of those things and more in cycles. I will say the positive thing about the surgery was that overall recovery physically was very quick. Thinking of you.

@shlecks Hope that your physical recovery is easy, and that your emotional recovery brings you some peace. Many of us have been down this road, but that knowledge doesn't make it any easier. Will be thinking of you and your family and wishing you all the best.
  • @shlecks I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing okay physically and emotionally. Take all the time you need to process and grieve and know there are a lot of people thinking of you and praying for you ❤️
  • I woke up this morning and there is blood upon using the restroom.... I find this to be not good. The last time I bled at this point it ended in a MMC that I had to wait like two weeks to confirm. It’s not from sex because we didn’t have sex last night. I’m feeling surprised because I started feeling ok and less anxious about this pregnancy....
  • @shlecks I’m so sorry. Thank you for all you did to help get this board up and running.

@birdiejo I’m so sorry. That must be very scary. Hang in there and call your doc. Fingers crossed everything is ok. 🙂.
  • @birdiejo FX that it’s just “normal” first tri spotting. Are you going to call your Dr.?
  • @szwill86 I called and the nurse told me to try not to do anything today and that it could be normal, I think that she’s asking the CNM if they want to do anything else but I’m not sure... I’m just waiting now and not feeling too good about it.
  • @birdiejo ugh, I’m sorry. The waiting and unknown time frame is awful. Hopefully your bleeding dissipates and you can maybe get in for an US sometime soon just for peace of mind!
  • They called back and said to rest to today and tomorrow and if I start having heavy bleeding or heavy cramping then go to the OBED. It makes sense but it just sucks because I’m just waiting to either miscarry, or in three weeks they’ll find no hb, or it’s fine.
  • @birdiejo I'm so sorry, I know you are super stressed right now. Thinking of you  <3
  • @birdiejo would you feel better and less stressed if you could go in for a scan this week or Monday? If so, I would call them back and ask for the reassurance. ♥️ Praying this is just a SCH resolving itself.

@shlecks I have been thinking of you. I'm sorry for your loss. Please be kind to yourself as you heal.  My thoughts are with you.
  • cmoon3cmoon3 member
@birdiejo  I have also had some spotting on and off. My SCH has expanded but luckily my doc's office squeezed me in for an ultrasound so I could see the HB.  Is that an option for you?
  • I think if I force the issue I could possibly get in for a scan. My concern is that this has happened before... went in immediately and there was a hb , they told me that meant good things... went back two weeks later and no more hb.

So, I don’t know... I think I’m going to see how it is tomorrow. If the bleeding stops then maybe I’ll hold out. I do have a distraction because we’re going to see my family on Saturday for a week so that’s good.

thanks all for the good thoughts!
  • @birdiejo keep us posted ♥️
  • @birdiejo sending good vibes to you. I hope the bleeding doesn’t come back and that everything is fine. I do think that if you called and mentioned your history and how you’re anxious about this, they could get you in for a quick scan. But I understand if you’d rather wait a day and see how you feel. Either way, I’m hoping for the best!
  • @birdiejo That sounds super stressful. Please keep us updated and don't hesitate to push for an US sooner if it will give you peace of mind.

  • I just had a gush of blood out of nowhere. No cramping. Some blood cots. It doesn't sound like spotting at all.
  • @earlgrey_honey can you call an after hours line?
  • @birdiejo FX that everything is ok. let us know how it’s going tomorrow. @earlgrey_honey same to you. ❤️

  • @earlgrey_honey do you still have bleeding? If it’s a gush of bright red (like, enough to warrant a pad), then I’d call the after hours line to see if you can be seen first thing tomorrow. I hope it’s all okay!
  • @earlgrey_honey I agree with the PP and think you should call the after hours line. With no cramping or other symptoms, hopefully it’s just a subchrorionic hematoma.
  • I don't think they have an afterhours line. I left a message on the portal and will call as soon as they open.
  • @earlgrey_honey fx that they get back to you today!
  • @shlecks we miss you and I'm so, so sorry to hear about your loss. Nothing hurts more. Wishing you a path through it.

  • Has anyone dealt with placenta previa? Apparently I have a “marginal previa” right now which is causing my spotting. Both my MFM and Ob don’t seem to be concerned and said usually it fixes itself but I’ve been spotting everyday since Tuesday. (I saw MFM tues and ob fri ) everything seems fine with baby HB is fine etc but isn’t it weird to just keep bleeding like this? At what point does it become “abnormal/worrisome”?
  • @lena1024 I don’t have experience with it, but I’m curious how they found it. Did they find it on an ultrasound? I had a coworker that had placenta previa but it was the end of her pregnancy as far as I know.

@lena1024 I'm sorry, I do not either, just wanted to say I hope you're feeling better soon. The only thing I have ever heard is what your doctor is telling you, that it usually resolves itself. Did they put you on bed rest? Please keep us posted & best of luck!

@animommy thank you! no not bed rest but I was told to “take it easy “ the next few weeks. No heavy lifting, no intercourse etc.

@babymamadimo when I had my MFM appt on Tuesday for the nuchal test they did a full u/s and checked everything and found the previa there  Everything im reading About it is mainly for the third trimester. Both doctors are confident that things will shift and it will be fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

    @lena1024
No experience here either. Just sending support.
  • @lena1024 I don’t have personal experience but I had a friend who had it and they discovered it during late first trimester because she kept spotting. Hers resolved itself by the anatomy scan I believe. She wasn’t on bed rest, more of pelvic rest like it seems they’ve advised you, but she did try to rest and put her feet up and much as possible. She said it helped the spotting and bleeding to be less for the day.
  • @mdfarmchick thanks for the info! Yea my dr said they won’t be rechecking it until anatomy scan so I’ll just take it easy until then as long as I’m still
spotting. It’s light for the most part and not every time I use the bathroom. I will try to put my feet up as much as I can.
  • @cmoon3 thank you!

@lena1024 I had placenta previa with my first and my experience was very similar to what @mdfarmchick described. Discovered in first tri in ultrasound, did pelvic rest and it resolved itself by the anatomy scan. Good luck!
