I think we have setteled on Esme Muriel (Muriel is my grandmas name) if its a girl and Cooper Morgan, if its a boy. Do they link with Preston amd Ava?? I personally love Ava&Esme together??
Can I get opinions? I think we have our name narrowed to to three choices: Cody Michael, Henry Michael, or Michael Alan
I love Cody, Michael is my H's middle name (in their family, the first born son usually takes the father's first name as his middle but my H's just doesn't work so we thought this was a compromise). I'm afraid Henry is super common right now but I like it and my H liked Heinrich so this was a compromise there. The last one, Alan is my dad and brother's middle name so it would be cool to have that link to my family. What do you think?
@SpartanCat I think they all sound great. I have a very common name for an 80s child, with an uncommon spelling to boot, and it wasn't really a big deal growing up. We just added our last initial to everything at school. If you love a name, go ahead and use it!
@mummasteen oooh I like both! Unusual names but not unheard of-which is usually my personal goal as a teacher plus they both have great nicknames if the kid wanted to be known by something other than full name. A little baby Remy would be adorable 😊

@SpartanCat I love them all. As a teacher I do see at least one Michael every year, but it's so classic. My brother just turned 30 and he is a Michael. We are using it as baby boy's middle name, Sloane Michael.
I've taught for 7 years and not had a Henry or a Cody.
My favorite of all your names is Michael Allen.

Well baby girl (who has been named Bailey Grace for several months now) just had a name change. We’ve switched to Grace Everly. Good thing I haven’t ordered or received anything personalized! I think this social distancing is giving me too much time to think!
DH family always uses a biblical name for the boys which means, there is nothing left that I like lol! We were thinking Shepherd instead. Still biblical-ish. But if Tres ends up being a girl, we'd like to name her Vivienne. In part to tribute after his mok Vivian who passed away when he was 20 and with the french spelling so it mimics big sister Juliette's name. However, I saw Genevieve the other day and I love that as well!!
@kakesworld I'm so excited about the idea that someone else is team green. I feel like there aren't many in this group. I don't do Biblical names - Shepherd sounds like a good compromise to me.

I love Shepherd (and even Shep)...not crazy but a rarely used timeless name. I like Vivienne too and think it goes very well with big sister’s name.
I just don’t know how you ladies have the willpower for team green. I admire your patience! I’m too much of a control freak/planner to not know gender until birth, but what an amazing moment to experience!
Team green. I have one of each already so this baby is a total suprise!! One funny twist... daddy knows what it is... he wanted to find out and i didnt. He has kept it a 100% quiet and i have no idea. Yup were crazy...
We're on our third team green baby. We do have one of each. And we don't really believe in gendered clothing anyway - so sex here doesn't change our clothing choices or decor choices. It only affects diaper changes and potty training.
My son prefers to match clothes with his sister. So they both own rainbow dresses. it's hilarious.
Honestly though because this is our last, if we had two boys or two girls I probably would have found out this time just so I could accept whether I'd have 3 of same sex or not before meeting baby. With one of each it's a complete non-issue.

@pourmeanothermocktail Yes!! Since we have one of each I felt like this would make this birth extra special to just do team green. Big brother over here loves some rainbows but he stops short of wearing dresses. And honestly at 6, all he'll wear now is under armour or that "light sports fabric, moooom" And @kjack86 I don't know how Ive done it either! Totally not in my nature. I cheat by looking at packages early during bday and anniversaries. I can not believe I've held true this whole time!! I did ask the obgyn to give me an envelope with gender back in December when we did our genetic testing and they did and doubled sealed it. I haven't even peeked. I'm shocked! DH would have liked to have known but he's waiting with me and I think it's actually made him pretty excited too.
@mummasteen We were team green for our first (boy). For our second, we wanted to be team green, but the ultrasound tech slipped and put it in the anatomy scan report! So I knew for the second half of the pregnancy that I was having a girl. DH knew that I knew, but I kept it a secret. To everyone else, I just pretended we were team green bc I didn't want anyone to pressure me or catch me if I accidentally slipped. This time, we are team green again, and knock on wood, no slipups!
I'm so late to this thread (due in 7 short weeks!), but we are having a girl and naming her Frances Ruth, which is both of our moms' middle names. She's been Frannie to us since we picked her name, but her first-time uncles want to call her Frankie, which is super cute, and one even said Froggie because her initials are FRG. I think they're all cute nicknames and I love that my brothers thought of their own pet name for her.
We have a long Polish last name, so choosing a name was difficult from the beginning!
