Most of my time is given to cleaning and caring for the kids but if I'm given extra time I enjoy using the bathroom in peace, reading and hiking .
Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m a FTM and this is my first pregnancy. Based on my LMP my due date is 11/26 (Thanksgiving!). I am a NICU RN by profession so I’m very used to the baby part, not so much the pregnancy part. I had my first U/S today so that was exciting and now I’m just doing labs to make sure everything is progressing ok. A little sad my hubs isn’t allowed to any prenatal visits but my Dr. was extremely accommodating and kind about calling him so he could listen or video chat. I tend to be high anxiety due to my job so I’m trying out new methods like the Headspace App and yoga to keep my thoughts positive.
@mimser I downloaded headspace (since it's free for healthcare providers right now) and haven't tried it just yet. Excited to hear the pregnancy series is a good one! I need to make time for it!

Hi There! I know I'm a little late to the game but wanted to jump in. Got a somewhat surprise positive on Monday after thinking i had gotten my period two weeks before (turns out it was light spotting) and we were under the care of a fertility specialist.
They had just informed me when i called to say I had gotten my period that they weren't starting new cycles because of COVID so I was shocked when it turns out i was pregnant all along!
This will be my 3rd little one, and we will be team green like the other two (I have a 5 yo boy and a 2 yo girl). Had my first ultrasound today and we are due November 29th. Looking forward to sharing with everyone.
I also take antidepressants and am trying to go off of them, but it has been really difficult. I talk to my doctor about it tomorrow, and I just hope we can figure something out. Do any of you have that issue as well? I know some of the medications I take are not good for the baby, but off of them I am a wreck, so I'm quite nervous about the next eight months or so. Anyway, I'm excited to be here and to get to know you all - especially during this time of self-isolation!
I take Zoloft for anxiety and have since after my daughter was born (back in 2018), and I plan to continue taking it unless there's an issue that the OB takes with it; my GP didn't see an issue. Unfortunately, I had to drop my ADHD medication when I got my IUD out, and that sucks. The Adderall did much, much more for my emotional regulation and overall balance, whereas Zoloft basically keeps me from spiraling as deep when it does happen. I'm very much looking forward to getting back on medication when pregnancy is done.
I know that choosing to take meds and how to take them is really specific and personal, but that's my experience. You're definitely not alone in balancing meds and pregnancy and all that.
I am not a natural contributor online - I second guess what I type & most of the time, I end up deleting it. I'm going to try to do better this time!
Hard same, lol; I do a lot of like, "Oh, I don't need to contribute to this" or "Does my opinion really add to this?" and it takes a while for me to get comfortable enough to not do that.
Hello! I'm a SAHM of 5 boys, ages 13, 10, 9, 6 and 4. We also homeschool. We weren't trying for this little one, so it's a surprise baby! I'm due on Thanksgiving. I haven't gotten any ultrasounds or been to a doctor because of the whole shutdown and I'm a little nervous. But technically I'm actually going with a midwife again, I only had a doctor for my first. A little late on the intro, but I was waiting for my first ultrasound which was yesterday! This is baby #3 for my husband and I! We have 2 sons, our first will be 4 in one month and our second is 18 months. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs (golden retrievers). I love to read, hang out with my kids, and go for very slow runs! 😊

Hi I’m Ashley, I’m 37 tomorrow and I’m from Canada. I have two children, a 14 yo daughter and a daughter that passed away in 2018 (my lovely daughter was 9, she had a chromosomal deletion). This is my first child with my second husband and he’ll be a first time dad. He’s from Morocco and just arrived in January so we didn’t want to wait to start trying!! Hello! I'm a SAHM & self employed artist/sculptor. I've just recently found out I'm expecting BaBy~4! This took me by complete surprise, as we struggled conceiving our 3rd child for almost a year. I'm 11 weeks & 5 days. I haven't seen my doctor just yet (waiting for the Covid-19 to ease away some). Glad to be a part of this forum.
Hi everyone! I’m a STM from Florida, with a 20 month old daughter and two cats, Barley and Hops. We haven't had an ultrasound (or in-office prenatal appointment yet) but the ovulation test would indicate a Nov 20 due date.
Like @karacc18 I didn’t realize I was pregnant at first! What I thought was a period turned out to be implantation bleeding, and it wasn’t until two weeks later when I thought I was about to ovulate that I went ahead and took a pregnancy test (okay, 3 pregnancy tests), and here we are!
I’m still in touch with my original bump month group via Facebook- they were the first ones to find out about my BFP - so I’m excited to get to know you all and hopefully make some lifelong friends in this group!
@doublestroller I posted my BFP in my bump Facebook group from Nov 2012 first too! I had 2 positive tests and one negative, so I had to get their input right away lol.

Stepping in to say hi! I never thought I'd be back on The Bump. I have an almost 6 year old and 4 year old twins via gestational surrogacy. I hadn't been feeling 100% and took a test on a whim two days ago and I'm pregnant! Still very much in shock. Like, whoa. I'm thinking I'm around 8 weeks but I have my first ultrasound on Tuesday. Hi everyone! A little late to the game here. Due November 30 (based on lmp) with baby number 2! Tried for a year to get pregnant with no luck, had just finished my first round of clomid in march. Doctors kept saying that there is typically better success the second or third round of clomid so I was through the roof excited when I got that bfp! First appointment is this upcoming Monday hoping everything is good and baby is growing. I feel like I will be more relieved once I get to see the little babe on the ultrasound. A little about me, I'm a bank teller, so "essential worker" right now and a bundle of nerves being around people. I've got a little boy who just turned 2 earlier in April. I enjoy hiking and anything outdoors! We actually had a road trip planned to yellowstone (we live in Ohio) later on in September. Not sure how those plans will hold since I will be about 7 months at that point, and not sure with the pandemic.

I am a dental assistant that is currently out of work due to covid-19 which is a blessing in disguise for me because I have been so sooo sick with this pregnancy. On top of that, I recently found out that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage (found in my first ultrasound) so I have been spending a lot of time looking into it as I am quite nervous and haven't heard of it before. If anyone has had SCH I would love it you would share your experience with me!!
@lac3y welcome!!! I had an SCH, it lasted from about 4 weeks to 8 weeks and finally resolved. It was definitely worrisome (I had bleeding because of it) but my OB assured me that it wouldn't hurt my little bean and just kept me on pelvic rest for a couple weeks (no sex or heavy lifting). I'd be happy to chat with you more about it and share my experience, let me know if you have any questions!

That has made me a little paranoid about every little thing (it still doesn't feel real most of the time), so I am excited to have people in the same stage as me that I can talk to!

Hi all! I've been following these boards for a while now, but too nervous to post anything until I hit 12 weeks... Which happened on the weekend! I'm 39,and a FTM from Saskatchewan Canada. My husband and I have been trying for 3.5 years now. I've been pregnant 3 times with IVF, but this is the first time I've made it to 12 weeks, so still pretty nervous, but starting to get excited 😊
@lac3y I have (had?) a SCH with this pregnancy -- it got gnarly enough in the bleeding department that I actually went the ER at one point around 8 weeks, so I feel you on the nerves.
So far everything has been good with the wee baby; it sounds like, from what my doc was saying, it's one of those things that isn't inherently dangerous and just needs time to heal in most cases. I've been on pelvic rest and no lifting since said ER visit, and will hopefully be cleared for pelvic duty at my Wednesday appointment because good lort. It's been ages.
