2. Literally everything about being a mom and raising a kid is horrifically controversial. I will judge you on very few things. Car seat safety and how you respond to helpful people is one of them. But what and how you feed your baby is a major concern of EVERYONE (and I’m only side eyeing you if you’re giving your infant Oreos...) how you choose to dress your child, where they will go to school, it never ends. Research, ask questions, listen to others if you want but make your decision and stand firmly in it because you’ll always do something that others disagree with. 🙄
3. The thing I’m taking away most as a mom of 3, is I’d rather my kid take a pacifier. DD1 sucks her fingers and is about to be 6. I can’t take them away. I’ve taped them, I’ve painted them, we put the yucky stuff on it, nothing. Which hey whatever, it doesn’t bother me - I sucked my thumb until I was 12. DD2 took a paci and right before 2 I just cut her off cold turkey and that’s been great every sense 😂 so much easier to take away a paci than fingers.
@1MommyRunner are you the one who teaches English as a second language to kids in China? My sister would like me to teach some basic norwegian to my niece who is in kindergarten and I'm wondering if you have any tips for me. This would be remote. So far I've thought I can create some videos for her to watch and we will FaceTime.
Has anyone else been told their baby is in breech position?
32 weeks along and was just told baby is in breech at my last ob appointment. Doc said they would try to manually move her at 36 weeks, but if that doesn't work and she still hasn't flipped by week 39 then we would need to schedule a cesarean delivery
I'm doing exercises that supposedly help turn the baby (lots of time spent upside down lol). I was just wondering if anyone else has had a baby go breech and what the outcome was?
@autumn92c last ultrasound I had about a month ago, baby was breech, but at that point I was only 26ish weeks. My 2nd was literally breech up to 36 weeks and then would still flip flop up until the very end. They gave me an ultrasound at 39 weeks to check in, and he did a complete flip right during the scan. The tech was shocked that he flipped right around like that, but since he was so active, my dr said we would just have to play it by ear when the time came. He was completely in position on D-day. With my 3rd, he was transverse until I think about 36 weeks, and got into position by the right time, too. I remembered being terrified by even the mention of c-section, but was told that even if we scheduled one, they would still check beforehand, and if they were in position, we would not have to worry about the csection at that point. Fx baby gets into position for you!
@autumn92c last time I visited my midwife baby was head down but she said up until 36 weeks babies will change directions multiple times a day so not to worry about babies direction until then and even after that babies can move a lot. I'm a FTM so I'm new to all this But try not to worry too much! And like you said, there are lots of positions you can put yourself in that can help baby change direction but idk if they'd be useful until closer to the end if baby will just flip over again anyways? Another thing you could look into is using peppermint oil on the top of your belly if it's right at the end and baby hadn't moved. A friend of mine had luck with that but she also knows a lot of about oils so do your research because I don't know so much and don't want to recommend if it's not the best idea😜
