2nd trimester supposedly is better....
@dumbledoredies Fair enough! Sorry, I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad, I had just seen a couple people post how much weight they'd gained and was worried because I haven't gained as much. I have a history of miscarriage and this is the farthest I've ever made it so I'm nervous about everything!!! Definitly will ask my OB next time I see her, but just wanted an idea of what might be normal.
Fingers crossed you start feeling better soon!
@mia80 I totally get it. I stress about weight in general when not pregnant so I can only imagine the added concern if you’ve had a history of MC. Sending you hugs!
I personally have triggers for what a lot of people post, and didn't realize that asking about what others had gained would be an issue. I have struggled with my weight most of my life... But it's a big part of pregnancy so I thought it was ok to ask. I will try not to post anything going forward as this probably isn't the right forum for me.
I also want to say that I don't think anyone was upset at you for asking, they were most likely just speaking in general. I think the worry is that weight gain varies widely and is a very sensitive topic, so it is easier to avoid discussing it at all in hopes of not accidentally making someone else feel bad about themselves. I hope you stay with us and continue to post!
I've gained about 4 pounds, my friend who is due a week later has HG and lost close to 20 lbs. So yeah it varies

I guess I have A LOT of questions but for now I'd like to hear from other mommies: could you watch the screen during your ultrasounds???
I live in Toronto, Canada and apparently I have to watch the ceiling untill the technician is finished, and I'm shown my baby only for a minute or less. I'm from Greece however, and despite the fact I've never been pregnant before, this is the weirdest and most upsetting thing I heard!
Toronto moms (and all the moms) I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!
